  1. Damn, I didn't even have to read the rest of the thread, all I saw is Stella and my eyes watered. It's been too long since I've had a nice cold Stella. Damn you cycle, come to an end already! :'( >
  2. Sonnen or Silva, whose your pick? I'm picking Silva to mop the floor with Sonnen. Chael is a good wrestler, but I think Hendo was better and Silva had no problems with him or should I say, he probably is going to have less problems with Sonnen. Because Hendo did put up a good fight.
  3. I hope to be joining the ranks of the pain free before too long. Dont have seeds but have some spores I hope to be doing something with here pretty soon if all goes well. My first time busting but I've been doing a ton of research and I think I'm as prepared as I'm gonna get.
  4. Damn, got me there. But did mention I surround sound? ;D No, seriously, congrats on the sword. How are your headaches though? Are you currently in a cycle?
  5. Ha, ha, well, the closest I get to practitioner is when I play UFC 2010 on my XBOX, but I have the HDMI cable so it's in 1080p so it looks pretty real ;D
  6. Looks to me like you held your own and for only having been grappling for a year, you definitely got skills. There was a couple of times there it looked like you might have had him in a guillotine and even when he managed to get to side control you always managed to get back to half guard and full guard. Great going man against an experienced UFC vet. But hell, I'm just the fan, you're the practitioner so please don't take it as me offering anything more than my congrats. Wouldn't want to insult you by making you think I'm offering some sort of insight. Got too much respect for the work you put in to do that.
  7. I think what people have a tendency to forget is that we all suffer from the same affliction, so it amazes me that anyone would discourage anything that would alleviate our pain. Personally, I don't want to the meds thing anymore. I'm tired of the steroids, I'm tired of pain meds, and I'm tired of topamax. But, if someone else were to tell me that is what helps them get through the day, far be it from me to discourage them from using it. I don't think they should because of the long term effects from it, but what we go through, the pain, whatever works I say. For some people, that means Red bull or coffee, or hot shower, or ice water and cold towels, but like lucidity- said, respect differences. I will say, though, that I'm going to try the mother nature busting route as opposed to the pharmaceutical route and see what it does for me because like I said, all though I respect others choice if want they to, I no longer choose be on meds that could do more harm to my body in the future for short term relief.
  8. Sorry, I know I'm late posting to this but ya'll had me cracking up. I think I going to try every one of those, from the "No, I've never tried anything for them, why do you ask", to the, "it went away couple of days ago, just forgot to tell you" ;D But David is so right. My goodness, I can't tell you how many times I've had people suggest stupid shit to me that makes me want to drop kick them. Oh, have you considered going to the chiropractor? Oh, have you though about cutting caffeine out of your diet? Oh, you just need to hit this joint (which thanks for that suggestion and as fun as that sounds aint gonna do shit for me accept piss the hulk in my head off!) You just wanna grab'em, shake the shit out of them and say listen, please do a little research before making any suggestions dr, thank you. > ;D
  9. Big UFC fan here. That's something I've always wanted to try but never did, mma training that is. Did a little boxing when I was in my teens but then the gym I went to shut down and I never went further with it. I had read that the exercise might actually help with clusters because of oxygen to the blood and things like that. But then again, I've also read about the over exertion as well. Good luck in your future matches!
  10. I used to love to watch the reruns when I was growing up. Being 32 I'm not too far behind you, lol.
  11. Thanks for the replies. The more I think about it, the more I think about it, the more I think it is the nasal spray. Stadol (nasal spray) is new. Never used it till this cycle. Poison Ivy? Those s.o.b.'s....serves'em right. ;D .
  12. Now I will say this and I forgot to mention this, there are times when I feel the headache coming and I have a prescription for Stadol nasal spray and I will use it in an attempt to alleviate some of the pain. Do you think it's possible some of the post nasal drip is what's causing the nausea?
  13. I hate to be so blunt but with so many wonderful people out that are willing to answer questions, perhaps you could answer this one as well. For as long as I have had cluster headaches, they have never made me nauseous until this recent cycle. Now, I am beginning to vomit with some of the headaches. Never did before. And it's not with every headache, but I would say about every 3rd headache. I know it's not migraines, because I've had clusters since I was 15 and I'm 32 now. No sensitivity to light, my pain is unilateral, stuffy nose, rocking back and forth, yada yada. Anyways, back to my original question. Is the vomiting normal or is that something I should have checked out?
  14. Thanks, Nice to meet you. I'm in my longest cycle ever as well. My dr says that typical of clusters. They stayed on the same cycle for the first ten years I had them. What sucks is at 10yrs is when I figured at what they were (misdiagnois like so many others for a long time), so just when I figured out what they were and their pattern, they changed on me. But, I'm trying to not let this latest cycle discourage me. The way I see it, I should be thankful. At least I have the luxury of having pain free cycles because of being episodic. It's the chronic sufferers who my heart really goes out to.
  15. Thanks and love your avatar too but I can't take credit for mine, I just googled Banner to Hulk transformations and found it. I figured the beast within was the perfect metaphor for what we deal with. Plus, I'm a nerd at heart that loves superheros.
  16. I'm new to this site as well Dave, just signed up yesterday and it's nice to know that we're not alone in this struggle, isn't it? I've been reading a lot of posts and these are some amazingly supportive and informational people on here. I actually went into my cluster cycle back in the beginning of May and I'm still dealing with it. I guess you could say I'm one of the fortunate ones, I'm episodic. However, my fortune has dwindled over the past few years as my pain free cycles are getting shorter and shorter and cluster cycles, longer and longer. What you'll find on here though are people that understand, that get it. Because they deal with it too, they feel your pain, or they have a family member or friend that's going through it. And we're all here to offer support. So, don't let the beast win. Get online, educate yourself, do what you gotta do. And above all else, stay strong. Take care.
  17. I read online that PC Thailand - Koh Samui is supposed to be a good strain. I can't say from personal experience yet, but I'll will be able to pretty soon!
