Welcome wewcaj. Read "LSA for Cluster Headache" in the ClusterBuster Files. Good luck.

Hi Matty, I've got to agree with ting's feelings for you, my friend. I too, think that you're a wholesome, compassionate, sincere, honestly good, young man. You're a major asset to this community. I'm so glad you're here. There have been several times that I've been so down or so wrong and, all of a sudden, there you were picking me up and setting me straight. Thanks for being there. Ron

Thanks Bob. I'll buy both of us tickets. Last I looked, you're puttin' a little age on, yourself.

I learned something very interesting about my hearing loss from my Dr. He's been treating my spinal degeneration (really arthritis, which I'm now riddled with) since my first fusion about 10 years ago. He told me that my hearing loss - which has progressed rapidly over the last 3-4 years - was also caused by the arthritis. He reminded me of the little bones that connect the eardrum to its cochlea. They're connected by joints which are subject to arthritis. The more arthritic those joints become, the less accurately they're able to transmit vibrations from the eardrum. Maybe that's something that everyone else knows about, but it sure was news to me.

I listened to your song, ting. It's not quite to my taste but not much is anymore since I began losing my hearing. What is the "drive" you ask us to listen to in the song?

Hi Andy, What a wonderful Dr you have. Cherish him. You might also give him the address to this website. Welcome and good luck! Ron

Sorry to have to be the one to say it, tingeling, but it looks like maybe you're a human being like the rest of us. I, for one, looked at you - and loved you - as sort of a junior, female sage. After seeing you tossed around like a rag-doll by the implications of a few words in a letter, I'm more inclined to look at you - and love you - more like my very human daughter. I'm so glad that you're here among us, helping everyone you touch. It's like you're our heart. Ron p.s. - I hope the foregoing didn't come off as harsh or critical. It wasn't meant to be. It came from a warm heart.

Sorry, ting. It sounds like you're being denied govt. assistance for some obviously frivolous reasons. At least that's what it sounds like. Maybe it's something entirely different. Regardless, you're going to need someone to represent you against them. There must be a way for you to get free legal representation. Or at least advice. I wish I could help.

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Hipshot and DJ. Happy birthday to you.... and many more.... and a pinch to grow on.

Hi Dan, Not addictive in the sense that heroin is addictive; more in the sense that Gummy Bears are addictive. Ron

Good for you, cc. Stories like yours are what we want to hear.

Hi veggies, Please tell me that you don't smoke pot anymore. Hi Donald, Good luck at the Doc's. Read what you can about Oxygen on this website soz you'll be able to talk to your Doc about it tomorrow. Read about a lot of stuff here; there's a lot to learn. Ron Welcome to both of you.

Hi ryan031, Click on the "help" button between "home" and "search" at the top of the page. Then, in the left side box, click on "register an account." Welcome. Ron

Hi tingeling, I hope you live a really long time. A quote that I've remembered since college that I believe comes from the Bible is: "By their fruits shall ye know them, not by their roots." You've demonstrated a level of wisdom far deeper than anyone that I've ever met who is as young as you. I believe that once you get a peek into that realm where wisdom abides, clarity and compassion increase on their own without your having to do much to help aside from just doing the best you can. I don't see how you could not have gotten a peek. You're one awesome young lady. Ron

What a nice thing to say. It's no wonder that everyone loves you.

Damn dude! You're one tough S.O.B. And you're about to get a whole lot tougher. I'll bet you're mad as hell. You really got it thrown at ya. My wife left me about 4 years ago - after 25 years of marriage. I'm still spinnin.' I don't think I could've taken much more than that. You had two women that you really depended on dump you. I know it's probably impossible to imagine just now, but you'll probably end up being better off for it in the long run. Any woman that would leave her own 6-year-old son isn't someone I'd want raising him. And a neuro that would dump a CH patient because he was trying to find his own way out of CH hell isn't worth the paper her diploma's printed on. I don't know any more about your circumstances than what you've told, but I do know that you don't need to pretend to be normal (whatever that means) around here. You can feel free to vent here, ask questions about anything and not be criticized and expect to be supported by pretty much everyone here 24 hours a day. There's a whole lot of bustin' experts here who can make sure you do this properly. You'll probably be advised to find another doctor; preferably a neuro who is a headache specialist; one who treats CH patients. If you tell us where you live, someone can suggest a doctor or doctors near you. When you're able - it sounds like you're kinda busy - read as much as you can here and also on another CH website that is more attuned to traditional CH treatments:Â http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard2/index.html). You might start on this website, at the bottom of the first page, in the ClusterBuster Files where you'll find more information than you can imagine. Right now you need some help. Tingeling asked if you have a network of folks that can give you a hand. If you don't, you're either going to have to hire a nanny and cut back on your CEO hours at the corporation or pay a visit to Social Services. Please stick around. We can and will help. I'm very sorry that all this has happened to you and that it's happened all at once, but you will definitely get through this and you'll end up a better man after you do. Don't hesitate to PM me, email me or call me (619-445-0434) anytime, 24/7.

Sorry, I posted the above message a long time after I wrote it but before I noticed that tingeling had responded to everyone's concerns after I started it. I was going to delete it when I saw it but decided that I don't care if she knows how I feel about her. I'm not too old to have schoolboy crushes but I am too old to care if anyone knows about it.

Yo, tingeling dude, 'S'up? Many of us are concerned that you haven't posted lately. For many of us, your pretty much daily posts are one of the things we most look forward to. When you almost-like talk on the telephone with a group of people every day, you invest emotionally in their lives and they in yours, even given the anonymity of an internet forum such as this. You're our first god member and that's not just because you like to write or that you have nothing else to do. You share a common experience with the other folks on this website; an experience unlike any other. A nightmare, actually. A physical pain so severe that it has infected your entire life. What we're doing here is very important and it's very good. You found, by whatever good fortune, a weapon that is effective against this pain way beyond anyone's wildest expectations; a weapon that is giving us the upper hand. That, you also share with the other members. It's like we're all on this wild adventure together; like we're crew members on Columbus' ship or lab partners in a world-class laboratory, homing in on a cure for cancer. You're needed here and you like it here. Everyone I know likes having you here. Everyone is concerned for your welfare. Please let us know that you're okay, or if not, you'd be surprised at how much we could help. Ron
