Spot on, Chris - as usual. My hope is that the word "Entheogen" isn't even mentioned, though I believe that they - and BOL - are our current best hope. Anytime a new company is mentioned - particularly an under-funded one such as this - a lot of folks think of greedy little men stuffing their pockets with donations. I think any plea for money or the mention of any company being involved is premature. People expect to be educated by NatGeo. The only pleas for money should be from - and for - them. Ron

Tingeling, my dear. You have nothing to apologize for. You're speaking to your family. We all love you. Please stop or you'll give yourself a migraine. You don't want that. Ron

Hi shahooty and welcome to the board. You're wise to get a proper oxygen setup and learn how to use it correctly. That's a good start. You'll learn many things here that you'll find helpful in dealing with - and hopefully getting an upper hand on - your CH. I wish I could tell you to take this followed by that and then do this and your CH problems are over - but I can't. There's a lot you'll need to learn 1st. All the info's here for you and you'll be glad you learned it but you gotta learn it 1st. To get you started, this video ( ) of a talk given by our founder, Bob Wold, will give you a broad overview of what we're doing here and how Psychedelics have been found to abort and often provide longtime relief of CH. The Menu to your left provides a link to the CH.com Oxygen Page that will show you how to get a proper oxygen setup. In the Forum Jump at the bottom of this page is a link to the ClusterBuster Files. There you'll find what is probably the most complete collection of articles regarding CH and Psychedelics on the internet and possibly in the country. They're in no particular order, but may I suggest you first read "disclaimers and warnings." Then, follow your interests, but be sure to include "*BUSTING INSTRUCTIONS* and info for Newcomers" along with "Quick Rundown." The folks here are anxious to help you. Please ask questions about anything you're unsure of. Join in the conversations and help us to help other sufferers. You are needed, appreciated and we're glad you're here. Ron

Thanks CHfather. Having L.G.'s material in this much more easily accessed form will make learning about licorice tincture and deciding whether one should give it a try a much easier task. Your efforts will help many others.

Depending on the innate goodness of others to watch out for my best interests is a mistake I've made most of my life. I think if I were you - and I'm not - I'd get it in writing that the emphasis of the show would be on the devastating nature of Cluster Headache and the lengths sufferers are willing to go to to find relief. Expensive operations that sever nerves or implant electrodes deep inside CH'ers brains. Folks who've never in their lives broken a law who risk serious jail time by taking or supplying others with illegal drugs. Those who resort to suicide when they can no longer tolerate the pain. Magic Mushrooms and LSD just happen to work better than anything else. If ice cream had the same magic, no one I know would be dropping acid. It's also true that no one would watch - or make - a show about ice cream: the miracle drug. I'd like to see BOL painted as the miracle drug. An exotic drug derived from LSD but without its attendant hallucinations. A legal drug that could be available by prescription but that is currently prohibitively expensive due to the difficulty of its manufacture and the illegality of its precursors. I'd hate to have anyone shown growing psilocybe mushrooms or taking LSD with a wink and a smile. There should only be sadness at the extremes sufferers are willing to resort to for some respite from the pain. This is a real opportunity to gain public awareness and support. It could just as easily backfire and make us look like drug-seeking whiners unwilling to put up with a little headache. Ron

I AM jealous. I miss having my way with YOU.

Well, my friend, I think it's great that you've consented to be the Poster Boy for our most worthy cause. It seems to me though, that NatGeo is trying to pull the wool over your eyes with their insistence that you provide them with all the sordid (read illegal) details regarding our methods of production and distribution. Sensationalism is what sells newspapers - and TV programs. You'd think that the public broadcast by a media outlet as highly respected as NatGeo, of the most effective treatment yet found to treat the most painful condition ever suffered by mankind, would create enough sensation in itself, without the need to jeopardize anyone's access to the substances required for that treatment or the freedom of the "Angels" willing to supply them... whew. Eyes on the prize. I hope everyone's in agreement that ready access to BOL for any ClusterHead in the world and the universal acceptance and understanding of its effectiveness by the Medical Establishment is our ultimate goal. Our immediate goal is to get the word out that Psychedelics and high-volume oxygen hyperventilation will work in the meantime. I think Jeebs hit the nail on the head: "It's not worth the risk." Not to anyone's freedom and not to our ability to produce and distribute NECESSARY TREATMENTS to sufferers of this horrible affliction. If NatGeo's price to publicize our cause is the public exposure of anyone's unjustly criminal activities, phuckem! Ron

*BUSTING INSTRUCTIONS* and info for Newcomers
Bonkers replied to Dallas Denny's topic in General Board
You did good, my friend. Maybe if I'd met you 40 years ago, my life wouldn't be so disorganized. Love, Ron -
Stevil, He takes 120mg Methadone/day in 10mg tablets when it's bad. About 60mg when not so bad. Ron
-
Hi Stevil, My 26-year-old son, Michael, also has a constant HA. We've come to the conclusion that he has chronic migraine and chronic CH. He was episodic CH with no migraine until an MVA about 6 years ago turned the CH chronic and brought on the migraine. A 1/2 dose of LSD about 1-1/2 years ago gave him 5 full days of complete relief. A few months later we found ClusterHeadaches.com (http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard2/index.html) and then this site. The former is devoted more toward traditional (i.e. legal) remedies while this site leans more toward the alternative ones like the psychedelics, both legal and illegal. You'll need to do quite a bit of reading to bring yourself up to speed on the current science of CH. Most of what you'll need to learn you'll find in the ClusterBuster Files you can access via the Forum Jump at the bottom of the page. I'll suggest that you also watch the following video of a talk given by our fearless leader Bob wold: Good luck and welcome to our forum. Ron

Congratulations, Hipshot - you're now a god. Way to go, girlfriend. Ronny

I haven't looked at the site in months, mainly because it never seemed to change. I was wrong. Lots of interesting, new information. Should be required reading. Maybe if some of us participated, our site could get some more recognition and some of their readers might be drawn to ClusterBusters. Ron

I'm excited about it! What if it turns out that raising body temperature a couple of degrees aborts clusters??? Kinda hard to do safely at home, but still... Good on you CHfather for taking the initiative.
-
Damn, Dude! You don't like to waste time, do ya? You'll have your bull (beast) on the ground in no time. Good on you! Ron
-
Thank you, kind sir.
-
Hi E'mon, It's great to see how aggressively you're taking the bull (many here call it the "beast") by the horns and you're being given awesome advise by those who have responded so far. The proper use of high-volume, oxygen hyperventilation has proven to be by far the best abortive anybody's come up with and probably the best place for you to start. HWBR seeds are very difficult to work with, almost impossible to judge the dose size of and are capable of producing such frightening hallucinations that you might be better off starting with RC seeds. Many here have had amazing results with them. Shrooms and LSD are the biggest guns we've got. They're very effective for about 3/4 of the CH population. They're also illegal. LSD is very hard to come by; shrooms not so much. Before investing the time and money in a mushroom garden, you might first see if you can find some to be sure they'll work for you. There's a lot of information here. The ClusterBuster Files probably contain as much, or more, information about treating CH with psychedelics, in one place, as any medical library in the country. Everyone here is anxious to help you so don't hesitate to ask questions about anything you're uncertain of. Welcome to the forum and good luck. Here's a video that might interest you: It's a talk given by our fearless leader and founder, Bob Wold. Ron

Hi Bob, Michael would be more than happy to be any of those "someone(s)." He's far to handsome - and vain - to do the blurred face thing though. I'll PM you for more details. Ron
-
Wise words, Jeff. Your post isn't too bad either, Bob.
-
Far out! Since you asked, I'm wearing that little lacy number you sent me (along with the edible undies, you bad boy). Ronny

If the seeds are working, order more. Increase the dosage to maybe 50 seeds, then 70. If you live near a Harbor Freight, you can buy a regulator for $30-$50 that will give you all the volume you can use. Most folks here use 25-45LPM to abort. So sorry about your Dad. It's gotta be really tough to be a good daughter to him while dealing with these damn CHs. Everyone here is pulling for you. Your Dad is very lucky to have you.

BVI = British Virgin Islands. I had to look it up.
-
I wouldn't worry too much about your daughter's sense of compassion. That shown to her by her father at a time when she was in total distress won't be forgotten. With a father like you, I don't imagine she'll turn out too bad. My son is still very self-centered and, as much as I've tried to get him to, won't spend any time on the board. He says that when he's got a HA, he can't; and when he's PF, doesn't even want to think about it. Hard to blame him. When we finally get this thing under control, I'm confident that his sense of gratitude will kick in and he'll become a strong, contributing member.
-
So who's for setting up a "meet-and-greet?"
-
Hi CHfather, I understand your anger toward those who've come in pain, found relief and disappeared. More than anything, I think I'm sad for them. This is one place where almost anyone who wants to can ease the pain of others. And I think that, more than anything, is our purpose here - if there is any purpose at all. The number of people who've read your posts and learned from them or been comforted by them - or who will in the future - is, I'm sure, huge. Just in the short time you've been here. You know that you're both needed and appreciated. They would be too - if they'd stayed. Maybe you're just a little smarter about how the world works than they are. Thanks for staying, my friend. Ron

Particularly one with a lump in it.
