  1. It's freaking me out having you in so much pain with nothing appearing to work no matter what you do. I've been there with my son and it's heartbreaking, so frustrating. If you don't get some relief by the end of tomorrow maybe you should think about going to the E.R., telling them your story (less of course the part about the illegal psychedelics) and make them get you out of the pain. At one point, my son was put into a drug-induced coma. That's pretty extreme but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm not saying they'll do that. They'll probably just give you a narcotic cocktail to get you out of the pain. I know that runs counter to what we're trying to do here but ya gotta get outta the pain, Dude. I apologize to the board. I'm sure that advise is offensive to many people but I can't think of anything else and I can't stand to see him continue to suffer. Maybe he's got something other than or in addition to clusters, something that the Drs can find and treat.
  2. I don't know if it was a good idea to spread the dose out over such a long period of time. Maybe okay, I just don't know. If you don't get any effect from this last dose, take the next one all at once, or, if in "tea" form, w/in an hour.
  3. Hi PlayDoh, There's a lot of info here so if you just keep reading you'll find answers to all your questions eventually. The ClusterBuster Files on the first page of the forum are a good place to start. The "psilocybin files" and "mushroom FAQ" are must-reads. Most here use mushrooms in "cracker dry" form and weigh them with a gram scale for more accurate dosing. You don't need to take a "full-blown trip" to bust. Typically 1.5-2.0g dry-weight is enough but YMMV. For 5-7 days subsequent to dosing, the receptors in your brain that are targeted by the psilocybin molecules are unavailable. That's why you can't trip every day. Dosing can both end a current cycle and prevent a new cycle from occurring. Busting seems to effect every clusterhead a little differently. You'll need to experiment with dosages and frequencies. These are very powerful substances and they're illegal so be careful. Ron
  4. "They are getting weaker and weaker and farther apart..." Is that cool or what? Michael's been doing this for a long time now and they're still getting weaker and weaker and farther apart. This morning was the beginning of the 4th day after busting; he should be completely PF by now. But he's not, so he's not sure if the busting worked or not. It's gotten to the point where he can't tell - sometimes, anyway - if he has a headache or not!!! Really, really happy for you guys.
  5. In the meantime, order your seeds so you have them on hand and read up on how to use them. For sure, read "LSA for Cluster Headache" in the ClusterBuster Files. Good luck.
  6. Hi BigDose, Welcome to the forum. Your experience is similar to my son's. Like you, oxygen worsens his attacks. Alcohol has no effect and he requires larger doses (3.5-5.0g dried) of shrooms than most. He is, however, chronic but gets up to 10 days relief from each dose. Imitrex lost effectiveness several years ago. Stick around, your experience will be helpful to many of us. Ron
  7. 72 degrees F, 24 hours a day, all year long. Never varies more than about 1/10 of a degree.
  8. If that's true Eddie, it would be amazing! I too have a friend who suffers terribly from it. Anybody know anything about this?
  9. As a 2nd generation native San Diegan (Michael's 3rd generation), I can testify that San Diego's weather is totally paradisey-ish. Nice word Bejeeber.
  10. Glad to have you back. Sorry for all the legal troubles. How's Martin?
  11. Yeah, this is very interesting - particularly since we live in San Diego. Let's hear more.
  12. For Michael, it was wonderful. Meeting first Denny, then Joe and Lenny. His eyes lit up and he was so animated and just happy. Finally, to meet others who know what "it" feel like. So yeah, it was wild.
  13. I don't know 'bout you guys, but Michael's found PFdom and is completely free of his HAs. It'll probably last forever - not.
  14. Damn. What a drag. CArl's been an enormous help since the very beginning. No one can PM him and I at least can't find his email address. I sure hope he's alright. CArl, if you happen to read this, I want to thank you for all the help you've given my son and I. If there's anything we can do to help you, please let us know. Your contribution to this forum has been huge. I hope you're okay and will return soon. If for some reason you don't return, you will be sorely missed. We wish you well in all you do. You've got a great heart.
  15. You have a gift, Sig. Your ability to express yourself in our language constantly amazes me. I'd love to be able to read things that you've written in your own. Your insight into your circumstances combined with the skillfully artistic expression of them is really refreshing. I'm glad you've chosen this forum as your palette. I always look forward to reading your posts. Ron
  16. Hi Eddie, I want to publicly thank you for reaching out to my son, Michael. We're both so happy that you were able to bust what must have been - nice to be able to talk about it in the past tense, huh? - an absolutely awful chronic. I hope Michael will be able to follow your lead. It sounds like there's a growing interest in hearing your success story on these boards. Maybe we'll all be able to read it soon. Ron
  17. Denny. Almost every picture I see you in, you're in a brewery. What's up with that?
  18. Christy, Wow! So Andrew's just about where Michael is on their way to PFdom. Cool! And just like Mike, he's going back to school and starting work. That's just great! I'm so happy for both of you. We both started this at the same time and we're both getting just about the same results using the same tools on sons with similar case histories. Who sez this stuff doesn't work? Michael just joined the board (he's ImBonkers). Maybe Andrew could do the same. Ron
  19. Thanks you guys, I'm glad you like it. Finances and arthritis have seen seen my once beautiful home fall to disrepair. When we bought the property more than 30 years ago it wasn't expensive. The location, with a year-round stream and views to the mountains and ocean, should remain unspoiled as the property is bordered on two sides by national forest. Denny couldn't photograph the aspect of the place which is most appealing to us. At night the quiet is deafening. Aside from frogs and the occasional owl, the loudest things you hear are your breathing and heartbeat.
  20. Hi Daniel, Welcome. Good to have you here. Lots to read - check out ClusterBuster Files. Ask questions. Sometimes it takes awhile to get an answer, so be patient. Glad you enjoyed the conference. We couldn't make it. Maybe next year. When you get the chance, would you please provide us with a little more of your background. My name's Ron. I'm the caregiver for my son, Michael. He's chronic but has had a lot of success with the psychedelics. He's 23 and just recently joined the forum himself. Ron
  21. Denny's extraordinarily fit for a man of his age. Not many men of any age can pull off wearing a purple, wife-beater t-shirt in public. He can. Come to think of it... he does look a little like Popeye.
  22. I'm embarrassed. This is the first time I've ever even thought about all those poor souls in 3rd world countries who are suffering from this horrible disease; folks that don't even have a name for the pain in their heads, let alone access to things like Imitrex and oxygen that we take for granted. My very bad. Thanks for waking me up.
  23. From L to R: Joe, Lenny, Agnes, Denny, Michael, Ron
  24. Hi BostonHeadacheDoc, Welcome aboard. Very glad to have you here. I wish that all the good men and women who care for us had your attitude. Hope you enjoy the convention. Ron
