Let me introduce myself

Hello everybody, my name is Pietro and I'm originally from Italy, moved to the US back in 2008.

2019 is my 35th anniversary suffering from CH, it started when I was 15 back in Italy. I pretty much "let it happen" through the first part of my life until I was introduced to Imigran/Imitrex shots in 1994 while I was in the Army. Then I learned about verapamil and it has been working for me until a few years back, when the therapy could not break the cycle and I was experimenting very bad side effects like swollen limbs and constant chest pressure.

I've been in remission since April 2015, to the point that I was starting to hope... until another cycle hit me about two weeks ago and I've been miserable ever since. I started using partial shots of Imitrex until I realized they are not quite as effective anymore and my kidneys are bothering me (is there a relation, never happened before).

Yesterday I started my D3 regimen (which helped me last time around), I hope it will kick in quick.

I now want to try O2 but I don't know where to start or who to contact. I'm in Monrovia, CA - northeast of LA. Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance

You can start by trying to get an O2 prescription from a doctor and then having it filled by an oxygen supply company, or you can set up a system using welding oxygen.  If the first route is straightforward and affordable, it's probably the sensible way to go (if you have a competent doctor who will prescribe O2; and if you have insurance to pay for the doctor visit and the O2, or you can pay out of pocket for those things), but welding is simpler and ultimately no more expensive, particularly since you are probably going to pay for a higher-lpm regulator even if you get one from the medical O2 supplier. Welding O2 is discussed here: https://clusterbusters.org/forums/topic/5627-notes-about-welding-o2/   There's a lot about O2 here, plus some things aside from O2 that might help you until you get O2:  https://clusterbusters.org/forums/topic/6213-basic-non-busting-information/

I have to agree with BOF, I was just recently diagnosed CH after 9 yrs without anything that oxygen does work. I’ve been taking the Imitrex 100mg pills for last month almost 4-6 of them within 24hrs. I used the info given here above on CHfather’s post and can say after getting the rig figured out I aborted my 1st earlier today. The Redneck Reservoir was what I ended up getting best results until I can purchase a proper rig. Definitely worth it if your up to the task.
