Here is what I can recall w/o being scientific, and FYI if I can purchase it in powder, I do. The bioavailability and absorption are superior and with those macro and micro’s that have propensities to cause the Hershey Squirts, it seems to lessen the explosion. Magnesium Glycinate bound with glycine is a non-essential amino acid, very bioavailable and the least likely to cause the trots. Magnesium Chloride has a magnificent absorption rate and is the best form for detoxing the cells and tissues. It can boost metabolism. Magnesium Oxide is the most common form sold and the worst form sold. It is not chelated and has a piss poor absorption rate. You will be the principal investor in Immodium. Magnesium Glutamate and Magnesium Aspartate if you don't recognize them, are neurotoxins from Aspartame. I hope you understand the brain damage proven by neuroimaging that that shit causes. Avoid it. Magnesium Taurate is great for those with Cardiovascular complications, has no laxative properties, and is easily absorbed. Magnesium Citrate is one of the most popular because it is inexpensive and readily absorbed. Citric acid is a mild laxative used as a constipation aid, making it unsuitable for those with loose bowel movements. I have heard of some Functional Medicine approaches to take Magnesium to the bowel (saturation). The issue is, that even if you stop for five days, you still need the loperamide. Next, your serum (blood) level should be 1.7 to 2.3, I think toxicity would require something insane as 4g to 5g per day. Most seem to follow 800mg at the bed, possibly 400mg during a panic attack, and 400mg each half-hour to an hour during a migraine. If I could afford it, I would get an IV Magnesium treatment during my 5-day migraines (it works). If you feel lethargic, experience depression, facial flushing (not from nicotinic acid) and have an irregular heartbeat you need to back off. Magnesium Carbonate, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium gluconate, and Magnesium Oxide are the most likely to cause an OD/Toxicity. If you can't piss that is a red flag. Urinary Retention. I hope this makes sense, I can't remember much.1 point

Okay, this may be glam metal but it tells a dark story that is all too familiar to me. And, they were local, Hagerstown. Well, Western MD (close enough).1 point

Agree, and it is case-by-case, and why I said some. In my case, if I do much as start taking the famous 500mg of APAP and 800mg Ibuprofen protocol that can set the path to chronic. Keterolac definitely does, add DHE and I am screwed. Honestly, can’t speak for Tripitans (automatic serotonin syndrome and allergic reaction). The same thing happens with the analgesics for chronic pain, on rare occasions I will take one, but not to the extent that I used to. I won't go there. Even some of the prophylactic I question, but I am most likely a freak of nature. It doesn't seem odd that when I fired my headache specialist, quite all but a Calcium Channel, and doctored myself, that in due time things got drastically better.1 point

Even I have limitations (with Orthomolecular approaches). It’s called copious amounts of Lithium ER, never use Lithium or else you will be up all night pissing. And, the extend tends to prevent renal failure, which seldom occurs unless your Psych NP doesn’t understand how to run a Lithium Clinic. And Lamotrigine (Lamictal). The latter is an anti epileptic that they discovered worked far better as an antidepressant. I know first hand and advise everyone to stay away from MAOI, SSRI, SSNRI, and Tricyclics. Also stay away from the novel Atypical that aren’t really atypical (Abilify and Latuda). I won’t drag it out, all are proven to cause chronic, deep depression in any type of Bipolar spectrum. The evidence is starting to support it for Clinical Depression. If you cut, slash your wrists, mutilate, any type of self-harm, surprisingly “Dopamax” Toprimate (Topamax) works quite well. I admit to serious self-harm by suicide and it stoped overnight. I have known cutters and those when shaving that cut, they stopped overnight. I thought I would mention in case anyone suffers in silence as they don’t have to. If you recognize Topamax, if patient, and you know what to take to counter the cognitive deficits, it works damn well for headaches. AGAIN, it took me two years, however, and a TON of tinkering. I also made drastic changes to my diet and nutrients. Finally, don't feel defeated and find a good therapist. Nothing fancy, CBT, Rational Emotive, Interpersonal, Rogerian, all help. It comes down to what will help you. I won't see a therapist that is dogmatic, stuck to one approach. My therapist, for example, employs DBT, ISPRT, Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, CBT, ACT, Transference, and Schema. My point, if they say “ most only need a few months, I use therapy X” RUN LIKE HELL. They most likely have some fancy office and charge $200 an hour, I know those types. The best ones are D.A.P.A. and in their 60s, as they trained in the 70s (appears the golden era), and take cash/work under the table. You can try EMDR, it is all the rage, if rich enough. It was designed for Trauma victims, and I know a few that practice and use it to help with Migraines, Depression, hell they are experimenting on about everything. It's a much quicker approach if you hate talking. Around here, plan on forking over $250 for a 1/2 hour, no insurance. If you don't risk psychosis and hallucinations, I can't believe that I am saying this, get a weed card, put on some Bob Marley toke on a number and drown it out. Hell, I wish. I wig out and can’t. That is my reason. I don’t advise everyday, there is evidence of creating depression from that. But there is nothing wrong with a fatty once in awhile. You are in a state that allows that, as am I, well 3/8 of an O. I don’t suggest a good bottle of Red. That is the worst idea, and I hope that this helps.1 point

Precisely. I would have been shipped in 2003 to Afghanistan, USMC (aspiring Recon), psych didn't work and I don't mind blasting. Yet, I could work high level in other (that I can’t blast). Anyway, we all need to get a fat doobie, blast Bob Marley, make love and not war. I went to University and won’t provide am eloquent answer. That is my best one.1 point

I love the prior posts, and I will be nailed, as I have been up all night (not good). Sleep disruptions cause massive attacks. I'm not certain of how long your battles began, but for each of us, it is a lifelong journey. Mine began a decade ago, and I managed to go from intractable to episodic through extensive research and experimentation. Sleep disruption, Circadian Rythm, go hand-in-hand with CH. If you have affective disorders, it is a double whammy. Then add a personality disorder and you get hit again. Although our healthcare systems are different, neither deliver promising results. I do have some understanding as my sister married a Brit. I'm trying to prevent from incriminating myself. Good luck, don't become frustrated, a door always opens when one closes, and I think you have some access to vitamins and supplements across the pond. Your regulatory bodies are much more restrictive. For example, Hypericum is a drug in the UK, but an herb in the US. I'm not able to “react” but am listening to all. I don't know if you liked Enino maricon but I posted a famous composition of his.1 point

I can't react for some reason but thank you. You just saved me a fortune. I was tempted to piss away a small fortune on Dr. Amen’s version, as it is well tested. Now I know that the PS from Now Foods will suffice.1 point

Last set and I have required reading This Psychedelic Furs song has helped me overcome some dark places. I was never much for Corporate radio, American. Most of the stuff that influenced me came from across the pond. The American stuff not played was great. Country music, to some extent, was a different story. Anyway, I will just post. Ian Curtis was way ahead of the curve, effing genius. Can't forget Morrisey1 point

Anytime, no problem, I had to upload some pictures on a file server, and then host them. We aren't allowed to upload but tiny pictures and so it took me a few minutes. The pills are substantial, and you do need to take 2 of them. I'm used to it, but for many, it is a no-go. I take two pills, twice a day. You won't smell like fish or get the vile taste in your mouth either. That alone will make me purchase them. If anyone has questions I will do my best to answer, as I have been learning for a decade (myself).1 point
