kika Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I am seeing my headache MD tomorrow to get my annual script for O2 and am anxious about turning down the Rxs for the usual preventatives now that I bust instead. I imagine he will think it odd that I don't want the usual verap and zomig and feel like I owe him an explanation since I have been seeing him for the past 8 years or so. So my questions are: A) Do most of you tell your doc that you bust? I am especially worried as I am an RN and could lose my licence for using this method Can someone post a link to research that supports it's use? I alluded to doing this at last year's appt, and he seemed quite non plusssed Quote
defectiv Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 i would just make sure to ask that he not put anything down on paper or in ur file. i just asked to have a conversation with my dr and she was very good about understanding. esp if u have a long term relationship w/ the dr. they will just be pleased you have found relief. Brew Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 You could just mention that it seems you have gone into remission (no need to mention that the remission was caused by x or y or z). "I think I'll hold off on refilling these Rx's, but I'd like to keep the O2 on hand just in case - since it's the best abortive I have available to me." Not every truth needs to be spoken. Quote

I ended up taking your advice. Thanks all. Quote
