  1. Can we just bring items with us, or do you need them ahead of time?
  2. I have been so swamped, and haven't been here in too long! But I had to log in quick to tell my #1 psychadelic pal to have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! No one deserves it more than you Mom
  3. Les, One cannot disrespect he who is honest with himself and about himself. Not only are you doing yourself a huge favor in the pain department, but with all the other diseases you are no longer helping along. Good for you!!
  4. Yeah, I think Andrew's gonna bring his mom .
  5. Met la, You might consider while you are calling these doctors anyway, just ASK them if they routinely prescribe oxygen for patients with clusters. That way you can pick one who knows what the hell they are doing. Just a thought.
  6. In my son's case, steroids cause him to get a steady migraine along with his clusters. The only way we found to get rid of it was DHE, which is administered as an in patient, and following the administration, rebounds. A nightmare he doesn't care to revisit.
  7. Already booked and ready to go!
  8. It is a steroid, and in my cluster house, that is a bad, bad word. My son won't go near it.
  9. I am sure they are, but the one thing that really works, they cannot prescribe. When you have had enough of running around in circles and jumping through their hoops, like all of us have, consider this treatment. It can change your life. It is hard to imagine right now, but it will. Why prolong the agony? I won't bore you with the story you have already lived, but I am the advocate and "treater" for my 19 year old son who has been chronic for almost 7 years now. There is no one here who doesn't understand completely this place where you are right now. We all want to help you out of it, as quickly as possible.
  10. Now you can breathe easy for the next 65!
  11. So Happy Birthday on the 29th. Guess we'll be the first one's.
  12. What she said . . . . Good job, Myst
  13. Interesting study. In my job, I have managed anticoagulation patients on a daily basis for the last 15 years. I am VERY familiar with the process . . . . . Might have to consider a little trial.
  14. Barbara, I am the mother of a 6 year, 19 y/o chronic. Busting for about 18 mos now. Still chronic, but so much better than before. As long as you are detoxed from all blocking meds, bust anytime. There really isn't a good or bad time. You just need to start. Since you should be in the proper state of mind before dosing, and this is your first time, I would not recommend dosing in the midst of an attack. Immediately after would be a good plan. Just so you know you won't be hit for a while. Be sure you have not eaten for at least 2 hours prior, and wait at least 2 hours after dosing before eating again. I don't know if you work/go to school, but be prepared for the post dose hits that will likely hit 24 hours after dosing. That first 24 is usually a bit of a "honeymoon" so enjoy it. But starting the next 24-72 you will see increased activity and frequency. The headaches may seem a little different from your usual, but this is expected, and actually good news, as it indicates that you "shook" things up. Wait at least 5 days before dosing again. Here you have to follow your intuition a little. We have observed it taking up to 14 days after a dose to settle back into what is the "new" routine following a bust. You may not want to wait that long at first, as it may take a few doses before you really see significant results. Everyone is different, so it is a lot of trial and error. It may take several doses, so don't be discouraged. Feel free to PM me
  15. What happened to "first do no harm"!?! Your GP is an idiot, we had one of those once-dropped her like a hot potato! Get a neuro, or better yet a headache specialist.
  16. The Imitrex and the Prednisone can block the psilo. Not sure about the depakote, maybe someone else has experience with it. IMO, ultimately detoxing off all rx meds. is a big plus. You can still dose, but may have limited results until your system is clean. Try to wait 5 days before trying the psilo again, as your receptors are likely closed until then, and it can't get in anyway. Hang in there, right now this is really hard, but it will get better.
  17. You are a true inspiration to everyone here.
  18. SEE WHAT I MEAN! hahahahahahahahaha ;D ;D ;D And that's just one of 'em!
  19. Hi, and Welcome! You are a smart girl, read, read, read. Here you will find more people than you ever imagined who share your situation. They are compassionate, generous AND funny! Right when you need it.
  20. We been sayin' that up here in Michigan for years, but sorry to say, it doesn't really work! Seriously, hope y'all have a wonderful visit
  21. 1. Wonder if you were ever given steroids in your long line of unhelpful meds. Whenever my son has been given steroids to treat his clusters, he gets what they referred to as "status migraine" with cluster. Constant headache, then peaks with his clusters. 3. Have you tried, or can your stomach tolerate energy drinks like Red Bull? Combination of Taurine and Caffeine, very helpful in aborting clusters, along with oxygen of course. 4. IMO, the level of sensitivity to triggers varies from time to time. 5. Either route. Might start with seeds and see how effective they are for you, and move on from there. Everybody is different where treatment and dosage is concerned. We are forced to experiment on ourselves. I skipped a couple because I have no knowledge to help you with them. I know you are anxious to feel better, but take the time you can to absorb as much as you can. It's all here. And someone will come on after me, that will have more to offer you. Welcome home
  22. You will actually find that farming is quite inexpensive. There is a series of 4 videos on you tube "Let's Grow Mushrooms", where they explain the process and show how easy it can be. Regarding your dose timing with seeds and work: my son likes to dose at bedtime (with seeds) on an empty stomach, it allows him to sleep through the minor effects. Usually his post dose hits don't start for about 24 hours after the dose-if he gets them, so that first 24 hrs is pretty benign. Once you see how that first dose goes, you may find that you could dose on a Thursday night, work Friday, and then fight the expected elevated activity over the weekend.
  23. Wonderful news! Enjoy it while it lasts, and may that be a long time. NO JINX! And if it isn't, well you are armed and ready
