  1. A lot of episodics such as myself return to normal life, with triggers not an issue, unless we're feeling some indications (like shadows) that the CH is lurking again and ready to pounce. I won't presume to speak for otherwise chronic clusterheads who have busted out of it though.

  2. ...living between the hits has always been a goal....sometimes thought it actually harder (for me) than during a cycle.....as there is no enemy at the gates to motivate my anger/determination. when a cycle ended....chemically or naturally....depending on how soul sucking it had been, i would eventually do a "beer test". got pretty good at knowing when "all clear" even w/o that.... ....after that it was f**# minding the triggers...got a life to live. then one day, a trigger will indeed trigger....so it's wash-rinse-repeat..... ....but, i'll repeat...living between the hits and acting like just another regular person...the beast takes enough...it can' have that..... best jonathan

  3. marcianin, what did the doctor prescribe to you? It might be valuable for you to read this post, which will give you an idea of the landscape of possible treatments: https://clusterbusters.org/forums/topic/6213-basic-non-busting-information/ I would suggest starting a new topic in the "Theory and Implementation" section, with the heading "Newly Diagnosed" or something like that. That's how you'll get the most advice and have it in one place.

  4. Welcome dehabel! What a lovely break you had!! I am sorry to read that it is over now. Barometric Pressure changes and for some, pollen as well, can bring them out to play. I was granted a 10 year hiatus that ended when I moved to the northern part of the state and into the mountains. Went from mild chronic to a normal, this really sucks CHer. With this site, I got it under control and life is pretty normal now. I moved 16 years ago and they come on time, every time if not prevented by me. Vitamin D3 Regimen has been a huge help for me and many others along with other methods that you will read about on this board. I have yet to meet a person who actually 'aged out' as they like to call it and I know several over 70 years old. I strongly suggest you check out the D3 Regimen. It can offer great relief and is plain old good for you vitamins. Are you on any meds for yours now? It is suggested to read a bit on here to get the most benefit from the Site. You can key in what you want to look at in the space by the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the page. Were you chronic or episodic? Did you get O2 and do you still have the rig? It can be a big help to slam down an energy drink or shot at the first sign of a hit. I use iced coffee most times. Ask a lot of questions if you want. We encourage that and reading too. You will learn a lot, very quickly. ATB!

  5. I am self diagnosed HC. I have been seeing a pain clinic but my treatment there has come to no results. For a long time, I thought I had migraine, then cluster and now HC. I have been keeping a pain diary for a couple of months and it stands out that I do have a dull headache most every day all day along with the spikes of 7/8 pain and an occasional 9. My question is this: Do mushrooms work for HC? I am not really into taking script due to side effects I've studied. I love this forum = lots of good info here and I am researching mushrooms for perhaps my best option. Thanks I. M. Hurt
