ThatHurtsMyHead
I certainly don't know, but reading that one of the main side effects is headache (due to blood vessel dilation). I wouldn't think it much use to us. It's a common street drug, so would think someone out there has tried it. J
Bejeeber
I would proceed VERY cautiously and first check into whether it's effects could be similar to nitro glycerin (a quick Googling shows them to be compared in some medical contexts or other). My concern about any similarity between these two could be completely unwarranted and way outa left field, it's just that nitro glycerin is considered the most foolproof trigger known for a major CH attack, and it will even be used for inducing attacks in upcoming Yale studies on psilocybin for CH. J makes a good point though that you'd think we would've heard about it one way or the other if it had any significant effect.

diamondmaker
Funny, I was just looking at that drug after remembering an experience with it when I was younger. As I remember it has a dissociative quality like nitrous. I can't speak as to the CH questions... it was before I started getting CH. The vasodilator thing sends up the red flags though. Ricardo
Amyl Nitrate will increase the nitric oxide levels in your blood, which if you are a cluster headache or migraine sufferer will almost definitely trigger an attack or make your existing attack worse. In clinical trials they give nitric oxide to people to trigger their headaches so that they can then test different abortives on people. Not recommended. -Ricardo
