I was prescribed topamax my doctor and I have mixed feelings. I don't want to take any form of anti depression meds. Anybody have any experience with this? Episodic cluster headaches.

My healthcare provider is giving me a hard time about my sumatripton prescription. I was wondering if it is possible to become dependant or abuse this type of medication? Does is cause more headaches to occur? Does it make episodic clusters last longer (longer cycles)? I know this medication helps me short term, but is it making it worse in the long term?

Mark, I suggest you start the Vitamin D3 anti inflammatory regiment. It helped me a lot. It's all Vitamins that are good for the body any reduced my pain after 1 week.

I reached out to this website a week ago. I was experiencing the most painful cluster period I've had in six years. 9/10 pain once a day, sometimes twice a day. Praying for death. Everyone here knows that this is a bad way to live.
Mr Batch contacted me about the D3 anti-inflamitory regiment that he developed. It is working!!! The pain started decreasing. The frequency of headaches started decreasing. I got my first night of rest last night. I feel rested, stronger, and have more clarity than I've had in a long time.
If you have cluster headaches, please reach out to this group.

I have not had a cluster in two weeks!!! The D3 regiment started to take effect after about 7 days. The headaches started to reduce in pain and frequency. They became more manageable at that point. This vitamin regiment makes me feel better in more ways than one. I was prescribed prednisone during week 3. I feel like the prednisone helped expedite the process, but the Vitamin reg already had already helped so much so it's hard to say if prednisone was nessicary.
