Carole, Having done both seeds and shrooms I can say they both work. The problem giving you more than that is I did seeds for 5 doses before changing over when I was able to get my hands on the magic. I can tell you however that the physical effect while the dose is coursing through your body is much milder with RC seeds ( at least for me) and according to the FAQ on LSA some say they are more effective than shrooms. However anecdotal evidence from my reading every thread on this subject has me leaning to the shroom side. Caveat alert, this is an opionion not a fact, as one person posted on another thread what works for you may not work for others and vice versa. If you have some ammunition at the ready go for it once detoxed, there is no problem with switching medicine during the bust and some people say that is the most effective course of action. All of this question and answer and different answers etc is why I called my busting thread "and so my experiment begins". We are all trailblazers in this and we all continue to learn from each other's success's and failures. Sorry so long, sometimes I just can't help myself (many would agree with that statement). I have only met two fellow CHers in my life so my exposure has been limited, thanks bejeeber that certainly shows this is not a white European heritage disease and by the by my back round is Limey Bum, with a little Irish and Scottish thrown in (very good looking and intelligent to boot) .

Okay here goes a stupid question. I have read threads about what we all do or don't have in common from addictive personalities, smoking history, head trauma etc. I have been posting and talking to people on this and our sister site for over the last two months and one thing I have found is no one has asked about or discussed ethnic background. I can't recall any ethnic "minority" discussion and or lack thereof. So may question is what is the percentage of black, asian, hispanic, native american etc sufferers of cluster headaches,or is being of a european or scandanavaian heritage a major common thread? Could be a stupid question or not politicaly correct but I just had to pose it since my type A, addictive, head traumed, former everything, personality just had to ask. David

Just read the article I was 11 at the time, sorry I missed it bet they had a lot of our medicine there.

This is the reply I received from my Brother in regards to me sending him the ouch article and asking if he had read it after his aspirin comment. "I work seven days a week so, no I havenÂ’t had a chance to do much but work eat and sleep. But I will get to it." I felt like writing back that it is 3 freakin pages long and he could read it while having his f&*ing morning coffee. But my cooler head prevailed and I came here instead where my real family is. Sorry I guess my attempt at humor missed, here on the east coast you cannot throw a rock without hitting an Ikea, so the thought of listing it as one of many great reasons to go the conference struck me as funny. :)

Having dosed 5 times with RC seeds I can tell you the effect is very mild (60 at one time was the most). However I too got very tired from them, but I did not get any post dose hits till the following morning around 11am or so. I like to take mine around 9pm and then off to bed around 11, unlike the shrooms (2 doses) I get a full nights sleep (same time of night for the dose but first post dose hit at 2am both times). Hey AO, I read your post over there and I hear where you are coming from, it is hard to get people to change their mind set. I am not going to repeat what everyone else said here as we know what we are doing is the right thing. However I will say that I have my thread going on both sites simultaneously of my experiment and quite honestly though it has been read 2500 times over there the lack of responses to it is incredible. Lately the only positive feedback I have gotten (or any feedback at all) has been from the moderators. The fact the that the moderators have been supportive gives me hope that our message is getting out. Also I still go onto that site everyday and when I hear of people suffering or newbies who are running out of options I post "our" web address and tell them there are options and not to despair. Keep fighting the good fight, all you can do is relate your experiences with the "accepted" medication offered and pray it helps even one person. The goal is for all of us to become pain free without ruining our bodies and minds in the process. David

Sleep came late, then the post dose hits started. I will leave that story to my thread. Yankees don't need Cliff Lee, they are fine the way they are. For "fun" I checked on flights from NY to Portland, it is almost like the old "you can't get there from here". Every decent fare you have to fly out Sunday morning (anything can't miss Sunday?) or stay another night in Oregon. I am going to keep playing with it, if I can figure out a way to do this for under $750 with room I am in.
