I swear i can tell what nights I'm gonna get a cluster headache . Just before i fall asleep i start getting a aching feeling behind my left eye. On those nights it's a sure thing so last night when that happened i hit the 02 and it was still there so i took a 100mg oral imitrex and slept through the night.(5 hours) Kinda just wondering if anyone else has a warning? From what i read most say it comes on sudden and leaves the same way. I have had some without any warning but lately i feel like I'm recognizing the way my body sets up before the hit. I know imitrex isn't a preventative but i feel like it stops it before it builds. I save the injections for the full blown hits. also i usually don't get hit until 3a.m which would mean i'm getting a long warning.

Psa is low but normal and testosterone looks perfect. I meet with him Thursday but I may be out of this. We will see what he says.

Thanks for that reply i really wanted to ask that question. But certainly didn't want to pry into anything personal. I will find out Thursday what my levels are and whether i will be in this study. I am so excited to have met a good doctor and found this site. I am truly starting to feel like I am not going to hopelessly suffer with this forever. It doesn't hurt that with the prednisone i have had 4 days without any pain so i feel like i'm getting my sanity back. Sucks we all had to meet up here but i'm glad to have found good people willing to help

Getting the bloodwork done today to see if i qualify. Hopefully this works.

It was a blessing to talk to someone who understands and doesn't just want to throw narcotics at a chronic issue. I have had doctors look at me and say yes i get headaches sometimes also here is a narcotic just take them when it feels like your having a bad one. Then when you try to explain I'm having a bad one once or twice a night they look at you like your crazy. He shook my hand and told me i will help and we will make this better. Not to mention he spent probably an hour with me on my first visit. The last doctor said maybe your just a bit stressed and then i tried to explain my first hit came while i was camping on a lake with my healthy wife and kids without a care in the world.

Just wanted to let everyone know there is neuro who truly knows what we are going through. He has an office in psl florida and another in ft lauderdale and west palm beach. His name is doctor francis conidi. I could not believe how much research he has done on this bastard of a condition. He told me his friend suffered when he was younger and he has spent alot of time working on treating this condition. I have been through 3 others and was in shock when i started talking with him.
