  1. I feel what may be shadows (hopefully not)
Hopefully not, agreed.  But we've seen so many people put off busting and then regret that they didn't hit it early.  My suggestion -- Take a good-sized bunch of the ones you have now, while you're waiting for the fresh ones you order today to arrive.  Worst that can happen is that the old ones have no effect; best is that you get a head start, just in case. Or, if they weren't shadows, maybe you get in a good preventive bust.

  2. I cleared my cache, and am still getting the SSL Error message, even when I type in "clusterbusters.org".

My ISP is North Georgia Network Cooperative, Inc.  My browser of choice is Chrome, but I'm unable to access the website with IE and FireFox.

John, let me know if you need any other info.

  3. I moved Jim K's post along with Jeebs answer to a new topic on the board, "Share your busting stories".  It can be found under the new topic, "Chronic - nothing working"

  4. It was Jacob that inspired me to join the National Bone Marrow Registry about 5 yrs ago.  I have followed his battle ever since.

Very sad.  My love and prayers go out to the entire family.

  5. If a user like me simply adjusts the regulator so that the bag never overflows, the O2consumption is identical to a demand valve.

Yea thanks captain obvious, gee why didnt I think of that?

I have two collapsed hip joints and can barely walk... ill just stand by my tank for an hour at a time. thanks for your help!

    Totally uncalled for!

    Play nice guys.

  6. I encourage people to remember that we've had a handful of people try this who seemed to get help.  But that's it.  There has been no large groups of people who have tried it and the only person that I have heard of that has taken it for any length of time is the original person that Dallas Denny knows.  So far the reports make it seem very promising, but as of right now we don't have enough info our experiences to say this is going to be helpful for most people with CH.  (in my opinion)

My sentiments exactly Ricardo.  Nothing wrong with delving into this further, but let's not get the cart before the horse.

  7. Just a side note on this study:

My onset age was about 13 or 14 yrs of age.  I had a short cycle (1 - 2 mos).  I know it was CH in hindsight because of the extreme pain, and I remember banging my head into the floor.

Fast forward to age 50.  After one year of misdiagnosis and unproductive major sinus surgery, I was diagnosed with 'primary chronic cluster headache'.

No headaches from puberty to age 50.  Go figure!

  8. Thanks for posting this Bob.

I too am both saddened and distressed by this news.  I remember Rex and his wife from the old Yahoo board, so it's been quite a few years since either were active on the boards to my knowledge.  I remember listening to his CD a couple of years ago, and wondering how he was doing.

She would always be the one reaching out for help for Jaques.

Maybe that was part of the problem. Rex couldn't reach out for help himself.

I guess that is one reason I'm even posting this. To let everyone here know that if you need help, reach out for it. You owe it to yourself and you owe it to your supporters. There hasn't been a person born yet that hasn't needed help at some point. Leaving it up to your spouse or other loved ones is not only not fair, but destructive to yourself and your relationship.

Everyone here knows how difficult life can be. No one would ever think less of you for reaching out for help. Quite the contrary. Reaching out shows not only strength but a determination to make a better life for everyone involved.

  9. "Scientific research tells us many animals can sense the Earth's magnetic field. Animals and humans have a magnetic field which surrounds them - very similar to the magnetic field which surrounds the Earth as its protector. Relates to humans (and various animals) charged particles from the Sun and our Milky Way can cause confusion or a disturbance in our emotions. The pineal gland, which regulates melatonin production and the circadian 24-hour rhythm, is sensitive to magnetic fields."

"In a recently related study published in the scientific journal 'Geophysical Research', indications of a dormant gene is residing within all of us just ready to be tapped. It is known as 'Cryptochromes' (CRY). They are involved in the 'circadian' (24-hour cyclical rhythms) of daily life. Strong scientific evidence indicates geomagnetic fields have an influence on the light sensitivity of the human visual system."

  10. About a tsp of powdered ginger (from your spice rack is fine) dissolved in a few ounces of tepid water (just warm enough to dissolve the ginger) has worked for many of us over the years to knock out stubborn shadows.

    Hope it works for hubby!
