Hi Shelley, And welcome. There's a lot to learn here. Read, read, read. Also, familiarize yourself with the sister site to this one, http://www.clusterheadaches.com/, particularly their message board. Ask questions on both forums. You also need to find a Neurologist or Pain Specialist in your area who treats CH patients and is current with CH procedures and medications. Take what you learn here and interview prospective Dr.s. If the one you're interviewing doesn't know what you're talking about, go see the next one on your list. There are a lot of amazing things happening in regards to CH. Thanks. I feel like apologizing, but I won't; I should have known better. Like coach bill says: "They" have much bigger fish to fry." There're a lot of people, I bet, who are just like me and need reassurance from folks with more experience like yourselves, that they can post whatever information they like, as long as it doesn't jeopardize national security or slander/libel anyone. I don't think you can offer to sell or ask to buy anything that's illegal to possess either. As adults, I think we should also be polite and considerate. As sufferers and care-givers, I think we should take advantage of this site and waste as little of each others time by being as succinct as possible and offering help commensurate with help received. Now, I'm not following my own advise and am beginning to babble. It must be the hour. Anyway, thanks you guys for helping this newbie. I'm sure there're others, besides me, that benefited from your experience. BTW, CH-HELL, what do FOAF and SWIM mean?

Hi. It took a particularly bad car accident to transition Michael from episodic to chronic. The headache pain made him so uncontrollable in the hospital (he's a big guy, he was breaking stuff, scaring the nurses, so they put him in restraints and gave him a shot of something they called "White Night"). It put him in a coma for 5 days. After he came out of the coma he was good - for awhile. Then they got bad and didn't stop. And they've gotten worse over the last several years. He's in bed all the time now except for a few hours at night - not that the headache goes away, he just can't stand being cooped up in his room 24/7. So, he gets up and we watch some TV together for a couple of hours. And then LSD came along (after an 8 month search) and for the first time in years THE HEADACHES COMPLETELY WENT AWAY, COMPLETELY WENT AWAY. AMAZING!! And then, after a totally wonderful 5 days of being completely PF, they came back. We're trying the r.c. seeds which seem to help and will be getting an oxygen setup ASAP. And then we'll wait until the government's paranoia eases and they devote the necessary time and resources into bringing psychedelics, both natural and artificial, and altered molecules of those psychedelics which produce no at least noticeable psychedelic experience to patients like bromo-LSD, into laboratories, hospitals and clinics for their widespread dissemination and use.

Ahhh . . . thanks. I feel much better now. So, who brought the dope? Just kidding!, just kidding! All kidding aside, thanks for the helpful information. No more paranoia.

Thanks FunGuy. What it sounds like you're telling me is that anyone can see open posts, including "Busting Stories" if they are determined. Not true for PM's. I can feel comfortable saying or asking pretty much anything (as long as I'm polite and inoffensive) on the PM's. Have I got that right?

Hi, I'm a newbie, not just to this forum but to forums and posting in general. My posts on this forum and on the sister site are some of my firsts. Both of these sites discuss the use of illegal drugs in the treatment of cluster headaches. I'm guessing that they are both being pretty closely monitored by law enforcement agencies looking for illegal activities. Would someone please tell me how private both open posts and private messages are? There are many questions I'm hesitant to ask, particularly of individuals, due to my fear of getting either myself or someone else in trouble. I'm probably not the only newbie on this or the other site with these same fears and questions. Thanks ahead of time for easing my paranoia. Bonkers
