I know, but how productive is it? Let's try to stay on topic here. Bob

Hormonal manipulation of the hypothalamus may also be a possible treatment strategy for cluster headache. Clomiphene citrate is an ovulatory stimulant, which actively alters hypothalamic estrogen receptors. The author has already shown the partial effect of clomiphene citrate in SUNCT syndrome. 6 Atreatment refractory chronic cluster headache patient is presented who had a dramatic and sustained response to clomiphene citrate treatment. Prior to starting the clomiphene citrate, hormone laboratory testing was completed and showed normal total testosterone levels (464 ng/mL; normal range 241-827 ng/mL), low normal free testosterone levels (9.2 pg/mL;normal for ages 30-39 years; 8.7-25.1 pg/mL), low normal luteinizing hormone (LH) levels (1.8 mIU/mL; normal 1.418.1 mIU/mL), normal prolactin, and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels. Clomiphene citrate was started at 50 mg/day and the patientÂ’s headaches decreased from daily to one headache 3-5 days per week. See attachment. Clomiphene_in_CCH.pdf

Hi Anthony and welcome! CHfather is right - there has been some success busting while on verapamil. I know because I am one of those. I have had success busting with psilocybin, LSD and LSA (seeds). As a matter of fact, I had more success busting with seeds than anything else. I have been on 480mg verap daily for years, and had pretty good success overall busting, although I do feel quite certain that I would have enjoyed much more success if I had been able to completely detox from verapamil.

I have always taken two capsules of mushies (about a half gram apiece) when I fly. I pack one in my bag for the return flight, and take the other just before passing security. It's always worked for me.

We sacrifice our health in order to make money. Then we sacrifice money to recuperate our health. Then we are so anxious about the future that we do not enjoy the present; the result being that we do not live in the present or future; we live as if we are never going to die, and then die having never really lived.

Oscar, it's great to hear about your PF time, and especially how it coincided with your holiday in Spain. Don't worry about not posting on the board, especially since it was because you were PF. I love to hear from people like you who have been absent for a while because they were not having these God-awful headaches. It means that they are living life! But by the same token, I am somewhat saddened that they found the need to come back because they are back in cycle. God bless you and your wife Oscar, but please don't apologize for your absence from this board.

Don't worry...it doesn't take many of those nudges to wake you up to the fact that you have to hit the 02 at the very first sign of an impending attack.

1. Are you: A. Chronic B. Episodic 2. With the understanding that there are many factors affecting CH, do you feel that the D3 regimen: A. Did nothing or nearly nothing for you. B. Eliminated your headaches. C. Helped with the severity of your headaches but didn’t eliminate them. D. Helped with the frequency of your headaches but didn’t eliminate them. E. Seemed to help for a while but then stopped showing anything positive. If this is true for you, how long did this improvement last before stopping? 3. If you experienced positive results, how long were you on the D3 regimen before you experienced them? Although I did not experience positive results, I only took the regimen (including lemonade) for about a week. The reason I quit after such a short time, is because I was actually getting hit harder and more often while on the D3. (of course this could have been nothing more than my cycle peaking) Bobb

Mescaline to a lesser degree, while those using DMT have reported good, if not great success.

5 of those patients were chronic, coincidence all found relief? I think not. I admire some of Goadsby's work, but seriously, this is the guy telling everyone how horrible these things are how bad they hurt, how it destroys lives and so on, and here something shows unfathomable results in its first trial... ...and hes acting like he has to defend himself and his studies because he hasn't found anything remotely close to the success of this trial. Don't get me wrong he has done alot for the sufferers, but it seems just because his name isn't attached to the research hes a little butt hurt. Instead of blowing wind in our sails, hes dropping the anchor which is his name and respect for CH. Some just don't want to play for the team when the spotlight isn't hitting them or there's not enough zeroes in their bank account. Break the skin with negative input and throw the "we need more research" band aid on it. Now forth coming I bet if the trials don't continue to go 100 % he will jump all over them and try to climb back to his perch with an "I told you so" Picking at the bone because it's not his meat I see BOL-148 being such a success that every one involved in studies or medical practice for migraine and clusters is in fear of a life of half luxury because we aren't knocking on the dr's office doors looking for imitrex samples or coming in every week for a nerve block and all the other crazy stuff we do. It's a damn shame how people go to welding centers and lie about keeping bait alive to get o2, splitting imitrex shots since you don't need the whole vial, taking the most illicit substances with no known true measure of dose, I could go on we all get the idea. We spend billions on this war BS send our troops over there to guard poppy fields, and then arrest our citizens when the product makes it over here. Meanwhile a select few deal with the most excruciating pain known to man and its illegal to not be in pain. I guess some things are more important. The money it would cost to respectively research BOL is pocket change compared to the amount of money doctors and pharm companies would loose due to us not having headaches. I'd like to put some of these greedy grimey money hungry fools on an island by themselves with nothing but all their money. Let's see how happy they are then with their little green pieces of paper. . . man I'd love to watch them burn it for warmth. AO Very eloquent AO!!! And with caps no less!
