  1. I'm in the Raleigh/Durham area in NC! Hi neighbor(s)!
  2. So sorry you are going through all of this snowflake! Sending love your way!
  3. I have an 80cu tank which lasts me about a week, but I try to conserve it as much as possible so I don't use it for shadows. So about 1 time per day. Sometimes more since I end up needing to use it longer than necessary because I waited so long to use it... want to make sure I "need" it, which isnt smart lol. Definitely not a good feeling to be "rationing" a treatment but it's hard to get to the store for a refill, for me at least. My wife will sometimes go for me which is nice.
  4. Glad to hear it!! I hope the demand valve wasn't too expensive.
  5. Following up on this.... I am still using the oxy nasal spray. Not sure if it helps in any capacity at this point, but it is part of my "emotional support CH response kit" that I have been bringing with me. I know I am getting to the end of my cycle as its not reacting to the usual tools. But I am still using them all just in case!
  6. So sorry to hear you had a rough night!! I hope things start to get better for you. Regardless, hoping you can at least enjoy the coffee
  7. Similar to Dallas Denny, I too would pay to replace mine in a heartbeat! I am about to order a second for a portable tank. I've only used it once so far, but let me tell you.... It is SO much better than a standard non-rebreather mask!!! I was hesitant at first too because I just bought an expensive O2 tank, regulators, etc and didn't want another cost but it is so worth it in my opinion.
  8. When I am in a cycle, caffeine at unusual times will trigger a shadow for me. Like if I drink a soda at 10am rather than at lunch, I will definitely feel it. Same with an evening caffeinated beverage. I usually avoid caffeine out of cycle too since it keeps me awake at night. On the other hand... I am definitely team caffeine to abort! 5 Hour Energy is my go to since it's easy to drink. There is the added benefit of taurine but I'm not sure what role that plays in aborting the hit, I just remembered reading that it's helpful lol. Even at 4am or 8pm, I am able to fall asleep no problem after drinking a 5 Hour Energy and aborting the hit. Sometimes I've even had a 5 hour energy at 8pm and another at 4am and still slept fine once the pain ended. I don't understand it! Best of luck!
  9. I switched insurance last November (got married and joined my wife's plan!) and have had an awful time getting scheduled to see any type of doctor. I have some expired sumatriptan but historically the sumatriptan has given me a very bad reaction so I'm avoiding it as much as possible. Hoping to get some non-medical oxygen this weekend! Fingers crossed! And I finally have a doctor's appointment scheduled for early April. Hoping I can bust the cycle by then though!
  10. And another update! I've had three more hits and tried the oxymetazoline nasal spray with other abortive techniques (caffeine, 5 hour energy, chugging ice water, ice pack on head, ginger, etc) and have not had much success. The hit is shorter than normal (2.5ish hours) but not less painful. Bummed, but I'll keep trying it in case it works again, lol.
  11. Hello! I am back in a cluster cycle after 3 years remission (longest yet!). I noticed shoulder tightening about a month and a half ago followed by a knot in my neck about 2 weeks later. 2 weeks after that and I had my first hit of this cycle. The knot will be extra painful right before and during an attack. It's helpful in warning me but not helpful in that it's extra pain and I am worried that "aggravating" it may trigger an attack! Does anyone have any thoughts on the cluster knot and if addressing it will help abort the hit or lessen the cycle? I don't remember having a knot like this in my other cycles... I should start documenting the headaches so I can reference past experiences! Thanks in advance!
  12. Andddd a quick update- the headache is gone! About 45 minutes after I took the oxymetazoline nasal spray (also took one Benadryl and laid on an ice pack). I'll still try it again next time, earlier in the hit, and without the Benadryl and will report back but feeling hopeful! I think this cycle is allergy-related as I've had to miss 3 months of allergy shots due to switching insurance and needing to find a new provider. Allergy symptoms have been much worse. I noticed shadows as my sinuses got stuffier and stuffier. So I guess it makes sense that the nasal spray would help?
  13. I am trying this as I type this! I have episodic cluster headaches, and they have recently started up again. I got a generic oxymetazoline nasal spray from Amazon. I think I administered it too late to abort ot- the attack hit almost an hour prior. The hit is much more manageable, though, I'd say a 4/10! I'm able to surf the web and read a book which is rare for me during a hit. I'll keep the spray on hand and try it when I first sense the shadow next time, which should be on Saturday. Additional context: I have busted twice this cycle and have been loading with the d3 regimen for the past 7 days.
  14. Hi- I started the complete D3 regimen as outlined by Batch about 6 days ago. I have had little change that I can attribute to the regimen. Any idea how long it takes to start making a noticeable difference? Do I need to increase dosage of some of the other components for a loading phase as well? Currently taking all as mentioned by Batch except vitamin k (I eat a lot of veggies containing vitamin k so figured I could forego that one), and 20,000ui daily of D3.
