thisorthat
I'm having some problems and I'm confused. To recap... I had my last cycle about 7 years ago, I managed to end it by busting it. I just started getting them again about 6 weeks ago. I was crushing imitrex and snorting it for a few weeks. The ch's were getting pretty bad. I tried busting without detoxing first on a wed night, but it didn't work. Got oxygen...I waited 3 days tried busting again on a Saturday & Sunday, but it didn't work at first. Four days later on Thursday my head seemed to be much better. I wasn't sure if the cycle was just ending naturally or the busting took a few days to work. By Saturday it appeared pretty much over although I had the dull ache, pressure, etc. that I have during a cycle. So I tried busting again last Saturday night. I also drank some vodka(one shot) and smoked a cigarette(not a smoker) to see if it would trigger and it did not. So Sunday I felt like even though I still had some dull aches, and lingering stuff, it was pretty much over. The last couple days has been pretty much the same. No full blown ch's. Although I do have to say I still wake up an hour after I fall asleep, that has not changed since the cycle began. I haven't used oxygen since middle of last week. So like I said, every night though I feel a dull ache and wake up with a dull ache about an hour after falling asleep, For the past week or so they haven't even really been 1's. Then last night I woke up with maybe a 1. I was iffy if I even needed the oxygen, but I went ahead and used it. I was up a few hours, then fell asleep. This morning and now I have the dull ache/burn, the blocked right sinus, etc. that lets me know I'm active. Also, I've been pounding diet red bulls every day all day. Not sure if caffeine may be throwing things off at this point. It's been so long since I've had a cycle that I forgot how they ended. Do they get drawn out like this and go back and forth? Or is it more abrupt? Is it possible that the busting only worked for a short period of time and now it's going to go back into a full blown cycle? (I remember them ending abruptly in the past but my memory may be faulty). Any advise/info is appreciated.
ThatHurtsMyHead
ThisorThat, Wish I could provide some direction, but many cycles are different in how they end, not only differnt between people but different between cycles of the same person. I've had cycles just go away one day. Others have gone away slowly only to snap back and last an extended period. Best thing in my opinion would be to do a series of busting's 5 days apart. Three maybe even four, and if your eposodic, very likely your cycle will be terminated at that point. PFW, Jeff
thisorthat
Thank you. I will try again this weekend. I just hate to be that inebriated so often and have it be so overpowering. It's one thing to have a few drinks on a weekend night it's another thing to be in weirdo land for 4-6 hours. But if that is what it requires... I was aching this morning, after drinking some red bulls and diet coke I felt okay. In the evening I sipped on a shot to see if it would trigger anything, it did not, but I felt a dull ache. I just got done working out hard core at the gym and I feel great, no pain or ache. But I'm pretty sure in a couple hours I'll wake up with something. I definitely am ready to be done with this cycle. The oxygen machine started smelling last night. I'm not sure if something is wrong with it or not. We'll see how things go tonight. Thanks for the advise. If anybody else has any insight that'd be great.
defectiv
i can just say from my own exp. that i have had times where i woke up and felt it was gone. and other times it was a lomg drawn out proccess. but im chronic so things may very. even with busting my pain is never fully gone. if i hit one of my triggers ill get an attack. i would try busting again then wait 5-7 days and if ur not getting hit then push out the busting further. until u feel its quiet always best to listen to ur body.
