  1. Hahaha I will have to for sure! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
  2. Hi Spiny, The o2 company that deliver my large tank are really good, I'm sure they'll sort it out - or rather 'hope' they will Diary - Yeah, I't's easy cos i just have to put 1,2 or 3 and the duration of the pain for all the types of 'heads' ...very small boxes, so it's not proving extremely challenging ;D hahaha - How the hell can I put a dozen or more shooting pains in one box (for a 24 hour period ) along with everything else!! Oh well, he's the one that's got to try and interpret it! As long as what I get what I need, he's paid to decipher the diary : Poor man! Toni
  3. My visit to the Neuro was 'frantic' is so much as I was bombarded with rapid-fire questions for 40 mins. Ranging from when 'heads' first started, how many a day, types of pain, how long it lasts to what I do to help and what taken...and usual family history. The good news is I'm finally getting a portable O2 tank and a the injections without any hassle!! He's writing to my GP to make sure this happens I go back in 4 months for a 15 mins appointment (unless I need to speak to him before) armed with the 'head-ache' diary he's given me to fill in. Pain on a scale of 1-3 regardless of whether it is a 'shooting/stabbing' pain that lasts for a second, a migraine that can last for 4 hours - 3 days, daily head-ache, shadow or CH...No notes/jottings because ' he hasn't got time for that.' It was productive, but HE GAVE me a headache!! Hope you're all being good
  4. Hahaha Fabac - and with a 'pudding-brain' too Just think what I'll achieve when I get off the Meds!! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] I totally agree Spiny, that's all so many of us have had for far too many years...Dare we begin to hope that the 'specialists' are finally coming to their senses and beginning to understand...It can't be a coincidence that this AMAZING site is bringing such a debilitating condition to the forefront of their minds Massive shout-out to you all!!!
  5. Hi there BigEddie and welcome to the site - although it's not good you have to be here, if you are suffering it is THE BEST place to be!! Just to reiterate the great advice/info above, daily headaches/migraines/CH - are all very different and each individuals 'experience' will differ slightly. You really do need get advice from a Neuro/headache specialist as well as READ as much info as you can What have you been using (if anything) to help manage the pain/symptoms? I pretty much have a constant pressure in my eye and temple on my left side (which I would describe as part of my 'shadows' ), this increases to 'manic crazy' pain ... If you are having CH's then YES you certainly DO NEED O2..as well as other things in your arsenal: Energy shots/drinks, a stock of ice is good too...you can find lots of info on here regarding this Keep posting and asking questions, you will be helped Best wishes to you
  6. Hey DM Mine was a troubled child-hood, for me that's why my headaches started...just my theory
  7. Another 'rocker' here too!! Mum took me to the docs when i was a toddler because i used to rock with my back against the wall, almost bouncing off it and could never sit still - doc said i was just a 'well balanced' child and it was normal and just a 'soothing mechanism'.. i used to make my own noise to the rocking too, and my sister always 'grassed-me-up' as it got on her nerves..we had bunk-beds and me rocking and making silly noises were obviously keeping her awake...it became a habit that I had to get myself out of when i was getting married!! He'd have thought i was a loony-toon!! I still like to jiggle my feet/legs though
  8. Glad you put the advice about the ginger here, thanks Alleyoop I'm gonna give that a go!! Gartozi - Good luck with finding relief
  9. Big WOW WOW WOW's well done Fab and Fab Family, so thrilled for you all !! Great to read you are doing so much better and are getting your life back and pain free time Thank you for sharing
  10. A good thought! I agree, the stuff that's in the water supply, dairy products, in processed food, on food...none of it is any good for anyone...
  11. Hope you're feeling better?? Sorry you've had a bad time of it Haz but really hoping the 'busting' goes well for you!! I've been looking at the price of the seeds too, and yeah it looks like it will be a costly remedy, what with factoring the cost of the monthly vitamins etc...but hey-ho if it works Maybe I'll stick some on my xmas list! Did you order from the site recommended on here? Fingers, Toes and Eyes all crossed for you!!
  12. Hey thanks for that P, now I understand!!! Fabac, i pay a one -off fee for my prescriptions, so i can get anything within that time-frame, NHS is great in the UK However, getting the injections, due to cost i imagine, is harder ... thanks for the kind wishes, same to you PFDAN to you all x
  13. Wine is a massive trigger for me, especially red; lager too. I can sometimes get away with one measure of gin/bacardi/southern comfort etc, but usually then get a bad migraine at some point the following day. Hardly seems worth it does it really...It's a party pooper that's for sure!!
  14. Ooops. well it was just a thought. Hope you do find someone who can help though. Best wishes and luck to you.
  15. If I'm out and about, i get an iced frappe to give me brain-freeze...weird, but brain-freeze is better than the pain, not sure why it helps? Thanks for the tips why does energy drink help? Oh and look, I've fathomed out how to insert a 'quote', all by myself!! Note to self, must remember to spell-check now...
  16. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! i can do it too [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
