Sorry I guess my attempt at humor missed, here on the east coast you cannot throwa rock without hitting an Ikea, so the tought of listing it as one of many great reasons to go the conference struck me as funny.

Ageed David!  But Fun Guy almost had me with Reason #2.  ;D

If you could just get the state of Oregon to sponsor Vortex 2, I'd quite my job to be there. I've been waiting years for this event and it still hasn't happened. For those not familiar with Vortex 1 here ya go. Was there and had a great time. Also lived in Oregon at the time.

Also worth mentioning is that Portland is the beer capital of the world. I lived in Eugene for 28 years, in fact, just got back from there yesterday

I know a lot of you are triggered by alcohol, but for those of you who aren't, you will be in beer heaven. I am a huge beer snob (and nationally recognized beer judge) so Oregon is the place to be in my opinion
