In this study u have proposed to do? It would be of utmost interest to delineate hazel eyes. U r looking at 1. Using colored glasses to manipulate melatonin 2. Rose colored vs yellow-green (is that puce???) 3. U r quieting down the occipitals via retinal activity. To see if that affects histamine which affects chas.? 4. I wld love to see some stats on eye colour. I just am left wondering if these glases of yelliw-green work best on hazel eyes? Worse on hazel eyes... wld pink help other eye colors? And working this experiment w blind ppl wld be fascinating (also cld track results on blind ppl w hazel eyes and other colors). Wld be curious if the color glasses (be they rose or grn.yellow) worked best on hazel eys? Or least on hazel eyes, wld it not matter? Does anyone on list work w a good Lions group? Or guide dogs for blind? Hazel eyes. Vit D3. Colored glasses. Vision..

18 thousand views on... diet. (Low histamine). 2 thousand views on..... D3 (& supps). How odd that what goes into our bodies - through our mouths - are viewed so extremely often? I believe its pretty important to eat. Dont stop eating. Im not sure why? But i think its real important to simply eat, whatever u want. But just keep eating. Feed the machine - it takes a lot of calories to keep ur brain thinking. Coffee and scrambled eggs? Helps me sleep. -

Sometimes, imho, when things get bad and nothing sems to work? Well. I will throw everything and the kitchen sink at it when im stuck. Ive had doctors, veterinarians, researchers... tell me rptdly - one thing at a time. Hey, i getcha abt feeing desperate. But u have got to do what u got to do, as u feel ur way thru this chas enigma, deaf dumb and blind. I see things, sometimes, differently... than others. I almost view it as a diagnostic, that people w chas? Become so o/c as regards supps, h2o every 30 minutes, write down times temp storms foods drinks drgs air freshner exposures... etc... and to be honest? Isnt that - mmm- weird? I think yes. Something happens to our brain chemistry and we totally fall into obsessive compulsive mentality and behaviors. Its dx & sx of chas. I can tell when im doing better because i stop the journaling of every detail. And if the chas come at 8 or 9 or 11 p.m.? Then just roll w it and stay up all nite and sleep during the day. Why fight so hard? ( ahem... not that thats what i tend to do, but...) I think *if u don't find any +s to D3 supps? Take the burden off? Dont take em. If u want to eat something? Eat it. Be happy all u can be. I simply 100% do .not. ascribe to the triggers theory. To me? The urge to eat those things? And then get slammed w chas? Means ur brain or ur body was trying real hard to tell u what it needed or wanted - if chas was end result? Think it thru... it doesnt necessarily follow that what u ate triggered the chas. Try thinking abt this whole enchilada from a completely different perspective. And? Pls? Dont smash ur thinking against the cement wall of "how things SHOULD be." Its like med ppl who r damned to h* for giving u SSRI after SSRI ... because thats the thing to do. Thats the sauce of serotonin. Theres a completely different sauce called msg - chinese food, ketamine, big juicy hamburgers w taurine naturally. And if that doesn't help? Try another avenue. Imitrex? Try the BAD theory? = benedryl, atavan & dexamethasone. (atavan is viewed as a system stabilizer, bndryl is for histamine, dexameth is steroid- kinda like pred.) Meditate & envision hot hands? Ive recently found Monster Get to a hot mineral pool and sit in the hot **MINERAL** water and let ur body absorb the minerals - naturally. When my body has absorbed enuff? I get out.. first few days ill sit and walk and swim for abt 3 hours each day. Next few days im in there for cpl hours. Then it finally goes down to abt 20 30 minutes. Try different things. But make life easy for urself, please. Theres a lot of tips here. I am still dumbfounded abt the connection between msg and ketamine. Thinkin on that one real hard start reading... and journal all the various tips. Sip ice water thru straw, 8 oz/30 min. Turn on air condit and inhale cold. O2. The source of ur chas may simply be something else (pcc, pgg to toss out 2 strange ones). We talk here abt blows to head and falls, horses, figure skating, hockey, dna, epigenetic, autoimmune, colored glasses.... And u rly do want to chase dwn a definitive dx. Make sure its not plain old brain cancer But try to be happy? On another list? I saw advise to new guy? -Get out of the house.- asap when u wake up. Try walking them off. Some folks get into that. Its not unhealthy if 1 thing doesnt work? Try try something else. Go on vaca to hot min pool. One thats open late at nite to suit ur new hours And? Hang in there. -
If u had a doctor with that special machine to make colored lenses? I dont see why people who signed up? Couldn't just order their glasses thru the mail/fedex? Doctors work together. Many med rpts r written up and r done in conjunction w clinics, hospitals, etc.. that r not always close or affiliated other than for a specific study. Someone who could tabulate on computer the emailed results? Would make this super easy to do.... and a person to type it up and submit it? Wouldn't be so tough, not going to be huge expenses involved, no specialized microscopes, no monstrous expensive machinery, or custom designed drugs, very tiny overhead so if they got grant monies? It cld pretty much go into salary. Specialists usually love these quick and easy experiments. Its a way to publish fast and dirty. And it IS publish or perish, still. Med community should jump at the chance to do this. I would aim the energy towards a teaching hospital? Harvard? Yale? You will want a younger doc, someone w an interest somehow in the field of vision, brain chemistry, migraines, (ok... chas). Harvard and Yale? You already have contacts there. I would reach out to them w a written proposal outlining in rough, what u want? And see *if they might give this to a subordinate young doctor who wants to get his name out there, and wld therefore work under supervision of older doc.... To be honest? I don't believe you would even need anyone to "conduct" this. Y'all here could simply devise the program and institute it. Use a simple questionnaire. Tabulate results? And publish the damned thing. Its not that hard. And you already have credibility built in, due to previous past experiments. These r reading glasses- not controlled substances, right? Just remember? KISS In my humble opinion.

There were studies done. Abt staring into a green light on a completely dark room - for like? 3 hours? I remember it said they were bored to tesrs sitting and staring into the green lite. It was to ameliorate migraines? headaches? Ill look for it... and the study concluded it helped. One was done at harvard , another at a texas hospital, another st univ of arizona. W reduction of 50% of headaches.... appatently theres litersture abt it. The green light resets circadian rhythm by way of melatonin. They said shining blue light into blind people's eyes while they had a migraine? Made their pain increase... one researcher said gis brother complained alot abt headaches. He told brother take some ibuprofen. Brother said, no. Ill just go sit in the trees for awhile till i fell better. Gotta admire the way our human brains work things out

Here! Here! I heartily agree!! So many drugs thrown at me. So many bad rxns. Such a weird deal. Hardly anyone understands it. Its pretty horrendous. Jailed? Mhh's? Its a special little nightmare. i agree- its so good its not a drug. And if it ends up being an oddity that pink helps some ppl? And yellow.green helps few others? Its just another modality to add to the bag of trix to turn to for help. Slows down the frustration when u have options s available.

I fell off a horse in chile. Long story. Down there u either lived or died. I had internal bleeding from a ruptured spleen. I was bleeding out for abt a week before i arrived at santiago. I obviously lived. Back in states, my mom took me to be examined at U if Mich teaching hospital. The doc looked at my xrays n doc rpts? And checked me out w okay to ice skate and fall and asked if he cld publish this ONE example of a natural medical recovery? My.mom said yes. Ive argued w a few docs who refused to believe me when i said i ruptured my spleen n no surgery. They said, oh u wld have died then... u just got the breath knocked out of u. I said no, i ruptured my spleen and lived. This came serendipitously, at a time when modern medicine was moving slowly towards a more holistic tx of a person. (Think of bark to bottle? 30 yrs for taxol...) On the basis of that ONE peer reviewed published article, abt ONE yng girl who recovered naturally?- Its now standard tx for yng ppl who rupture their spleens to recover w.out surgery. my neice was one who bruised her spleen (20 yrs after me) and w hosp rest she was okay, no surgery.

What i gleaned from this article was that ketamine (2017/8) worked on glutamate pathways in the brain. Thrust of article was that prozac and/or talk therapy takes a very long time - and they lose a lot of patients to suicide before those modalities become effective. Ketamine was seen as a fast, quick n easy method to tx depression to avoid losing souls. There were 3 drawbacks: 1. Can cause hallucinations 2. Can cause cystitis 3. Can cause hallucinations. 1 e.r. doc said its so safe, they use it in anesthesia for children, so it should be a viable rx for depression - as he put it? Otherwise, we put severly depressed suicidal people in paper suits and physical restraints, padded room, and leave them all alone in a room crying... until psych management can get to them... they viewed ketamine as good because it did not work on the serotonin pathway. Ketamine worked on the glutamate pathways. Cell signaling? its rather an insanely complex system of + and - feedback loops. I can maybe see how the chas cld mutate so as to avoid a previously successful tx. Article, again 2018-so old, that ketamine also appeared to incompletely hook into some receptors and that increased brain plasticity. That "plasticity"? Could be part of why a tx works for awhile.... then doesn't. Iow? A receptor issue. I was intetested in serotonin vs glutamate, and the ketamine-glutamate connection. Msg helps me, but its a chas trigger for others. See? Ive always seen the cravings for hard cheddar cheese, red wine, chinese food, etc... not as triggers? But I've always seen them as prodomal sx. I think labels, words, tend to lead us down some wrong roads, at times. As others have said? Its almost wrong to call these headaches. U tell others cluster headaches and they simply think of headaches. Labels. Words. Boxes we put ideas in. To label it is to put forth ownership of it. And that can be to our detriment. So glad tho, to see medical knowledge moving slowly away from serotonin as THE answer to psych issues and depression. Brain chemistry is far more complex than that. Having said that? Ketamine is not the simple slap on bandaid cure some see it as. Difficult dealing w medical issues when theres not much knowledge abt it.

As an interesting aside? I met a young girl one day looking for agates on the yellowsrone river. She told me she has a learning disability. Whenever she reads printed work, her mind can only see the areas where theres spaces after the periods and she sees the page as a map of short or long lines created by those spaces. The cure is to lay ovet a pink clear peice of lightweight plastic ontop of the printed page. Then her brain sees the words and not the geometric pattetn created by spaces after periods. For what its worth. And lets just lay this to rest before anyone starts having palpitations - i was not very good at finding agates.. it was an interesting diversion for a few years. My dad started me on rocks. Nice hobby cause u can walk away from it for decades and go back if n when u choose to. I dont even have any agates now. What i lived the most? Mud rocks. Some banded jasper. I rly didnt have but maybe 3 small quality peices and theyre w my son now. It was fun tho

The tinted glasses.... the D3.... both seem to have relationship to CHAS & (sunl)ight). Interesting. -
My history is... long and complex. I used to have has everyday on bus ride home from school. They left like sr year h.s. so 1969... and i injured my low back in 1980? And develoed migraines.. classical presentation. They got worse.. i had undx hypothyroidusm and fms, which didnt exist then. Gained 200 lbs before got correct dx and on thy meds 1990. I started getting weird (begin of chas) and used sm peices of liothyrinine and lorazapm to slow and stop them. Rpt as needed. It worked for 10 years. Went thru murder attempt + associated harassment. Moved a lot, toured our grt country then had to chsnge protocol as pain was worse. Came home to more harassment, took stuff to my son, got drugged n raped n into psych hosp hecause i was on verge of thyroid storm. chas were coming on bad but i didnt understand. Went thru hell when my nurse & doc arrested me because i was screeching abt pain. Had to find new doc n he got me alot of meds, botox, and i had to go off thy meds, id gone hyper. Started workingbout swimming, more hot min pools, yoga, eeights. Doing well. But chas now had label and wete serious. Id say last 8, 9 months they have gotten better. Sleep is still off, but that pain? Its going away... yes. Going away on vaca helps chas. But they eventually catch up to u have had em in copper harbir, minnesota up by canoe bndry waters, wisc where i heard a loon, washington, up the lostine river valley - most besutiful place ever, in arizona, got a doozy when i went to canada (every 4 hrs id awaken and my little blue heeler and my dobe wete right outside my trk- more rx n slp n while i was out? The rcmp followed my 2 4legged banditos @ the campgrnd as they visited each & every site illinois, indiana, n cali, and kentucky (♡lexington), my fav montana, n wyoming, utah, nebraska, the lovely dakotas, rapid. U can run? But those chas will catch up to u no matter how far or how fast u go. Grizzley bears? Wolves surrounded the tent 1 nite in n wisc? Rattlers? Spiders? Crooks and- in n out of 10 fed ops one summer? No problema.. but the chas!!! So in last 8, 9 months? They rly have slowly gotten better. Are they leaving - for good? I can only hope so. Been rough go since 2002. Im a give me lemons and id make lemonaid kinda girl. Chas tanked college destroyed my life blue heeler was poisoned to death been alotta bad along the way. I learned a lot.

Maybe because u work all day w the computers? Occasional computer screening might be helped? But long term would be too much for the minimal good effect to be noticed? Maybe? Guessing here....
-
I seem to be doing better across the board. All sx better or gone.
-
Diving and altitude issues on the old site, ioriginally brought me here. Frequently when id go into a bad chas, i would go to higher elevation mountain wise. Overall it seemed to help my old chas. Just not getting them as bad at all now. Sleep is resolving also. So im pretty much good to go lately. All sx better

Looked it up. Apparently those w migraines, and i believe we're all on a headache continuum, have "hypetexcitability of the occipital areas". So, yes the leap wld be thats how/why polarized helps migraineurs and it wld also help chas. I dont know how much it would help.... but every little bit....
-
Respectfully? How wld polarized help chas?

Wendy rieger. Recently retired Washington d.c. t.v. news reporter. Pink tinted glasses post brain tumor surgery to help w migraines.
-
Pink. Pink colored lens in glasses. Pink. Not so.much rose. I should've been more precise. She wore glasses w pink lens after her brain surgery to remove tumor - ostensibly to alleviate migraines. Pink. Pink.

You guys on this site do ONE thing absolutely right. You try to stop the suicides. So far? I have to say thats a great accomplishement. To not become inured to others suffering? You deserve - all of you on here - a pat on the back. Not simple or easy during these days... thank you. Thanx to all of you for your kindnesses. -
Saw on newspaper online.. maybe washo or nyt? But they showed picture of lady who had brain surgery... and she now wears rose tinted glasses all the time - to mediate her headaches. Saw pic n read abt in last 10 days. So other specialists have seen, noted, and utilised it - successfully. Also? Read green light is supposed to help migraines. U r supposed to stare into the light source for few hours ata time. Tried it dec-jan 2020-3021 ot absolutely did not help me. I prefer soft lighting.. and prefer blue to green lightd. Blue did seem make my chas seem worse. Havent tried pink lightbulbs - yet. My dad who didnt have migraines? But did have timmitis bad when he was older? Swore sunglasses were important during daytime and he wire yellow glasses for night driving. My mom had occasional bad "sinus" headaches - a few when in mid 20s. Then again? My ha's r resolving... slowly but surely. So being ever hopeful? May not need anything except regular lightbulbs....
-
Apparently ketamine works on selective glutamate receptors... similarly as how msg works? Found nyt article but i cant manage to get the link to transfer to here. Article is:"can we stop suicides" 2018. Its rather interesting. I find the startling similarity to msg VERY interesting. In a positive way... if someone cld volunteer an email? I can send the link that way to an email? Or if someone cld dwnload it onto here for others to read? It cld be most helpful.. thanx

Midwest. In Colorado? But ne corner. Think ogallala, nebr but back sw by 50 miles.

I have also chased down that low-histamine path.... w.out knowing exactly what i was doing. I found fresh prepared food and organic to be helpful. I threw out the benedryl every 2 hours routine cple yrs back. Now i take larger doses when i want to sleep along w high protein right before bedtime. Thinking along lines of inducing a temporary ketogenic diet effect to help sleep. It works okay...usually....kinda...works. i also use robaxin and lorazapam to sleep and baclofen. My chas are fading (darned if I know exactly why? But thats how it is) but sleep im still chasing after hard. Sleep is more slowly coming along. Im up from 30 min to 3 hrs... to a good 6, 7 hours en bloc. Being a ten hour a nite girl? Its barely adequate, but its mucho better to be honest. I try most of all to eat fresh n organic and intake water. I used to take all my vitamins & minerals every morning w a diet coke. Left them behind in like 2007.. Ive begun adding them back in at nite. And ive also begun utilising Monster drinks. Thanx here for corrupting me? I love.love.love Monster drinks. I can remember standing at a party one nite and handing out super B vitamins to all the guys. As in? U gotta take these- theyre great stuff back in 1987ish... so, ive known i needed alot of B, for a long time. Ive basically lived on high protein since ohhh maybe like ~50 years? Knew i needed manganese for abt 45 yrs also since shinn splints started in college and tx was to walk backwards and drink original gatoraid (it had manganese) and rest w no running till completely gone. So i came into adulthood realising i needed hi protein, manganese and not too long after also needed B vitamins (i was running and lifting a LOT at that time in attempt to curtail injuries. Yes, it worked.). I just grew up knowing i needed minerals. I use guai to reverse fms - it works. And so i often toss down calcium pills after i eat because it binds to the phosphates and for me? W fms? Phosphates are the problem. Okay.. one of my body's problems. Heres a puzzler for u. I react to apparently the fillers in most drugs. But 'they' say that guai and robaxin - if u rotate the molecule/s in space? Exactly resemble each other except the methocarbamol has an added methol group (it may be that it has an extra carbamol group.. but im thinking its the methol group.). Why wld my fms chas body do so well on robaxin AND guai? Pretty necessary.... i simply dont have the answer for that phenomenon.
