  1. I filled the script for the Warfarin and Mike took the 1st dose a little while ago. He's going to take 2.0mg/day till he sees the Doc and gets some blood tests. Away we go; crossing fingers and toes. Btw, the script cost less than $10 for a 30-day supply. Ron p.s. - Danny, every time I see your cute little avatar, I get moist. Can't help it. You are SO adorable!
  2. Thanks you guys. Almost took him to the ER this AM. Changed his mind just as I finished getting ready to go. I filled the script for the Warfarin and he took his 1st dose. Like everything else he's tried, we sure do hope it works. He's continuing with the Licorice tincture, Scullcap and Valerian. His head hurts so bad that he doesn't even notice the withdrawal. Right now, we're just taking it minute by minute. Ron
  3. Jerry, you're an amazing man. What a kind, thoughtful, caring thing for you to do. You represent the best in all of us. Michael's in bed and probably will be for most of the week. I'll post regularly to let everyone know how he's doing. Thanks everyone for your support of my son. It means more than you can imagine to both of us. We're going to follow Les Genser's recommendations for herbal help. I'm following up with his doctor and may try Warfarin. Your kind well-wishing helps more, I believe, than we imagine. My heartfelt thanks to you all. Btw, Michael was a crazy little kid. In light of that, we nicknamed him "Bonkers." It stuck (at least in the family). I appropriated it as my screen-name but it's really him. I'm just Ron. Thanks all, Ron
  4. Mikes doctor OFFERED to write mike the necessary Rx's after I emailed him a copy of the abstract. If, after withdrawal from the Methadone, Michael still can't bust with the psychedelics, we'll take him up on it.
  5. Sorry: The Silk Road is currently closed to new visitors. This will be reviewed on July 1st and the site will possibly be reopened. Sorry for the inconvenience What a drag.
  6. Everybody remembers the first one. Michael was 12 years old. He was walking down the hallway when wham!, for no apparent reason, like someone hit him over the head with a sledge hammer, knocking him to the ground, scaring the hell out of him and the rest of us. Too bad it wasn't the last one.

    Neurontin

Neurontin=Lyrica=Gabapentin. For most, the drug does little to help with CH. It didn't work for my kid. Don't take it while you're trying to bust. AO wisely suggested to you that "i have a hard time seeing anyone with obtaining success straddling the fence of alternatives and a doctor. need to pick a route, the other road is always still there if you dont like the scenery" Ron
  8. Wow! Thanks DG. Now I know you like me. And, you know why I've got a crush on you. Beautiful poem. As are your kind words. Derek and your tribe of kiddies are so fortunate to have you to love and share their lives with. That gives me an idea: How about you adopt me? Huh? Whadaya say? Ron
  9. Hi Zac, Welcome to the board. Glad you found us. Sorry you had the need. You've been given very good advice. I would only add an emphasis to the recommendation that you get an oxygen set-up. The gray menu tab at the upper left of this page contains a button for the CH.com Oxygen Page. It's important, very important, that you read and follow through with this information. Hyperventilating oxygen through a non-rebreather mask has proven to be the best abortive for the most people that has yet been found. You'll need to lease a tank, buy a mask and a regulator that supplies at least 25 lpm. I promise you'll be amazed at how well it works. Well... maybe that's not quite true. For a very few people, including my son, it doesn't work. For most though, it's a life-saver. Good luck! Ron
  10. Thanks Danny. I only lied to you soz I could have my way with you. Next time I won't be so rough. And... you can be on top. Ron
  11. Thanks you guys. I guess I'm now officially an old man. I'm so glad.
  12. Sooo glad "buffes" aren't a trigger for you. And you've been PF for how long now? Damn, girl! You are totally cool!
  13. You might also have her try Trazadone. It's a cheap, safe, old-time anti-depressant, prescribed off-label to me by 3 different doctors for sleeplessness. For me, it works as well as Ambien-CR and I alternate between the two to avoid developing a dependency. If I'm really amped up and need to get to sleep, I'll take 2 or a combo with Ambien. Shouldn't be taken with other anti-depressants.
  14. Look into Skullcap tincture (45 drops 3x daily) as an aid to withdrawal. Advise comes from someone who should know but untried by us. Good luck. Addiction/withdrawal totally sucks! Ron
  15. Until your daughter is using something besides RC seeds to fight her HA's, I would limit her use of them to that. We were advised to try Valerian as a sleep aid but to be cautious initially because for some it has the opposite effect. She'll become habituated to any sleep aid that she uses nightly. Maybe find a few things that are effective and alternate. I've also had trouble relaxing enough to get to sleep and currently take an Ambien CR one night and a Trazadone the next. Might help to ask at a health-food store what they'd recommend and see which of them she could take in combination. Ron
  16. Good luck busting. Read as much as you can about the process beforehand. You want to be as clean of other drugs as possible to assure the best results. If you're inexperienced with the shrooms, start with about 1.5g cracker-dry. Your shrooms are 90% water so your dose might require more fresh shrooms than you expect. Stick around to ask questions and please report back on your bust. Welcome to the forum. Ron
  17. You have to experiment. .75 may be just as good - for YOU.
  18. Someone not on your list, someone as deserving as any, who devotes so much time skillfully helping others learn to help themselves, is you Mr. Bejeeber. A few other glaring omissions to your list are my brother from another mother, Dallas Denny, Alleyoop and Agentorange. Thanks, Jeebs, for all you do. Ron
  19. My son never did get the O2 to work. Tried everything: the right mask, demand valve, personal instruction from the pros, the works. Nothing worked. That's true for very, very few people. The OptiMask will make an enormous difference, you'll see. It may take a while, but you'll find something or some combination of things that will work for you both to prevent and abort your HA's. If and when that/they stop(s) working, you'll find another. You're in the right place. Read as much as you can. You're gonna be fine. For sure.
  20. Hi Fireface, This will tell you a bit about BOL: http://www.entheogencorp.com/chemistry/ You'll find other short articles on the same site provide more information. Nice having you here. Hope you stick around. Ron
  21. Well said. Now we all have to love you forever.
  22. They tried twice with my son when he was getting hit often enough that they thought they might be able to scan him during an attack. Both times there was just no way he could keep still long enough while he was in the machine. This could be VERY interesting. Ron
  23. I don't really pray, Scott, but I'm sending my most powerful healing vibes to your sister. When someone we love is suffering, in trouble or in danger, we suffer. So, I'm also sending some of those vibes to you. Your friend, Ron
