  1. Thanks Bob for the early announcement. Already scheduled off work. Think we're going to make it a family affair. Can't wait to get to know all of you that I have gotten to know. You know what I mean!
  2. I just want to wish my second family a very happy and pain free Thanksgiving. Thanks to Clusterbusters, my family has much to be thankful for!
  3. I think most find RC seeds to cause less stomach upset, and are easier to prepare. Hopefully, you will share your experience with us, but under "Share your Busting Stories" where the info can be more freely shared.
  4. I believe RC seeds are most popular since they don't seem to cause as much stomach upset. The "experience" is very low level, if at all. I use psychoactiveherbs.com. This process can take some time, it might not be a quick fix (which we all wish for), but you are headed in the right direction. Good luck with the proposal!
  5. Welcome to your new home and family. Your husband's story is basically the same as everyone else's here. Sorry you have to be here, but now you will receive all the understanding, advice and support that you have been seeking. My 19 year old son has had CCH since first diagnosed at the age of 13. He is still chronic, but significantly improved thanks to this treatment. He is getting his life back. One day he will be PF! He was recently approved for SSI, so it CAN be done! Beware the steroids, they are the devil in disguise (in my opinion).
  6. Sorry guys . . . I have fallen WAY behind here. I was short handed at work for a couple of weeks. Spent 3 hours reading yesterday (whew!), and I'm still not caught up. I wish I had been the winning vote.
  7. I went there, Lee Ann, but not sure how to "vote". Help
  8. Thanks for that entertaining fairy tale! Very creative
  9. I agree with seeing if you can wait a little longer to bust again. Sounds like things were shaken up and might take a little while to settle out. Take it day by day. If it gets too bad, then I would prob bust with just seeds. Maybe shrooms the time after that.
  10. Happy Birthday! Thanks for all you do for us!
  11. I am surprised that no one has mentioned it, but Clusterbusters is now a "cause" on Facebook. Through their page you can invite others to join, and hopefully donate as well! Those of you who are on, let's get those invitations going. Not only will it spread the word and increase awareness, but hopefully some much needed $$ too! I saw some familiar faces and names already there this morning
  12. Shellie, Just so you know, the mouthpiece looks like a tube. It came with our mask.
  13. Happy Belated Birthday! Glad to hear you had fun
  14. Johnny- I sorta pictured you like that!
  15. Hmmm . . . Move to Mexico? . . . . Vacation all year? . . . . I've got mad office skills . . . .
  16. Angel, I can only share our experience . . .I am the caregiver for my 18 y/o son who has clusters. We have been busting since last fall (almost a year now). He has been chronic for going on 6 years. His frequency and severity are way down from when we started, but to stress what many say, it IS a process, and can be a long one. Any improvement is welcome! At any rate, the higher we got on the shroom dose, the more severe his post dose hits became. Once we backed the dose back down to a more comfortable level (psychadelically speaking--say that 5 times real fast! ) the post dose hits became more manageable-almost non existent. So based on our experiences, we stay away from the higher doses of shrooms. He doesn't enjoy that feeling, the post dose hits are harder, and the results just weren't there. The trip and the pain would be worth it, if there were a more significant result, but there just wasn't......not for him anyway. We rotate doses in a random fashion (makes us feel like we are staying one step ahead of this seemingly smart animal). Going from seeds (60 - 70), shrooms 2g, or what we call the "combo dose" of seeds 40 and shrooms 1g. He's still not PF, but feels he could function at this level indefinitely. Last fall, Andrew had to drop out of his first semester of college, a very difficult thing for him. I am happy to say that he is enrolled full time for this fall, and just got a part time job. He is finally starting to have the life he feels he should. Hope this helps. From one support person to another--Hang in there! Better days are ahead. Christy PS. Ever need to unload . . . .let me know.
  17. Hope you guys have a nice visit, and that Michael is feeling better.
  18. Thanks all for the lovely birthday wishes! I took the day off Friday, for my birthday, and was nowhere near a computer, so I'm just now getting your messages. It was hot, beautiful, sunny weather. I worshipped the sun most of the day! I did take some time to count all the blessings in my life. The most of which is that Andrew is steadily feeling better. Still goin' for totally PF, but as he says, he could live this way forever. It is so much better than it was! Never enough thanks for those who paved our way. Many thanks to those of you who I rely on for information constantly. LIFE IS GOOD!!
  19. Somebody should put that on a shirt!
  20. I just told our headache specialist that I wanted to discuss something off the record. I told him what we were contemplating, and he listened, then wrote a script for the next drug on his mental list. He scheduled our normal follow up, and said we could let him know then what we decided. I canceled and rescheduled a number of times during detox and the early days of finding our way through this process. It was about 4 months late, but I wanted to have something to report when we returned. By the time we did, he was off all prescription meds and Andrew was doing much better. He asked what we were doing, and was very curious about the technicalities of obtaining alts, etc. He said he had never seen Andrew look so good, and he would like to see him back in 4 months. We continue to maintain our relationship with him, though really all he does is keep up the o2 script. My hope is he will continue to see our good results and learn from our experience.
  21. Sorry about your little "moisture" problem ;D. But seriously, glad to hear you're getting back on track.
  22. So thankful . . . . .for all of you . . . .but, especially you, Bob
