Putting spikes in the road will slow a truck but it still runs. Gotta admit the fella has led a lot of very impressive work in defining CH however. Certainly has a clearer picture than most of what CH is. "GODsby" I like that, says it all for so many believe it. Wonder why he doesnt pursue research into the single most affective treatment there is for so many of us. He has the tools and the budget available. Maybe he doesnt have the control.

Made my CH worse as well. Just think of level 10 CH in a dense fog on the side of a cliff. Could have been worse I suppose. Others swear by it to avoid night hits. All your other symptoms suggest this and a kwik read of the literature suggests so as well. The two shouldnt be mixed doesnt go with CBs. Birdman your thread just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time. My Rant; Many folks look for the easy way to kill CH but wont go the reccomended route laid out on the CB site where they have compiled many years of experience and knowledge through some of the brighter minds I have seen. The mixing of some drugs with CBs can cause extreme issues and even death. Sure a small minority of us have been able to break CH while using other more dangerous prescribed medications. Seems verapamil may be a non issue, methadone maybe. Probably 95% percent of all other RX and OC drugs have the potential when mixed with CBs to render the treatments ineffective and in some cases like immitrex and other tryptans can cause serotonin syndrome and even death. Quite a few of us including myself have strayed far from the reccomended dosing procedures and have had to find our own way. That falls into the we are all different category. I would suggest that anyone using these treatments at the least study and inform yourselves on the interactions between drugs how they work and how they can cause harm. Otherwise we are just playing russian roulette, win some, lose some. If your not willing to go the 15 yards then we are no better than before with the doctors and blindly following.There are no doctors to legally guide us in the US. Though they should be there for the do no harm part of the oath. The choice should be made to committ to one or the other treatments (RX or CBs) or most will be severely disapointed, some will be hospitalized and some may be buried. The CB treatments (LSD,LSA,Psilocibin) on their own are completely harmless for 98% of us and have no lasting affects other than knocking back CH. Though seeds have other chemicals in them as well. Worse the numbers for success rates begin to drop and soon this best CH treatment ever discovered gets blasted as an also ran. Sorry if this offends anyone. Todays dose and up all night made me feel like saying something.

The articles you posted open up new avenues for pain and understanding. #1 the fact that something very usefull may come incidentally from the DBS inserts and mentallity of just Zap the neural signals or cns system untill it responds. Brute force vs. gentle fondling. #2 these recordings of frequency modulation really were not fully possible prior to DBS without inserting probes deep into the brain short of PET scans and their limitations. #3 Theoretically these recent (last few years) chanced on frequency oscillations/variations may help to explain why not only hallucinogenics but other stimulants ie; caffeine, cocaine, methamphetamines, energy drinks etc... may help with calming CH. The world within the synapses and beyond serotonin. #4 The potential of new research that opens based on this is huge as the articles you posted and a search on G scholar shows the interest building. #5 As one involved hands on in frequency and digital control modulation in motor control and all things movable and controllable along with infinate state reporting of systems and equipment, energy management and what is being done in this area separate from bio systems makes this intriquing. The potential for bio engineering where several of my mates work and play is huge. #6 the idea of DBS never being understood as to why it works has allways turned me off but a reversal from zapping (kicking the dog) to controlling or modifying an understandable and identifiable frequency behavior through better chemicals and digital control starts to makes sense. The potential future of man. How that can be done in the brain is beyond me but sounds like it deserves further discussion among those who can theorize in this area. Thanks shocked. I hadnt seen or heard of that one before but makes some sense. I am far from informed on this but I think I heard normal brain frequencies run in the 7-12 HZ range and above that is considered to be the frequencies of extreme relaxation. Those periods are often associated with an attack onset. 20HZ would be a fight response against sleep. Many of us have noted short periods of extreme exhaustion before an attack or in periods just prior. Interesting way to measure a jump in the brains own electrical frequency with the stimulator electrodes as the reciever that were designed to input their own currents. Maybe some of those many who have the implants not helping would want to hook up some potential meters for better clarification and analysis during attacks. Frequency modulation or occilation in a clusterhead- something for the engineer types to mull over. A faulty electro chemical frequency modulation circuit? Are the alternates providing that correction? A review of some earlier research on the effects of phsycadelics, may reveal something profound from what we allready know, who knows. Maybe more than a receptor issue. Maybe an input or absorption beyond the receptors. Just thoughts.

I have read / heard mention before of these skipping a generation to occur in the descendents There has been mention of my paternal grandmother having excruciating pacing type headaches. She and all her children have gone so cant verify. I have 7 siblings and none have CH other than myself. One of my sons has developed severe headaches a few years back that sound similar of CH which I have not yet witnessed. His description is close to CH. Hopefully something else. They come and then gone. He's too busy like most at 21 to get them checked out I have had these 35 years since 17. the year prior to onset was laid up for a month with severe neck injuries. Coincidence, dont know, but I'm sure most of us try to reason the cause. Maybe its genetic. Maybe an injury. Maybe its just fate.

Unless your holding LSD or shrooms in a police station : Untill someone puts these meds in a controlled dose pill form specifically for CH and migraine headaches and gets it past the FDA the battle will continue. Then we need to have a pharma company happy with a measly 100 million dollar market. Untill then we go with what nature provides wich aint so bad for the time being. I have some experience with electrical hazards and response. Even worse I have been knocked around with 480 volt many times out of lack of respect for my surroundings. And have seen an arc flash occur at 7600 volts less than 20 feet from me and the resulting burns on another. All of these incidences have been very fortunate to have no lasting damage For those who dont know, electrocution or beyond a shock can occur at any time a circuit exceeds 10 amperes as a rule and at most any voltage. Below that amps or current draw one can generally let go of the circuit called a let go current. Majority of shock hazards occur below the brain and simply dissipate into the ground the person becomes the conduit. Burns, heart palpitations etc are the general symptoms and death can occur. Above the let go currents or a sustained current in the body the bodys fats and muscle can heat up like an electric heater and with the high resistance in human tissue, like a heater, these body temps can reach very high temperatures. The CNS can become overwhelmed and short circuit. Especially when the point of contact is the head. Thought a quick summary in case anyone cared would be helpfull though by no means complete as there is much more to it than that. Many of the symptoms of electric shock are depression, cellular damage, muscle paralysis or injury, etc.etc... in a large percentage though misunderstood the neural net will often correct itself over time in many cases. DBS appears to operate on similar principals causing a reaction in the neural signals to or from the brain with a very low current. From what little I have read on the subject of Direct Brain Stimulation, depression, confusion and headache can be a major side effect of DBS when the method is used for other reasons such as movement disorders. The science as to how DBS works remains unexplained in full and still experimental though the theory sounds good. Brain Pain, Welcome to the site. Understanding that none of us are fully aware of your situation without more of your input we can only quess and make comments but its up to you to use or direct as you see fit. If your reading this and I were you (though I'm not) I would talk to the docs about trying a disconnect for a few days of the DBS and see if any advantages without the stimulation occur. Over time if no positive results have occured why continue with it. The knowledgable people here can help to reassess the situation and even possibly with your docs review help provide new insights. Like everyone else says we all are here for you at anytime day or night. Though responses may sometimes take a day or so. Many here have gone from the ultimates of frequent and extreme pain, similar to you, to being pain free. The owner of Bouncing Bear botanicals was arrested a week ago for distributing K2 a synthetic but currently legal pot alternative, as well as LSD like substances, lysergic acid amides, (LSA or Marigold, RC and HBWR seeds) Until the trial happens I am sure all the others selling seeds will tread very lightly untill the courts rule. Untill then CH relief for so many may not be so easy to achieve in the U.S. This may be a time for all of us to heartily speak up about our needs and send the message far and wide that a very solid natural supplement/medication has been found and literally changed so many lives, returned many to the workforce, reduced the level of needed and expensive medical care and given hope to so many that conventional RX could not help.Yet none have been harmed that I am aware of. There is a strong undercurrent underway to rid the world of many entheogenic compounds mostly through ignorance and very conservative and misled ideas to save the world. We as clusterbusters have a voice and unless we speak up it will be back to all them nasty drugs that never have stopped a CH cycle. If anyone can find the attorneys or judges name in the case we should submit letters of support for LSA and how LSA has changed our lives. Or perhaps someone could develop an online petition. Confining the attacks largely to the nightime hours, Reduced the hits from 10 or so to just 4 at night. Interestingly I am staying functional in the day time hours (In my opinion LOL) with only about 2 hours sleep at night with them as well. Warning dont chew these seeds. Proper cleaning and strained liquid only and they are fine. Take it from one who knows. I thought I was dying and missed the boat to heaven.

Methysergide worked for me many years ago for a short while then quit working. Recently the CB methods had failed me so being a bit desperate after a couple months of no sleep, a 4 year break and being a wussy, I found an old prescription from 1992 of sansert I had saved. Had enough for 3 weeks and it certainly helped a bit this time in reducing the intensity and recovery of the hits. Must have gotten better with age. Problem was that I got down to 3 days left and with a pharmacist friend searched high and low for someplace to get more or have it made in the U.S. but all conventional pharmacia paths could not find more. I guess the side effects caused enough issues that even Sandoz wont provide any more. I didnt pusue it any harder than that. May be available in other countries.

Absolutely for many and not for others. Its generally bright and reflected light of any kind. ie; reflected sunlight, bright indicator lights, oncoming headlights, intense flashing lights that sort of stuff. Sometimes the above light can just intensify the experience. Direct sunlight wont generally cause issues unless your staring at the sun or a vampire. My mate she's allways complaining about resetting clocks and the like after I unplugged them every night while being hit. So I started hanging all her kitchen cloths over them and now she goes looking for them every morn, with a smile though. Wish she'd leave them alone cause I just have to find them again. I bought a couple of those little netbook computers and ended up busting one when that bright blue stanby light started flashing at me at 4 am. No warranty they said. Its amazing how many of those damn lights exist if they affect you. There outa be a law.
