  2. The great Ronnie Dawson doing his smash hit, "Monkey Beat City" on Conan!!!!!
  3. Hey Matt, I just report this stuff, I don't interpret it, leave that to smarter folks than me! Maybe someone will come along and interpret this, but simply put, I think that they are saying that they couldn't find any genetic link, nor any external link to migraine in this study.
  4. Dopamine receptor 3(DRD3) polymorphism and risk for migraine Background/objectives:[ch8194] Dopamine has been implicated in the pathogenesis of migraine. We investigated the possible association between the polymorphism 312G>A (rs6280) in the DRD3 gene(essential tremor 1-ETM1- locus, chromosome 3q13) and the risk for migraine and for triggering migraine attacks by alcohol. Methods:[ch8194] We studied the frequency of the DRD3 genotypes and allelic variants in 197 patients with migraine and 282 healthy controls using a polymerase chain reaction and MlsI-restriction fragment length polymorphisms method. Results:[ch8194] The frequencies of the DRD3 genotypes and DRD3Gly9 were similar in patients with migraine and controls and were unrelated to the age of onset of migraine, gender, family history of migraine and triggering of migraine attacks by alcohol. The frequency of the genotype DRD3Gly9Gly9 was significantly higher in patients with migraine with aura when compared with patients with migraine without aura, but not with controls. Conclusion:[ch8194]DRD3 genotype and allelic variants were not related to the risk for migraine in Caucasian Spanish people. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1468-1331.2010.02988.x/abstract
  5. Just from the pics, I can believe that! Denny, I have a neighbor that could pass for your twin - all the way down to the smile and facial expressions. I think he's got 3 or 4 years on you, but just as fit. I think he averages about 20 to 25 miles per day on his bike - and it doesn't have a motor!
  6. Hey Shag! For what it's worth, I think you look exactly like I pictured you would look! Sorry I didn't make it out to your stomping grounds, but I hope to meet you in Chi Town next year. alley
  7. Tingeling, I see you got a promotion! ;D
  8. Denny, See if this little app won't work for you... http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/marketplace/index.cfm?event=marketplace.offering&marketplaceid=1&offeringid=10740
  9. Angel, I can't remember...is your hubby chronic? If so, that could explain why alcohol is not always a trigger for him. A lot of chronics, including me, are able to imbibe at times without getting a CH. The rub is that I don't know of any way of telling when it will trigger, and when it won't. alley
  10. I couldn't agree any more Denny! He's my hoss, even if he never wins a race!
  11. Lobbying Leslie? Me thinks you may have been hanging around Xeno too long.
  12. Damn good question Tommy!
  13. Nope! Hopefully next year though. Maybe they'll have the next one in our neck of the woods.
  14. Are you in Portland Tommy?
  15. Damn! So sorry to hear Bonkers hasn't improved. DD, I am green with envy!!! [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif]

  20. Another powerful tool is dance! "Dance is a vertical expression of a horizontal desire."
  21. LMAO!!! ;D ;D ;D Hey Denny, maybe Cindy will lend you the money to buy that netbook you wanted. ;D
  22. Hi Nen, and Welcome! I'm glad you found us, but sorry that you had the need. First off, 8 lpm is not a high enough flow rate on the oxygen. You need at least 15 lpm flow rate. See the little "Menu" tab on the upper left hand side of this page? Mouse over it, and click on "CH.com Oxygen Page." You will find all the info you need there on how to use oxygen for CH. You can print up the info if you want and take it to your doc. Most doctors are woefully inadequate at diagnosing and treating CH. I do not think that you can "overuse" oxygen. The only side effect that I know of is that you can get a dry throat from sucking a lot without a humidifier or 'bubbler', especially when using welder's o2 which is what many of us use. As Shaggy says, check out both sites and take from them what you can use, and leave the rest. This site is primarily dedicated to busting. The best thing going on with you is that you are on no meds. That is a prerequisite to busting. Please feel free to ask any questions. alley
