  1. There are some seeds (not sure about RC) that can be stored for 5-6 years but they are organic material and will break down over time naturally. The most important factors to consider are light, moisture and temperature. I store my garden seeds in zip locks with a paper towel inside the zip lock and then inside a mason jar in the garage fridge.

  2. Hey @lp3 I just wanted to take a moment and reply to this post because I can feel your anger, disappointment and devastation through your words. To start I want to say that no your life is not a joke nor is mine or any other cluster head's. @mit12 was correct in saying that  a cure is non-existent and that buying time to live life as we used to is possible!  I really get where your coming from with not wanting to hear another bleep about a janky hypo or D3 or busting etc.. In the past I believed that this affliction was a punishment of sorts for some bad thing (I've done many a bad thing)  in my past. Truthfully that's like saying a baby diagnosed with leukemia is being dished penance. For what?? I'm so sorry that you have not found "clear brain" as of yet and that your torment is so awful. My life has changed so much since this diagnosis that at times I'm not sure who or what I've become.  My strength is perseverance! Try, Try and Try again! Don't give up my friend! Never give up! Yes it's hard and if you believe God chose you to walk the hollows of horrer then be proud because God chooses only THE BEST!

  3. I believe Spiny mentioned caffeine tablets and 5 hour energy shots. Sounds to me like your really prepared with the pre dosing with M prior! Please share how it goes as it's a huge fear of mine as well and I haven't been on a plane since diagnosed. Good luck!

He was pretty refreshing to watch. That bit about thinking he had an aneurysm and or that he was dying made me smile because I remember all the thoughts I had when all the fun started..

  5. Yep.. what everyone else said. Traveled from Sacramento, elevation of 30 to my vacation house in Truckee elevation 5,880 with part of the drive up reaching an elevation of around 7,800. My heads exploded a few times but never my tanks:D

correlation between having a sinus infection and the onset of the cluster?

Not sure if there is a correlation with the "onset".. Seems to me that you get it or you don't... (genetics unfortunately do play a roll) , unfortunate event either way indeed. During the effort to control the bunny.. YES there is what I believe to be  a correlation. If your system gets drowned/depleted due to any infection/virus it is my personal belief that the door gets opened due to depletion of of the immune system and inability to respond properly. I say this because I was diagnosed with a chronic sinusitis nearly 12 years prior to the onset of CH. I have had several attacks after being sick and after sever bouts of allergies that have opened the stage for the cluster bunny to preform. The meds you mention putting a damper on the pain are not indicative of CH. I'm not saying you do not have it...

Right now Advil Dual or Acetaminophen helps the most but of course I have to take them about every 5 hours

The above is pixy dust to a Cluster Head.. Does noda .. Absolutely will not touch anything but shadows "if your lucky"  To me.. this sounds like "migraine with aura" dreadful for sure and I've been wrong many, many times ! I pray you do not have CH and that a decent Dr. can sort this mess out for you!

  7. That was a very nice post to read. I wasn't around in 2019 as I was still in the mess of figuring out what was wrong with me so I dont really know you'r story but I can imagine. I am also terrified to fly and have read all the threads on it as well, but I don't recall seeing anything new in the way of tips, tricks etc. It sure would be nice to hear back from you with how the flight went for you (hopefully seamless) and if I missed any new info on altitude success etc. I would love for our CH community to post here on it.

How many minutes do you usually get out of one tank?

    Hi Bailey,

I suppose it depends on the size of tank you get. The smaller ones usually give me a few hours if I'm being conservative (usually not the case if I'm on the O2).. I'm glad the concentrator works for you but I cant help but wonder if the concentrator works how much quicker you could abort with pure O2?

I got an oxygen concentrator 10lmp and it kept tripping my breaker when turning it off so I asked the provider to replace it.  The one they replaced it with sounds very loud and is rattling the plastic casing.  Any recommendations on a good 10lpm concentrator?  I may ask my insurance to find me another o2 provider.

Ditch the concentrator if a cluster head.  They mix normal air with the pure o2 that you need to effectively abort.

Heck yes, we are interested.  First, because if you have CH, we want to help you prevent and manage it so it has the least possible impact on your life -- in ways, including busting, that virtually no doctor will tell you about (as jon' suggests in his post).  And second because a large portion of what we know here we know from the people who come here.  CH is tricky and constantly changing, and probably never the same in all aspects from one person to the next.  It's all "citizen science" to really come closer to understanding what happens, why/when it happens, and what works to prevent it and manage it. One reason you're not getting many direct answers to your questions about first attacks and subsequent ones is that it varies from person to person. Some people have CH, boom just like that. For others there are "light" episodes or just single attacks.  And sometimes that's all there is, and sometimes a full cycle might come on pretty soon or it could be years before another one.  I don't blame you for worrying and wanting more clarity, but I feel pretty sure there is no direct answer to your questions about what might be next (if anything).

We are even interested if you have no further attacks, so do let us know.  We'd be happy for you, and it would be another data point for us.

If you want to be proactive just in case, you could take a look at the D3 regimen (in the ClusterBuster Files section).  It's probably good for you no matter what, and even if you start it at a lower level, you'll be building up your system with a very effective preventive.

Wow @CHfather this response of yours was wonderful!

I imagine having this group is very therapeutic for you all. It already is for me

If it makes any diffrence... I will say that I'm in constant amazement of the people on here. They are beyond kind and definitely the strongest people I've ever encountered in my entire life! I had no idea that there were others like me, others that could understand and respond from the same perspective and understanding of the level of pain. When I found this place and interacted with them I found a new sense of hope! I felt so alone as I've never met a fellow cluster head. I've chosen to stay because if I can help anyone in the way this site has helped me I owe at least that much..

  12. Hey Nick,

Looks like you have received some great responses (enough to help with your Dr. Appointment and options to prevent and abort). As for being scared, it's natural to fear pain. I think we have all been there. I know I have and something that helps me is to remember 1. I am not going to die and 2. It will stop. Lastly the more you read on here and adopt methods of self help the better things will get for you..  stay strong!
