  1. I've never felt more like a junkie before. Gave myself a shot in the bathroom stall at Comerica Park the other day. Dirty, loud, and obnoxious happening all around me ..... and there I am huddled in a ball on the toilet digging my trex kit out of my pocket.
  2. I sure wish we could corner that dude for awhile. He could be a huge benefit for the community if he put his mind to it.
  3. As an Ohio boy, I would love to see the Reds do well. All aboard the Choo Train!! Your Braves are hangin' tough. Still 2 games up on the Nat's. Speaking of the Nat's..... the Tigers will be in our nations capital to lay down the law in a 2 game series starting Tuesday. I dug these up just for you. From my 2 game trip to U.S. Cellular last May
  4. There is no stopping Detroit this year. I'm just putting it out there.
  5. WHO?? I'm sorry, does Atlanta have a baseball team? :-? I won't gloat too much because one game doesn't make a series ..... but WOW.... Let's break down my night at the park The hitting display tonight was biblical. I heard the crack of the bat more tonight than I have in a LOOONG time. Offense galore in the "D" on this April evening. Did we have 15 hits tonight?? That 10-0 final score honestly felt like it was 50-0. The first big game of Tui's career. 5 rbi's and a bomb homer ... that's "raking" right there. The first domination by Rondone .... he hit 101mph on the stadium scoreboard. (that pre-game stern sermon must have worked. I was spewing some hellfire and brimstone type material at the bullpen) Oh yeah ..... Anibal with 17 k's??? They say that's the most strikeouts by a Detroit Tigers starter in a 9 inning game ..... ever. Like ever..... 110 years. In hindsight ...... I say Skip sends the kid back out for the 9th and give him a shot at the modern record of 20 ..... he earned it. That boy worked like an abused ox tonight. This wasn't the Marlins lineup .... this was the friggin' Braves. Upton, Uggla, Gattis .... Seventeen strikeouts? Did that really just happen?? All fun aside ....... it's nights like this that make life incredible.
  6. I am on the other end of the stick. I'm chronic and get some relief from mushrooms, but not the long term success some other folks have had. I have 2-3 pain free days after dosing, but then the beast comes back. So I have put myself on a schedule where I dose every weekend. I haven't given up though ...... hopefully one of these bust attempts will be the one that does the trick for me!!
  7. Oh yes. Comerica is so beautiful. Like you, the majority of my memories are from "the corner" ... but I do have quite a few from the new park. I was a partial season ticket holder for the past 3 years, but I had to let it go this year. I still plan to make at least 20 games this year though. My dad used to take my brother and I to games many times a year as kids (the 80's), but since we have grown he hasn't made it to a single game. 3 years ago I took him to Comerica for his first visit. July 4th, against the much hated Indians, military flyover, veteran recognition during the game (dad is a vet), I spent 2 hours before the game walking him around the stadium, the Tigers won ........ it was the perfect day, and a perfect "thank you" to him for taking me to all those games as a kid. I was there for the entire playoff run last year ... and I was there for game 4 of the series too. freezing cold, raining, and the Giants danced on our mound ...... bad bad day .... you can hear my thoughts at about the 38 second mark in this video
  8. I guess it really just depends on what you are looking for out of your doctor. If you have any doubts, and want to be seen by an actual "Cluster Doctor" head up north to the Cleveland and see Dr. Stewart Tepper in the headache and facial pain facility at the Cleveland Clinic. http://my.clevelandclinic.org/staff_directory/staff_display.aspx?doctorid=8820 He writes books, publishes articles, is the editor of a couple magazines, and gives seminars on cluster headaches. He is on board with anything/everything you need. I know it's about a 3 hour drive for you .... but it's well worth it.  He is about 2.5 hours from me, but I would drive to China to see him if I had to.
  9. Well, the pen sure blew it today. No doubt about it. I'll be at the game tomorrow. If I have time I'll pull Coke and Rondon off to the side and give them a stern talking to BRING ON THE BRAVES!!
  10. Well, Papa Grande got the job done. For his sake, I am glad. It would have been murder if he blew his first save opportunity. I sure hope you are right about the extra short leash. I like Smyly. That poor kid. We have stuck him into some of the ugliest spots this year and he has come through in FINE FASHION every time. "here kid, we are down by 10 runs, you take the ball". I have a feeling we will pick up another arm just before the All-Star break. Illitch is going all out. It's nice to see the bottom of the order picking up a little lately. Infante is on fire. Too bad some of that won't rub off onto Dirks. If he doesn't pick it up soon, I am all for bringing Quintin Berry back up to the big club. I live about 40 minutes from Toledo and get the Mud Hens games on the t.v. every now and then. He's been looking pretty good. Gonna be an interesting season.
  11. [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif] Heck yeah!! I literally LIVE for Tigers baseball. Not too keen on Valverde making his return to the team tonight ...... but we will see. We (the fans) successfully booed Brandan Inge off the team 2 years ago .... if Papa Grande doesn't have his poop in a group he will be the next one on our hit list
  12. b.g.

    Hello

Welcome!! I (we) feel your pain .... believe that. Sorry, but glad you are here. CHfather hit everything perfectly as usual. Go for the energy drinks. One thing I can STRONGLY reiterate is GET THE OXYGEN. Call around. It will save you a ton of pain. Nice to meet you, and best regards, steve
  13. Hey another Ohioan!! Where abouts are you Joe?
  14. It's time for a complete head transplant. My old one is broken, and the maintenance fees are killing me. I'm thinking this would be the perfect time to upgrade as well. Hey, if I am going through the hassles of a new body part, I might as well take all the perks I can get right? Here's what I am looking for in a new head: I would like blonde hair and blue eyes. My old head has these features and I grew very accustomed to it. I would prefer my new head to have an extremely sexy bone structure. Chiseled jaw bones, solid cheeks, sparkly white teeth, and a smile that will make ladies weak in the knees. I'm not too picky about the size, so anything right around average will be just fine. If you have a head that fits all my 7 1/4" fitted baseball hats, that would be a tremendous bonus for me. I do need to be a little picky about the color (for aesthetic purposes/color matching I would prefer a caucasian head). I'm also going to need a brain with some power to it. I am prepared to pay a little more for a 130+ IQ rating on the brain. I'm also looking for a disease free head. No cluster headaches, or dementia, or anything crazy like that. So if you, or anyone you know has an extra head that matches my description, please p.m. me with your asking price.
  15. Thank you so much for the responses everyone. Very helpful.
  16. Did you have any notice, or did it just switch with no warning? I am right handed, right footed, right side CH, horners with the small right pupil..... I am definitely more right side dominant all the way around. The left side of my entire body is the "sissy side". After 2+ years of chronic right side attacks, I have accustomed myself to it.
  17. Well, it's waaay early, but I am loving the way they have come out of the gate. CH permitting I will be there for at least 1 of the games next weekend, and hopefully 2 of them. I don't get to see the Braves play the Tigers too often
  18. Thank you very much for sharing. But unfortunately your experience leads me to believe that it could be switching on me If I switched to the left and went episodic that might make it bearable .... but if I stay chronic and go to a lefty??? Brings tears to my eyes. :'(
  19. HAHAAHAHAH. Somebody needs a bubble bath and a glass of wine
  20. The Braves are 12-2 and 4 games ahead of the Nats already. That's just insane.
  21. Thanks MG. Ugh. I have always been a righty ..... I literally tremble at the thought of having a left side attack.
  22. Hi Gail [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif] As with anything CH related, it's difficult to explain I guess. The symptoms continue today as well. This would make it nearly 4 straight days now. I am normally a "righty" .... but for the last few days the hair on the left side of my head hurts and everything is tight. Very vague I know, but thats about as good as I can explain it. It's only on the left side, and it feels like every one of my hairs is a needle stuck into my scalp. If the wind blows my hair, or I rub my hand through it, I can feel each individual "needle" moving back and forth in my head. And the entire left side of my face/head feels "tight".... like my skin is slowly being shrink wrapped around that side. It's something that I have only experienced on the right side before (usually in the aftermath of an attack) and I was just wondering if that could be a warning that things might be switching sides?
  23. I have a feeling Dan Knows of a liquor store we can raid for supplies Me and you jeebs. 2am. Ninja style. Black hoodies and ski masks ...... dragging our o2 tanks behind us. No way the security cameras could ever identify us
  24. Hotter than a fox in a forest fire! But ..... they roll into Detroit for 3 games starting next Friday. We just stopped the A's 9 game win streak by pounding the poop out of them 2 nights in a row, and the fire hoses are being rolled out right now to water down the Braves as well
