@CHfather No problem at all. He did try busting 3-4 times I believe. It did seem to help some (bad headache the next day then no headache for 2-3 days after which is/was rare for him), but they always came back. We were planning to experiment with a little higher dose, he did 1g every 5 days, but then we were waiting for a new supply and ordered the boswellia.

He has a propolonol prescription which helped some for a while but now no longer makes much difference and sumatriptan. He has also taken Topomax (?) in the past but the side effects were too severe. I believe he tried some other medications when first diagnosed with similar results.

That’s great! Hope others may find some relief as well.

This was a very helpful post ! I am now looking into this supplement I as well have trie propranolol and toprimax/toprimate neither worked and the toprimax gave me bad side effects as well (cognitive issues). Thank you for posting this.

    I'm I'm 3rd generation

Not sure why but this makes me wonder what other people's heritages are (by other people I mean other C-heads). I wonder if one heritage is afflicted more than another? Maybe a study has been done on this as it seems relevant. I suppose it doesn't matter that much as knowing won't make the s-show disappear for any of us.. Just my curiosity. I am Native American (Pascua Yaqui) and have no family I know of that was ever afflicted nor know of any other feathers that have it..

. I feel that Western culture ruins us and makes us sad

I can't disagree.  Roots are beautiful just like the facets in our life. The women in the video were beautiful btw. It's neat to see all the diffrent sides of an individual (especially one afflicted with the same). I appreciate you starting this thread as anyone tired of the normal A rotation now has a plethora to choose from!

The trees are so skimpy looking this year and the prices are super high at the same time. We are still looking but getting late and the money is super tight. Nice tree!

Thanks! And yes the prices are ridiculous! I'm considering investing in a fake one as it will soon be more cost effective

Wait, youz guys are tying one on? Oh man, what I wouldn't do to be able to have a mason jar of grape moonshine. I don't drink that fancy stuff y'all drink. If I even smell alcohol I will be on the floor in the fetal position, not good. Get three sheets to the wind for me.

No I'm sorry. ...we never do that I am guilty of a beer or too after work but I am not triggered by alcohol its 9 pm here in unicorn land and we are in bed. We fixed up my mare with mash and are ready to catch some dream time!

    assume is real?

Hi Juss! Yes sir re Bob on the real part. I would love to see your picks! My husband and I go back to the place we were married every year to get a tree as it doubles as a wedding venue, tree farm and iris garden. It's a special thing we do.

  8. I'm usually clear of CH for Christmas so I'm thankful of that as I love Christmas and decorating for it, the attached pick is my tree this year almost done just needs a topper.. A little happy break time to keep a C-head happy:P For those that get very little of a break my Christmas wish is for you to find something that works for you, something that grants you longer stents between visits with the beast!

get exposed to the flu or something?

I don't think it's the flu (no nausea or fever). I think it's just what existed prior to COVID:D (common cold). I am good with herbal remedies as well but I have become a bit more cautious with them as one time I has an apothecary make me a tincture (earliest of my CH when being told it was migraine) and apparently she put sage in it, which I had no idea I was allergic 2 but I found out real quick when my body caught on fire from hives:o I have heard  good things about Feverfew and Valerian.

Thanks Freud! I haven't taken anything other than a Vicks throat spray last night and this morning I no longer had a sore throat so I'm hoping this is just gonna pass quick (fingers crossed)

When a cold gets a real foothold past the first day

Agreed Jeeb. I did take a little extra sublingual D3 last night and this morning my throat no longer feels like hells kitchen so that's a positive sign. Little congested but body aches are gone already:)

    Increase what?

    Hi Juss,

I was referring to increasing my vitamin D3 and vitamin C an I'm pretty sure I just have a good old common cold. I had read on here that the D3 levels get depleted when you are under the weather. I do take zinc and omega 3 along with a bunch of other supplements on a daily. I already looked up the omega you suggested and will be ordering some soon so thank you for that lead!

  17. Uff so I'm sick. Sore throat started last night I thought it was because I left the window open for my older lab but no. Almost 9 pm here and still a Sore throat after peppermint tea all day and body ache I did increase the d and c but feel yuck. Shadowing bad anything else I should increase or just ride it out??

  18. Also I should note that I have changed my normal habits of random sleep time to a more strict sleep time even if I'm not as tired. Don't know if that makes a difference but I know I wake up with less shadow pain and just feel better overall.

I believe CH'ers are pretty notorious for tendencies to not be the greatest sleepers, whether in cycle or not

I think your rt. I never had a problem sleeping and don't (knock on wood get night CH) but I have noticed that I wake several times in the dark hours. I don't understand it but it is real. I have found that the Melatonin gummy and pills don't work for me (just recently tried) but Melatonin sleep soak by Dr. Teal's prior to bed helps. I also wear sleep buds with the sound of rain or a storm that really seems to help.
