Interesting article for the casual reader who's never had a HA but really you could learn more on this board in the time it took me to read this interview. No mention of any direction for treatments and he didn't even answer how many patients he sees. I'm sure I could find it somewhere, but what treatment protocols does the good doc endorse? I did trace multiple migraines to hot dogs on an empty stomach followed by bright sunlight or extreme activity when I was in my teens thru 30's and they just about disappeared in my 50's...Just in time for the cluster beast to enter my life this year. Haven't traced CH to any foods for me yet.

Does the capsule add any value other than avoiding the taste? Storeage?

Angel, After 2 months I tempted the beast with bunch of beers at a soccer match (Man City vs Inter Milan) Saturday when 2 of my kids were in town (21 and 25), two weeks after my cycle ended, and worried all day yesterday, then a little stiff neck last night, but nothing this morning. Not going to push my luck though. No more alcohol for a while. Jay

Bejeeber has it right...boil it down to a simple plan with dates and then stick to the plan. 1) Start right away with O2 for an abortive. 2) Try seeds for a preventative. 3) If the seeds aren't effective, graduate to the mushrooms Just go with O2 and seeds or shrooms if you have access to them. Since you have the welding O2 you won't be able to read the flow rate but that's OK you can still adjust it. Start off adjusting the welding regulator at low flow until the bag on the OP2timask is staying pretty full when she is breathing deep cleansing breaths. Breathing should be work! She's trying to get as much O2 into her blood stream as possible, not relax. Fast deep breathing and just regulate the flow to keep up with the bag on the mask. Should abort the Head aches in 5 to 20 minutes. O2 only aborts HAs. It doesn't prevent the next headache. Busting and doisng mean the sme thing. Using seeds or shrooms to stop the HAs from coming. Many on this board are chronic and are able to stop the HAs with regular dosing plans and then keep them away. Hope this helps clear the clutter. It's inportant to have a simple plan and have confidence it will work. IT WILL! Jay

Can someone explain the crunchy neck thing. I am so there now, almost two weeks after my cylce ended. It started the last 2 days of my cycle and almost seemd like the signal that my cycle was ending. It's better everday but so wierd. What's the connection?

Bob W told me not to worry about detoxing from verap.That's the only thing I'm still on after stopping Prednisone near the end of my first taper. Cycle stopped a week ago so deciding what to do next while enjoying pf week! Hey David...I think the Beast is afraid to come anywhere near me. I have enough O2, liquid O2, an O2 concentrator, regulators and masks in my bedroom to bust all the hangovers in Baltimore this weekend, or to bust up a creepy little Beast if he raises his nasty little head anywhere. Hey it's gonna be a nice weekend here 104 degrees is the forecast for tomorow!

If the pain level has increased vomiting can be an affect of the pain alone, but otherwise I'd agree with alleyoop and get it checked out. Any new meds? Taking meds on an empty stomach, but could be unrelated so never hurts to check it out.

Looking forward to your update. Wish we all had the access you do so quickly but you've paid your dues for years and done your research...Floyd or the Beachboys...that's the only thing that worries me about your post. Have you all noticed the "drive by posts" the last few days. Dying in Omaha and now The Devil is back...but no responses from them. I sure hope they come back and take advantage of the info here like we all did.

Understand your clock is just reminding you that it's there. Have had similar periods over the years when I would wake up and know to the minute what time it was. Then look at the clock and freak out. There must be some connection. with these crazy clocks we have and a propensity for CH.

MJ, it's cool. If you are ever really out of line there are moderators who will delete your post. Just better to go to the busting post as it has some degree of privacy since people have to login. And you don't have to do everything with PMs because we all learn from reading other's posts. Keep asking and answering. We learn from each other.

Read the legal tab. Growing, posessing, giving or selling shrooms is illegal. No record of a CH sufferrer being arrested or presecuted, but that is no guarantee. Buying spores is legal since they do not posess the two substnaces that are named as illegal until shrooms mature. It is recommended ant any discussions of this nature be conducted under the Busting stories as login is require.

Bredna: when you properly with the proper equipment O2 is 90% successful. Don't know how MJ has been using it but if you use the right mask, flow of 15 minimum to 25 lpm and get a plentiful supply so you don't feel the need to ration, you will very likely be able to abort every ha within 5 to 20 minutes. There is plenty of info here. Not a cycle buster, but it does abort headaches. Just click on the menu to the left and then the CH.com Oxygen page. It wil take a week to get everything though, so if you are hurting now and in cycle, PM me. I may be able to speed things up for you. jay
