  1. New to this forum and disappointed that the thread is so short. I'm having a heluva time finding an O2 (cylinder) supplier on my insurance plan (Harvard-Pilgram). During my last cycle, I used Cape Medical Supply in Canton. They supplied me with two small tanks, an oxygen concentrator, and a special compressor that filled the tanks from the concentrator. Filling an empty tank took four hours, about a megawatt-hour of electricity, and generated about a million BTUs of heat and 1000 Db of noise, but it worked. The concentrator couldn't provide the needed flow rate directly, but by using it to fill tanks, it kind of worked. I almost never have more than 3 attacks per day, so I was able to keep up. I'm at the start of a new cycle now and looking for someone to provide large TANKS, which would be so much easier, but I'm having the hardest time! Sadly, Reliable Respiratory no longer supplies oxygen for cluster headaches. Several other provides I found do not provide oxygen for adults. I cannot fathom these limitations. A cylinder of O2 is a cylinder of O2! Why would you limit your cliental? To make things worse, typing "medical oxygen tank supplier" into Google gives you mostly hits for NON-TANK suppliers (cpap, O2 concentrators, etc.), so, bleh. As for Doctors, there's a headache neurology practice located at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain where I've gotten excellent care. They really seem to be on top of cluster-headache research. The main guy there even goes to ClusterBuster conferences. They prescribed me Sumatriptan autoinjectors and told me to stock up on them between cycles, since I can get only 6 per month. They've been great -- aborting headaches in 5 minutes or less. Much more toxic than oxygen, but much faster, more portable and, from what I can see, more available, too!
