Well Summer's here and I know I'm doing a whole lot better, hope all episodic suffers who suffer through spring are seeing some improvement...And everyone else I wish you Pain Free Days. I have an observation though and wanted to see if this happens to anyone else or theirs some kind of connection. At the start and the climax ( Ha Ha Climax :-)) of my cycle I notice what seems like a massive allergic reaction for a week or so and then this terrible pain in the teeth on my upper jaw left side, which is my cluster side hits me for another week and then goes away. It's been doing this the last couple years???? But at least I know when it's coming and when it's wrapping up. Ripper

Trying to tough out the last days of Spring which have been tough sledding. With this crazy weather here in Colorado and my cycle winding down I've been going through an E tank a day at work. This is the same pattern I've seen the past springs and falls. I do preventive measuresand double down at the beginning of each of those seasons. I think it's coming close to finishing but as usual it goes out with a Bang. Come on Summer!!!

I take ativan and it helps me immensely. I take it about 20 minutes prior to medicating.

Left side clusters only Right handed I was diagnosed in 2009 and I'm episodic I've been having vivid dreams lately and I'm coming up on winter solstice. Nothing like the dreams I had on Chantix...those were seriously vivid. I have never had a head our neck injury but my first recollection of a headache as severe as a cluster was in college when I did way to many amphetamines and shut down cold turkey. I'll post after Dec. 21st with dream/cycle results.

Of the many things I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving, is finding this site and the Great people here. It has given me my life back. Thanks Cluster Busters

Hello All, My Fall cycle has started early...Hooray, and so far it's a doozy. I gave myself a Imetrex shot Tuesday 9/2 late afternoon/early evening, now I have a window to mediate of Saturday 9/6. I have seen the advice and threads about 5 days clear out time, also see some people ok with 4 days. Looking for some first hand experiences from anyone closer to the 4 day cleanse as to whether they had success or was it a waste of time and medicine. Thanks in advance for any response.

Ok I've seen this SUNCT mentioned here before I'll start looking in the search box. Is this something bad? Life threatening? Or worse than having CH?

Hi MG, I also get those, like a drive by jab real quick kind of painful and then their gone. They seem to happen to me similar to cycles, I get them frequently for a week and they disappear for months????

Thanks Jeff I don't notice them while under attack and 90% of my attacks are at night but I see them periodically in the mornings during a cycle. They are so prevalent people at work think I've been attacked. Sometimes just one side sometimes both. Might ask the PM, as usual I think about this a week after my last visit.

Hi Panel, I have a question for all. Do Red Blotches appear around or between your eyes while your in a cycle? They look like deep scratches below the skin, and I've noticed them the last few cycles I've had. Wondering if this is something other or more serious then just the CH.

Try the Monster Extra Dry, it comes in smaller can and has higher caffeine and taurine, also infused with nitrous. It works very well for me.

Back home Saturday 12:48 am, phew what a day. I did have to use the final injection just before landing @DIA, again worked great within a few minutes. I brought this empty home where I can practice dis assembly to administer smaller doses if possible. Question to anyone who can help, I have the "Sun" pharma injectors and I'll be darned if I can follow the directions Bejeeb's sent me on breaking this down. Do I have a newer version of the syringe that is tamper proof? If anyone else uses the same Sun injectors and is capable of altering this can you send me a reply or possibly a link. Now I'm going to try and call in another refill on the Imitrex and see if the insurance will allow that so soon. Oh and by the way if you do ever go on a Royal Caribbean cruise, try like hell to have enough ammo, they won't allow 02 in the rooms, and when I went to the medical facility to inquire about the use of their 02 for the Cluster Attack I was suffering they looked at m e like I was from another planet and said they didn't know how to charge for the 02...So they said $50.00 for the 02 and $100.00 for the use of the ward. I thanked them and told em "I was feeling better" sheez!! Dave

We are back to Florida, what a great trip it was. Thanks for the advice and well wishes ;D ; Would not have survived without the extra ammo. I had to use 3of the 4 injections I took with me, as recent as the line in customs comining off the ship..What a game changer. I also used a technique I saw others had luck with, hot long showers help me abort 3. I also found out bacon is a big trigger for me. I had attacks 2 mornings in a row. I need to work harder on trying to disassemble the injections, I just did full 6mil each time. The wife's looking forward to tagging me at least once, she still owes me for the hormonal shots I gave her when we were trying to get her preggers. Hey Bejebeers and CH Father, thanks for the Great Advice especially Bejeeb, I printed out the instructions and they look easy enough to follow, won't know till I open em up and try em out. YES I got my 2 boxes w/ 2 injectors each sitting here looking them over. 1st lady at Walgreens said the insurance didn't approve it and I was ready to pony up $450.00 for 2 boxes when the actual pharmacist came over and said let me "Work some Magic" and she got them both for $5.00 I' Love that lady...more money to spend on the trip. Thanks again to everyone who offered up some helpful advice...This site ROCKS with GOOD people. Hope I can repay the favor someday. ;D

Thanks Bejeebers & weatherman Calling the doc this am, she's always listened to my suggestions and we've even talked about MM, I'm kind of teaching her about CH. Last physical she even prescribed d3 and magnesium because she had been studying. I hope we can get a script moving in time, I'm going to go for the injections. Hope they come with instructions. Gosh I hate needles, but I really hate attacks more. Weatherman I had simular plane trip with a 94 year old going to Vegas. Was drinking with customers in the terminal and as soon as I walked through the cabin door Bam one hit. I held and squeezed my head for 1/2 hour. When I finally started coming around and looked at her she probably thought the same Zombie thoughts. Didn't want to scare a 94 yr old lady though. If anyone else has more advice, I'm listening up to 11:40 pm Friday night MST. Dave

Help Please, I just came off the 02 tank at home after my 3rd hit of the day, the 1st 2 were at work and I wasn't prepared didn't have the E tank with me there. The 1st attack I did have a monster Extra Dry and used a ice bag to abort in 20 minutes. The 2nd one hit and I tried the ice only...OH MY GOD I can now claim to know what a kip 10 is...unfortunately, I shut off the lights and computer and rolled around in the office after what I think was an hour I started to come out of it and my neck was tight as a drum and my arms were tingly?? I'm freaking out because we are leaving on a cruise Friday night for a week, going to have to fly to Florida on the red Eye and board a ship that I couldn't secure any 02 from Apria, the cruise line says they have 02 in their emergency room, I would rather have it at my disposal. I have been skirting the big hits with 02 and some 50 mg Sumatriptan for 3 months(Spring Solstice) and I'm praying this is the beasts last hurrah before my cycle ends and it's going out like a frickin Lion. Gonna call my doc tomorrow and see about getting a script for either Imitrex injections or the spray but I'm scared sh*tless about being out of my comfort zone. I had read posts about people putting sputs under their tongues or building capsules of ground up MM on trips, but I'm traveling with family and probably shouldn't try dosing to hard' Anybody out there have any advice or similar situations I might learn from? Just came off the O2 @ 2:00 am and reflecting on the changes in the weather the last two days. I've been in my usual Spring cycle and have had about a week or so of PF days until this Sunday when a huge low pressure front has parked over Colorado. Two nights of hits this last one being the worst. I am starting to see a definite relation to the weather changed and my CH with me. Can't complain to hard about the weather though, compared t o Oklahoma, thoughts and prayers are being sent their way. Makes me feel bad even complaing about my attacks.

As usual I'm a day late and a dollar short, got to vegas and checked with the sports book. Rockies were 80-1 to win the series out of the gate as of April 1st and being 5-4 (Giants killed us). They are now 40-1 CRAP still dropped a dime on them. Hope somebody knocks the Braves out of the playoffs before we see them, Their SMOKIN HOT Rockies 4games / Tigers 3games World Series results

This thread has me wondering about my short term memory also. I like Jeff see a significant lapse or failure with my short term memory especially during cycle, so bad sometimes I can't remember talking to a customer at work from 5 to 10 minutes prior. I saw the neurologist when I was diagnosed with CH and had the initial MRI but at that time in09 I wasn't a long term sufferer. That hardening of the arteries has me thinking I should do some follow up work done see where I,m at after 4 years in. Jeff I will be interested in seeing either a new thread or a followup if you do see your new Neuro doctor. Dave

Oops, the smiley faces trumped my post...damn computer illiteracy. What I wanted to say was I second the well wishes of POS1964. And also wanted to express my thanks and appreciation for the people who post and reply here on CB. I can honestly say with the knowledge I have obtained and advice given here I have improved my life 10 fold in 2012 from years prior. Here's hoping 2013 is a better year for everyone both suffering and supporting CH'ers
