Personal and Environmental Factors in Cluster Headache Attacks

by | Nov 20, 2019

There are many reasons why cluster headache attacks may occur. The aim of this study is to determine what personal and environmental factors may play a role in the timing and severity of cluster attacks. Gathering data on this topic is critical to help formulate guidelines which doctors can follow in order to best manage patients with cluster headache. This study is being conducted at Yale University’s Department of Neurology under the leadership of Drs. Brian Koo and Emmanuelle Schindler, and has been approved by Yale’s Institutional Review Board for Research.

This study does not require any in-person visits, rather all information will be gathered via on-line questionnaires.  A variety of lifestyle-related topics will be assessed to better understand how your attacks may be affected by different aspects of your life. We will also be asking participants to report on cluster attacks as they occur.

If interested, please contact our research team at laura.burrone@yale.edu. One of our research team members will be glad to give you more information about our study.
