  1. @Brain on fire can you share some links for demand valves? Does any valve hook onto any tank?
  2. @Brain on fireThanks for the great responses @CHfather. I really appreciate it. I’m sure I’ll be asking more questions when I get the 02 tank
  3. @Brain on fire I’m really trying. The days seem darker lately finding myself feeling very depressed and anxious. Almost waiting for a full blown attack to come and ruin my life. It’s also been hard trying to explain to my family the sevarity of the situation. When I told them I got an O2 script that got their attention. Okay more about o2. So what are the purpose of demand valves? Also, let’s say the doc prescribed a flow rate of 5 lpm...I can buy a regulator and hook it on, and this delivers a stronger flow (i.e. 15 or 25 lpm)? But won’t this make the tank run out faster?
  4. Thank you all so much for the responses. Okay so I have a question; you can buy a regulator that is 15 or 25 Lpn regardless of the flow rate the doctor prescribes? Kat
  5. Well my doctor prescribed an o2 tank yesterday and my insurance won’t cover it. My headaches have started to ramp up a bit, probably because it’s now fall. I’ve been in contact with Batch working out the kinks to the d3 regimen. I have read all the info about welding o2, but I don’t really have anyone to help me transport the tanks and stuff I’m feeling so depressed and discouraged at this point. It’s been 3 months of intense shaddow pain and it seems like it’s never going to go away. Everyone on this forum who has dealt with this for years is so strong
  6. I’m not sure if anyone finds this useful and it may have already been posted but this website allows you to order blood tests and find a local lab without a script. Anyone looking to start the d3 and needs bloodwork but does not have insurance should take advantage! Happy hump-day! kat
  7. @Brain on fire yes no attacks just 3 months of mild and intense shaddow pain. At the beginning it was every hour on the hour. The last few weeks it’s been maybe once or twice a day. Sometimes I even skip days. I’m attributing this to the vitamin d regimen
  8. Are mostly only experiencing shaddows an indicator that a cycle is ending?
  9. Are mostly only experiencing shaddows an indicator that a cycle is ending?
  10. @Brain on fire yep I stupidly had 3 sips from a beer and not an hour later felt like s*** behind my eye and my teeth. Def not out of the cycle yet.
  11. @Brain on fire my last cycle before this was almost 3 years prior ( I hadn’t been diagnosed at this time). I believe episodic...I’ve only had shaddows this entire cycle (some have been very strong). Not sure what that means
  12. Happy Sunday all as a cluster newbie, my cycles are not very defined quite yet. They are steadily over the summer months, and the last few days I can say that I’ve only had shaddow pains. I am attributing this to the vitamin d routine. Does anyone else try having a bit of alcohol to see if they’re cycle is ending? I have one day of shaddows and one day of no pain. Any thoughts? Thanks kat
  13. @CHMom thanks for the reply! I started the D3 regimen at the beginning of my cycle this time and I’m almost positive that’s the reason I haven’t had a full blown “attack”. Only what you would call shaddows. There is no other explanation for it in my opinion. I am really hoping this goes away soon for at least a few months so I can get my life back on track :/ PF wishes Kat
  14. Yes he is. @FunTimes I got blood work done but I haven’t gotten the results yet. Kat
  15. @Brain on fire that’s awesome! Mind if I ask how long you’ve been pain free? What started giving you results?
  16. I cut the melatonin in half last night to see if it makes a difference. I thought the headaches were getting better but it feels like it did when they first started out. Not sure if that means the cycle is coming to an end. I am very discouraged I had such high hopes for the d3 regimen. I’ve been on it for almost a month. I still may have one of the Hemicranias. It just sucks I have to wait until the 24th to see the doctor and get a prescription
  17. hello all the last two nights I’ve been taking melatonin to help me sleep through the night. I’ve been having terrible anxiety. It’s been causing nausea and vomiting. Almost like I’m anticipating an attack. I read that melatonin can sometimes be effective in stopping nocturnal clusters. The reason I’m asking is because the last two nights I’ve taken it, about 30 minutes into it I feel like I’m having a mini attack, it lasts only about 2 minutes. Should I stop taking it? I don’t see my doctor again until the 24th. I’m going to see if I can get a script for indomethacin to rule out other TAC. Kat
  18. Hey there! i am new to CH as well and to cluster busters. I’ve found that the people on this forum are super helpful and comforting to newbies like us. Unfortunately, the insurance situation in this country is atrocious. There really isn’t anything you can do about it. Even if the doctor, who has experience and went to school prescribed something they can deny it if they want. I’m sure some of the more experienced members will be chiming in soon regarding their oxygen set ups etc. I’ve been relying solely on the vitamin d regimen. There is a lot of informative information on that thread regarding vitamin d and reduction in clusters. If you go to the first page of general board there is a vitamin d thread. I’d purchase the vitamins as soon as possible and get started. Best of luck kat
  19. Wow thank you all for the informative responses. I’m really hoping I don’t have a hard time getting a prescription for it. Looking into busting for next cycle as well. Kat
  20. Yes that would explain why I was diagnosed with migraines for 5 years prior. I did not have one single migraine symptom. And to make matters worse, I was on topamax for 3 years! That drug ruined me while I was on it. I felt like absolute crap. I could barely balance, I was losing the ability to think quickly, it was terrible. I am positively looking forward to O2. I’m sure ch gets manageable once you have all the appropriate tools at your disposal. I went almost 3 years before the headaches started again. Thus far I am only doing the d3 regimen. My ch are very mild this particular cycle. My doctor says they get worse with age typically, or I might just have “atypical ch” and they will stay this strange the rest of my life. There is no telling. Kat
  21. I came across it while I was reading about melatonin and cluster headaches. It was on my computer I’m on my phone at the moment. Will try and send it tomorrow.
  22. I recently read an article that says only about 60% of women with cluster headaches respond to oxygen therapy. I was just curious to hear from some of the women in the forum and how well you respond to O2. I’m going to try and get a script for O2 next time I see the doc. Sept 6 marks 8 weeks from this cycle :/ kat
  23. I’ve been experiencing shadow type headaches for like 2 weeks now. Not sure if it’s breaking up or if the vitamin D is doing it’s thing. There was a hurricane here as well a few days ago so the weather has been acting strange. Probably why I felt pain yesterday. It sucks that the drink caused it to fight back but the beer test is typically a good way to see if it’s gone :/ hopefully it goes away soon! Kat
  24. The D3-50 water soluble only require one a week per Batch. So definitely a bigger bang for your buck. I know they work faster and require less refilling.
