  1. Hi JimG, Sounds like 17 years in, your CH had a pretty established pattern of behavior. The weird thing is, it turns out it's common to be hit with a pattern shift you never would have expected, even after umpteen years of predictability. One of the most common shifts is the lengthening cycles BTW, so It's probably not worth worrying about chronic for another few months at least. Lotsa headbangers are convinced the usage of triptans can cause cycles to lengthen. I've been episodic for going on 37 years, so I had 12 years or so of CH joy before triptans hit the market in the US, and what I found was my cycles kept lengthening and lengthening before I ever tried a triptan. I had been on some heavy cocktails of other prescriptions though. Here's hoping you'll be 12-ish weeks and done this time, with a sudden cessation, or at least you'll see it tapering off soon, which I figure is a likely scenario. I'll officially place a bet on that right now.

  2. Big Hitter, to ask again -- Are you doing the D3 regimen? https://clusterbusters.org/forums/topic/1308-d3-regimen/ It can make a huge difference. Back when you were getting rebounds from oxygen, were you staying on it for 5-10 minutes after the attack had been aborted? And were you combining it with an energy shot such as 5-Hour Energy? And was your O2 system and breathing strategy optimized? I've read a lot about these rebound attacks over the years, and there's a report of them from 2011, which almost certainly was not conducted with what we know today to be the best system (high-flow regulator, top-quality mask, and hyperventilation). In what I have read here and at ch.com, many people overcame that rebound effect with one or all of the things I just mentioned. Just a thought. Yep.

  3. 'Reading all the blogs that in no way represent the experience I, and so many others, have had at the clinic serves no purpose for me.' Well, that says it all. You have posted on three of the Boards on this site. They all say the same thing. CURE. You want to speak at our conference even. You accuse this site of not honoring its' mission. In addition, you have provided no facts to support your stance. We will keep an eye out for Neurologist's testing and replicating this methed for sure. If it is proven to be effective as a cure, I am certain that we will all celebrate and post the outcome here. For now, perhaps you could provide facts? I am sure that my friend in South Africa, who has also undergone this treatment would be quite interested in reading them. I have had CH for over 40 years. I have had a ten year remission during that time. I have seen treatments come and go too. If this treatment proves to be a 'cure' without creating casualties along the way I might be interested. Facts please.
