  1. Moxie, several years ago we tossed this around on the old board to mixed reviews. I personally never got hit while I was under and didn't trigger on the way up as long as I made extra long and more frequent "safety stops". That did not keep me from getting slammed later but no worse then normal. Cheers and no fears Tim
  2. What is the chemical in this stuff that mimics Vit. M as far as stimulating salivation? I still cannot endorse it or proclaim that it is snake oil but I am still trying it in between harder to obtain things. Back to seeds for me for another try. I'm not quitting easy!!! Looking into the nerve block........Tim
  3. FG don't worry about my email. I booked us. Linda and I will see you in Sept. Oh man now that song is going to be stuck in my head (:
  4. I am with you Moxie! I live in a state where it has been legalized much to the delight of my law enforcement friends. Legalization allows them to save a ton of money and spend their resources and time on much more serious issues. I live in a house with a sister-in-law that has MS. If anyone thinks that cannabis does not work for pain and sleeping they should talk to a few people that get it prescribed. Tim
  5. I know that I said that I would post updates on my various (busting) results but just when I get ready to claim partial success I have gotten slammed with almost a week of horror. I will keep trying with the attitude that the methods just are not working YET. Still trying though! PF wishes to all.
  6. It would appear that my only son has registered on this board. He messaged me with "I want to learn more and share this with you, obviously not the pain, but a chance for understanding and support. I love you". He decided to call himself (Timmy,) when he is really Timothy Dean Rambow II and he only lets good friends call him Timmy. I guess that makes you all good friends. He has had to struggle with being a Clusterheads son since he was 12. He has always been there for me when I have been weak enough to ask but I have not done that very much. I think that I have done my best to hide/minimize, BS my way through the times that I did not want him to know or worry about. I now think that I was wrong! He is way smarter then I give him credit for, so be nice if he starts posting and don't....do not!!!! ask him for anything because he will give it to you even at his own peril. I do not make this up, that's just the way he is, you first him last .........
  7. I just ordered mine. I wonder if I can try this while still busting. So far no magical results but there have changes so I will not give up until I have to. I need this thing to be gone! Thanks to all !!!
  8. Does Celebrex block busting. I have been prescribed some for another issue and need to know if I should start it? Thanks......Tim
  9. AMEN! Prayers for your success, your fellowship with each other and your safe travels back to your homes. oh and Thanks!!!!
  10. Bust #2 went off very smoothly so far. I am going to go lay down. PF wishes and dreams to all! Gnite.....Tim
  11. Cluster Headaches, Because kidney stones weren't enough fun!
  12. Echo, now there's a name I haven't seen in a long time, but to your ? I can't say how it is there now but in 87 I went there and they were the team that gave me a positive diagnosis agreeing with my original neurologist from Rush Saint Lukes in Chicago. I would hope and assume that they have only gotten better over time. Best of luck always......Tim
  13. Thanks Tony, my order is in. I have used Licorice root but only by itself and for a different reason. I am also fortunate enough to have Chronic Hep C and have since a bad batch of injections infected several hundred guys ( just in my deployment) on our way to Vietnam. Of course none of us found this out until 25 to 30 years after the fact. I wonder if I can use the root for it's liver cleansing properties at the same time as busting. Any thoughts? Thanks again... Tim
  14. Freshest, fastest RC seed link anyone? Thanks in advance' Tim
  15. Yes I have had 2 or 3 primary care MDs that were very receptive and interested. My current general practitioner (it's like going to a fresh scrubbed girl young enough to be my daughter), is open to discussing anything and has the same attitude as my best Neuro ever DR. Peter Schilder of Annapolis, Maryland who simply said "TIM, we are talking about a quality of life issue here, do what you need, we have run out of so called acceptable options". Unfortunately he is no longer in practice and I never managed to cultivate successfully but I was (angel...d) some and had some hope. Ready to try again. Workin on it 8-)
  16. Please post only if you are chronic. 1. Age when CH began? 33 2. Age when became chronic? 33 3. Years chronic? 26 4. Does the number and/or intensity of hits (Kip level) vary throughout the day/week/month/year? yes with no discernible pattern regardless of altitude, physical location, long story that I will be happy to share but basically episodes within the larger egg of no episodes are random. 5. Do you have a continuous 'background' headache (migraine?)? No but I do get separate migraines with auras and all the trimmings (luckily they are not frequent and overshadowed by CH...LOL 6. Please list effective medications and length of time effective. No effective medications have ever been found with the exception of heavy narcotics which you must pay the piper for as soon as you stop or die. O2 was effective at 15 litres but only while actually strapped to the mask, never aborted one. 7. What are you using now? Red Bull, Cardio walks combined with cold air. I live in the north. 8. How frequent are your chronic attacks? Daily or nightly or both depending on nothing measurable. As to possible additional questions... 1. Have you used a run of indo to rule out other types of ha 2. Have you been to one of the in house headache clinics to both diagnose, identify triggers and attempt to find working med combos? 3. Do you have concurrent medical conditions that need to be considered while considering treatment options? My answers to all three of the above are are yes. #1. more then once #2. Michigan Headache Clinic, Dr Joel Saper, Diamond Headache Clinic, Dr Seymour Diamond #3. Yes C.O.P.D. , an upper aortic aneurysm, Hep c, borderline hemochromatosis. Of #3 above the hemo issue is the has the most prevalence to my case because it is essential that i avoid trace metals ie; iron, zinc, chromium, magnesium etc. Also even though I have great interest in the D3 regimen which is being much discussed I need consult with my Dr. as it has been mentioned in conjunction with calcium which is also a metal (all minerals are metals), as well as being toxic if you already have a high blood calcium level. OK, not wanting to write a book here so in closing I fully intend to try busting again. I had some success with shrooms before but I think did not have the nerve to use a big enough dose and did not stick with it long enough. I had zero success with large doses of LSA both wood-rose and RC. Best Pf wishes to all and I hope to see you in Sept.
  17. I would be interested to know the stats. I just mentioned to my wife last night that since finding my way to this board it seems as if there are a lot more chronics then I remember from my days on the Ch board. I have also noticed more people diagnosed with chronic ch/ migraine hybrid although when I was diagnosed in 87 by Dr.Saper and others they called it ch/migraine variant. semantics i suppose.
  18. Awesome Purple! Have a great day and stay pain free....fingers crossed.
  19. Brian I am happy that you are PF but silkroad sells a lot of things besides meds. I can't see myself associating myself with the entire mindset behind it. Stay safe and well.
  20. Buzz, i am so glad that you came back and relieved some (last post fears). I will celebrate my 26th year without a pf day this coming march and I can't tell you how many times I have laid out the entire plan to end this in a way that looks ok to others. I am back on this board because I am spending way to much time on those thought patterns again. i have tried busting before with minimal and temporary relief. As a certain fuzzy haired Doctor at an Austin, TX. meet told me "you might have to start with a sledge hammer before you can back down to a maintenance dose. I fully intend to try anything I can before I give up for good. Hang tough and I will try to do the same.
  21. well it took me a bit to find out how to use the new board but i think i have finally done it at least well enough to say hello, i have missed those of you that i had a prior relationship with and i look forward to getting to know those that i have not met or cyber-met before. my story has not changed much , just my circumstances. still daily , still going back to the occasional medico to try something (new) meaning off lable and still in slow deterioration mode. enough about me. i am very pleased to see some names here as it helps to know that there are people out there that won't give up trying to help others. i will post any and all details of my last 4 years missing in action as time goes on or as requested. my best to all...and linda says hi to all who know her.
