TomE
So hell has returned! My clusters started in 1989 and came with every season change, each lasting 6 to eight weeks with 5 to 6 episodes a day. I was misdiagnosed for 12 years until I self-identified thru internet research. A true diagnosis enabled me to cope and not banish but at least minimize the suicidal thoughts that lurked beneath the surface during each cluster. My neurologist prescribed Zomig inhalers which did nothing. So I came to accept them and learn to live with it. And then after the fall of 2007 they stopped. Two weeks ago they came back with a vengeance. The first attack seemed my worst ever but perhaps I had simply forgotten. So I've been having 3 and 5 attacks a day on alternating days since. The worst part is wondering what this means. Is this a one off or will they be back regularly? So my question is this? Has anyone had their clusters return after such a lengthy remission and did they keep coming back after that? Thanks in advance for your insights! spiny
I can think of several people who have had long remissions. Then, the dragon returns and the fight begins anew. I had a nice long remission once. Then they returned with a vengeance. They are still with me, but under control now.
