  1. Yes, from here. And he responded by PM to me here. I wasn't asking him about Ilya K's specific case, but about a good link to the D3 regimen, since the old one wasn't working. I have changed the links in the pinned posts. (Can't type "Ilya K" without thinking about David McCallum in "The Man from UNCLE." Ilya Kuryakin. A very old-time TV reference.)

  4. Getting the head scans and tested is a good start to rule out anything else. Next doctors visit you have try to get a prescription for oxygen. You will need to use a non rebreather mask and a flow rate of up around 25lpm. You can search oxygen on this site and find a tun of information on it. I will also down a 5hr energy drink on my way to the oxygen to help abort the attack faster, some will use coffee or other energy drinks. The Vitamin D3 is another good thing that will not hurt starting today and will help with more then just cluster headaches. Read up on this site and ask a lot of questions and people on here will be more helpful then any doctors you will meet. Welcome to the site.

  5. It sounds like classic cluster headaches from what you’re describing and I’m sure the more experienced members will answer you soon. I was prescribed Fioricet as well for “migraines” like 5 years ago. It probably won’t help you that much for this condition. I recommend you start the d3 regimen right away. Many sufferers find relief within a week to one month. It’s something you take all year round. @Batch developed it and he’s very knowledgeable on this. Put d3 into the search bar in the home page and you will find everything you need. I have found everyone on the forum to be more helpful than any doctor I’ve seen (5 neuros over the last 5 years and 1 primary care doc) pretty scary. Hope you find relief soon! You will kat

  6. I split the vitamins up into 3 in the morning and 3 at night. Always take them with a meal. I was instantly vomiting after taking them all on an empty stomach which Wasn’t smart on my part. Good luck!

  7. Send him a PM. Click on the envelope icon at the top right of any page, and type Batch into the To line. If he doesn't respond here, he will surely get back to you. The pinned post is outdated, and now even the link to more recent information is out of date. This will get you to Batch's discussion of the protocol (scroll down the page), but I'm not sure how much it will help you with your specific question. https://vitamindwiki.com/Cluster+headaches+substantially+reduced+by+10%2C000+IU+of+Vitamin+D+in+80+percent+of+people

  8. My experience has been only one side of my head, typically in my temple, closer to ear than eye. A real good one will effect my top gum line, and sometimes bottom jaw as well. it can often migrate to above ear to behind ear, down and a bit down neck. Still through all, the temple area is the most painful, radiating out. Mine are always the same side given a cycle mostly right, but once or twice my cycle has been on left side. Some may consider it lucky, but my top gum line above teeth gets sore first, giving me a 5-10min warning that a cluster is coming, the lucky part being the warning time to get to O2. For the first two years my Nuro prescribed my the Zolmitriptan's, and by the time they kicked in, my attack was almost over. So I would take one if I even had the slightest sensation an attack was coming, this created a bunch of rebound's, and overall did more harm than good. It was a life changer to find this board and learn about O2, and busting.

  9. Personally I found the fish oil to generate nausea. The volume of pills may be contributing to the nausea as well rather than the specific substance. Try dividing the doses instead of taking all at once to see what you might be sensitive to. I would defer to Batch for final suggestions as this is his baby.

  10. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my first CCH struck on Jan. 11, 1970. My last one was at 4am this morning. I experience as few as 1 per day and as many as 8 (aka daisy chain or bone crusher) with 2 being about average. I have never experienced a remission for more than three weeks-and very seldom that long. Some are much worse than others (there is never a good one), but they have been with me for just short of 50 years (I'm 72 yo). I have used most of the tricks memorialized here with various degrees of success as well as endured all of the misdiagnosis, misconceptions, inappropriate medications, horrible side effects, suspicions of malingering/exaggeration, procedures, experiments, studies, heartbreaks, and disappointments which unfortunately are also memorialized on these pages. I have been on the receiving end of unbelievable help and compassion from Drs. Kudrow, Diamond (RIP), Goadsby, Green, Cohen, Butler, and a host of others. I have also been subjected to the most egregious and reprehensible mistreatment imaginable at the hands of the most morally challenged as*holes masquerading as pseudo "medical professionals" that the VHA has to offer. Most importantly though, I am still alive and have had a satisfying life-quite different from what I was planning on Jan. 10, 1970 1LT USMC-but satisfying none the less. Since all of my medical care has been provided by military/VA, I actually have all of those years documented. Imitrex twice daily (approximately $500,000+) since it was approved saved my life, but ultimately caused two MIs on consecutive days. Silver lining: discovered asymptomatic CAD and got stents in time. Now its oxygen at 16 mL and opioids (Don't let anyone tell you that opioids don't have a legitimate place in the treatment CH-used properly they most certainly do!!! Moral of the story: We clusterheads are all different while at the same time we are are the same-special. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience which we are obviously quite willing to share, discuss, and even argue about. Wish you great success.
