  1. I think you lied to me Ron >:(

I feel so used by you. I would never have returned the flirting and dirty talk if I knew how old you were.

You are 12 years older than me, hell you could be my dad!

Happy birthday old man. You're the best.

You and I have talked about the movie Deliverence ;D

In that movie they sink Drew after he got killed. What I remember about that is they said " he was the best one of us"

that's how I feel about you.

  2. Hey agent. I may have regrets about my post.

    Let me rephrase it.

If you can get a year pain free by taking verapimil...I would take it. It got me through some really tough times. Who knows what may happen in a year. I didn't really have noticeable side effects for a while. I did get totally pain free from lithium and verapimil.

In the end it didn't work out for me...but for a long time it was a life saver.

I know your story and I feel for you. Take the verapamil and perhaps lithium too since they are prescribed together most of the time....I think?

    Haha

    Hellifiknow.

You gotta do what you gotta do. It may be just the break your body/brain need...short term anyway.

  3. Damn good points Bob. That may save a lot of time.

That small factoid rules out all kinds of what, at times, I thought were possible causes.

bTW...does everyone sleep on the their headache side or is it Just me and just a coincidence?

    Dan

When was this disease/affliction first documented. Seems like I remember the late 1800's.

  4. It took my attacks away for well over a year, together with lithium. Mine was Verapimil SA. 180 mg twice daily. A blue caplet.

In the end the attacks broke through after varying doses several times. constantly had to get blood work done because it caused thyroid problems. I had to take Mirilax laxative nightly and still couldn't go potty but once a week at best. Whew! talk about shit a brick!

My Pulse was mid 40s. BP 90's over 60's. Trembling...shakes,  ED which sucked big time. Nausea every morning to the point of vomiting.  I couldn't even stand in the shower long enough to take a proper shower. I would have to get out of the shower and sit down to dry myself. The shit about killed me. I could barely get out of bed toward the end. All I wanted to do was die.

My Neuro finally took me off of it and recommended a ONS trial which I did and wished I wouldn't have...another $30k down the drain

I tapered off, and didn't really realize how near death I was, and how bad I felt till that poison was out of my system.

Never again. No way, no how.

  5. Hello Dave,

At least you are trying! We have all wondered the same, I'm sure.

There has to be a cause and effect issue here but no one thus far has been able to figure it out.

I did the bicycle and mosquito truck scenario. I have wondered about my store. My attacks began just about the time we demolished (gutted) our store. Black mold was and continues to be an issue.

Hell if I know, but I'm convinced there is a logical reason I have this shit.

I will wonder forever I suppose.

  6. Very nicely said Ting.

I think we all are better off than we realize. That is to say we have all had tough times which makes the little things most people take for granted enjoyable indeed.

    Thanks for the pep talk.

YOU are good medicine for all of us.

I really look forward to seeing you in Chicago. we all do :)

  7. Hey Dave,

No idea how my hypothalamus got deranged. The rest of me is perfect 8-)

Glad to have you on the board and I was glad to get your call yesterday. I hope things get better for you soon, as I'm confident they will.

    Dan(Lee Ann's slightly deranged husband) ;)

Ps I did have a teacher once refer to me as being deranged. :o.  Wait a minute...he called me exasperating, not deranged. I am ranged except for that one little tiny body part ;D

  8. Yea, I think my buddy Bejeebers is 30 plus years in. Unbelievable.

There are folks with decades of experience here. Maybe a thousand years collectively. Wow, I have never thought of that before.

No doctor can touch what this board has to offer. No disrespect to those doctors who "get it".  BostonHeadache doc and Dr J in particular. :)

  9. There is some anecdotal evidence that this stuff does indeed run in families. Thats the reason our leader Bob started his mission from my understanding.

I hope and pray my kids don't get it, but if they do they will be much more educated about it.

    Knowledge is power.

I'm glad you apparently have a good supporter in your husband. My wife saved my life...literally, by finding this place and the angels that work and play here ;)

    Best wishes

    Dan

  10. What a good Dad you are CHF.

I've probably said it before, but if either my daughter or I had to have this affliction, I'm glad it's me rather than her.

I can only imagine the helplessness you must have felt before you hit pay dirt.

I'm glad to call you a friend.

  11. Hi Solace,

I may have overlooked it but...are your headaches (I prefer to call them head attacks) on one side, and one side only? Mine are on my right side...that is the most distinguishing classic cluster syndrome.

If the answer is yes....sorry, but you ARE one of us :(

You have found the web site that saved my life and took my sweet wife | supporter a long time to find. You are in good company here....nothin but love ;)

    Dan

  12. Looking for Ass...got my attention ;D

Hello and welcome to the group.....and as the saying goes, sorry you had the need to find us.

No one here is really known for beating around the bush so I won't try to start a new trend.

Answer to question #1 is: Sure sounds like stereotypical cluster headache symptoms.

Free advice and I hope you get yur money's worth ;)

You need to get a proper oxygen setup ASAP. If you have to just go to a welding supply store and fake it till your doctors prescribe it. Get a high flow regulator and an Optimask.

Secondly, if these things continue as they probably will, I would highly recommend find some magic mushrooms and dose with them as recommended. I called BS on mushrooms for years and years as doctors, neurologists, neurosurgeons told me that "they" could do one more surgery...or one more medication therapy. :-[ :'( :P :P :P

The only thing that has fixed me is oxygen as an abortive and mushrooms as a preventative. The combination has truly saved my life. I was chronic for seven years and now live "virtually" pain free.

I will be glad to help you any way I can, as we all will.

    Dan

  13. Hell yes!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

Congrats on the success. It may last forever......probably not >:(

One never knows how long it may last. We are all curious so keep us up to date please.

Your post will inspire someone on the fence to take a leap.

I am very happy for you.

    Dan

PS.  Just Pop it again when (if ;)) they come back with intensity or frequency.  Not for at least 5 days. Retrain the brain 8-)

  14. I love Lee Ann so much I'd nibble on her footshrooms 8-)

Rons, uh...probably big manly toes. I still might but I'd have to see them first. I'm out if they are hairy toeshrooms.

  15. i watched a pretty cool documentary last night on Modern Marvels. It was titled Mold and Fungus. It showed amazing cultivation techniques that got me thinking...

Did you know that athletes foot fungus if left untreated will result in small mushrooms sprouting from between the toes?  ;D

Just kidding about that part, but it was very enlightening if you can catch a re-run.
