Oregon Approves Medical Use For Mushrooms

WOW.  I never thought I'd see this in my lifetime.  It's one step closer for those of us with CH being able to get medicines from a doctor that actually help stop our CH..  It looks like there's a lot of bureaucracy wrapped around how they'll manage it, but I'm sure it'll get easier once the magic spreads (ha ha, just made that one up). :)

Love all,

From what I've read, it will be two years before this will begin, but you will not have to be from Oregon and you will not have to even have a medical condition. You will not be able to purchase psilocybin, only receive treatment/therapy by a licensed practitioner. You will have to be pre-screened for the therapy and then be administered the psilocybin by that practitioner. You must remain in their care until the drug is out of your system.

This should be a boost to the Oregon tourism industry as Clusterheads travel year-round for busting "trips"!

We need to find practitioners who understand cluster and will give Clusterheads package deals for multiple dosings.

You know, I’m really, REALLY fed up with this whole “war on drugs” rubbish!

A couple years ago, the UK legalised cannabis for medical use. This meant any doctor who wanted to prescribe it had get up to speed with its use, and only expensive, private consultants did that. You can’t get it on the NHS like you can any other medicine.

Someone recently came up with an ID Card (called a CanCard) that says you have a medical condition that you’re treating with cannabis, and the police have agreed to not arrest you or take your medicine if you have the CanCard and are caught with cannabis on you. A step forward, but the government should have done that long ago, and not left it up to someone suffering with MS and was in desperate need of cannabis.

But it’s crazy that they make it so difficult to get effective meds but happily hand out very addictive and harmful meds like they were M&Ms.

Rant mode off.

Any1 give me some advice on magic mush please ie dosage

The standard clusterbusters protocol is 1 to 1.5g (cracker dry) every 5 days for a minimum of 3 doses.  This applies to psilocybe cubensis....I see you're based in the UK where psilocybe Semilanceata aka liberty caps are common place....they are a much stronger variety and although I'm unsure how much stronger I do know the dose would need to be lower.

And other States are decriminalising it too, aren't they?

Good news for sure.

Yep, Shrooms should make a wave across America like weed did. Here in Michigan we have a city that just decriminalized all natural Psychedelics.

https://www.metrotimes.com/news-hits/archives/2021/08/19/ann-arbor-declares-september-psychedelics-awareness-month-and-were-tripping

"Ann Arbor is one of six cities across the U.S. to decriminalize possession and cultivation of naturally occurring psychedelics. However, Oregon is the only state to decriminalize and legalize ;psilocybin for therapeutic use."

Sharing dosing experience with magic mushrooms.  I found that taking 1/10 of a gram every 5 days seems to work and have been CH free for 8 months (have some of the twinges, and tension but not a CH episode).  MM's have varying levels of potency so each batch has to be tested through trial and error (which is sort of fun!).  Also, individuals react differently too.  Have found that I am very sensitive to MM's.  My regimen is to take the amount that does not cause any of the psychedelic effects, aka micro dose.

Success could also be due to getting vitamin D levels to normal as well, which was accomplished about 8 months ago as well.

Hello-   Excuse my ignorance on this topic of Mushrooms.  There is so much information on this topic in the benefits it provides for Cluster headaches. but how to go about finding medicinal mushroom is difficult ..particularly in a State where it isn't legal.  Growing it personally isn't an option.  Not sure where to begin.  Husband and daughter have Episodic  Clusters.   Any advice on Medicinal Mushrooms would be appreciated.   We are shooting in the dark.

You don't have to use mushrooms.  Rivea corymbosa seeds, which are highly effective (generally just as effective as shrooms), can be legally purchased and possessed in most US states.  They are very very easily "processed" into the useful substance.  It is unlawful to consume that substance.

I see you have made more than a few posts here, so maybe you have already discussed what your family members are doing for their CH -- oxygen, D3, etc.  If not, let's talk about that, too.

Yes....my husband does high flow Oxygen, Vitamin D and Emgality.    Has had CH for several years.  Can you recommend a resource (supplier)for Rivea Corymbosa seeds?

Hello everyone!! I am new here and desperately trying to find out more about MM for my wife. She has been prescribed everything under the sun for her migraines ( I believe they could be CHs )She has also used Botox and we even threw away $17,000 on "nerve decompression surgery". Can anyone tell me the best MM for her? I realize everyone is different and have read all these posts. Thank You in advance for any help.

Hi Dquad - although I've busted several times with MM, I'm no expert on mushroom strains like resident mycologist @Dallas Denny above, but I'll shoot my mouth off anyway, and am prepared for someone with more solid knowledge to come along and offer any corrections.

My impression is that all the mushrooms we would consider busting with have the same active, therapeutic for us ingredient, psilocybin, just in varying strengths, so it's not as much which strain of mushroom is best that is the question, but how much psilocybin each contains. If you can get the psilocybe cubensis Dallas Denny mentioned, you'll know it fits within the common 1g to 1.5g (dry) dosage range.
