  1. This was me 10 years ago. At my chronic phase I was on 720-1100mg verapamil daily. To me the "dependency" was also keeping CH non-stop; keeping me chronic. I never got relief from Batch regimen (Vitamin D protocol) as long as I was on verapamil. Looking back now, for me use of steroids and triptans also made it impossible to create a PF break with vitamins. At the very end of my rope I was forced to do the detox from prescription meds to be able to start busting. It's a road I probably could not walk twice in one lifetime. But now that I'm free from Rx, D3 protocol is only thing I need to keep me pain free and have busting to use should things go bad. I have serious heart issues from verapamil and back then could not do any exercise any more, sometimes not even walk or stand (due to heart and BP) so I'm very satisfied with this change. PF wishes to everyone

  2. Tony, congratulations on your new family member!! I pray that all ended well in that department!! I am delighted that you killed that cycle too! It is criminal, in my book, to penalize you for 'doing what had to be done'. Big hugs my friend!!!

  3. Hello, About 2 weeks back, I was suffering some very nasty attacks. 2 to 3 a day each lasting an hour reaching extremely high pain levels. I happened to speak to a friend who is a homeopathy doctor. I was surprised to hear from him that cluster headaches were curable in homeopathy. He spoke to me for an hour on everything except my attacks including emotional issues that I may have had in the past. He sounded very confident. He gave me some meds. Next day onwards my pain levels came down. 3 days later my attacks became less frequent. 2 weeks into the treatment, my attacks have almost stopped. I get an odd minor attack once in a while but no full blown attack now. I know fully well that CH is never going to go away. But I am pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating CH. I will continue the meds and report feedback here. Pain free wishes to all. Har Har Mahadev Vipul

  5. @Tony Only Wow! Thank you for this. It's *very* encouraging. That makes me want to come off the indo all the way. I'm down to 50 mg daily from 225 mg, but I think I can go all the way. I too am doing the Vitamin D protocol (very high dose in my case, as I seem to have multiple conditions and they all seem refractory, e.g. 100,000 IU daily, with a whole bunch of cofactors, under @xxx / Batch's watchful care), and busting, with help and guidance from the generous @Jteira. Here's to complete healing!

  6. Thank you @trjonas that is so sweet of you Here's an update: After writing these posts I quit taking the Batch regimen (anti-inflammatory regimen) because was forced to do so in public healthcare. I had been leaving "god please help me" messages to the neurology department in my town. In november we had a baby, our baby was in intensive care and as parents we were staying in hospital 24/7 me starting to get CH attacks again. It was difficult even to get O2 treatment in hospital which kind of gave me perspective and real life experience how far behind we still are here in CH treatment. But then one day the neurologist called. He backed me in using anti-inflammatory regimen, I started it back up and public healthcare was forced to give me heathcare. My calcium was checked and it was ok. I can now get my Vitamin D level checked this fall, taking the Batch regimen daily again. I had to use some Lucy in the sky with diamonds to terminate the cycle that tried to get going; me being open with it we are now clients in child welfare services and I'm labeled a drug user. At this point, I don't mind - don't have time to worry about it, but will work for the rest of my life so that no one should go through what we went through. But things are good now CH wise

  7. NOPE! .... i was 26 when it started for me (most start around that age)....retired senior now.....life, job, career. it was OXYGEN (mostly), energy drinks, D3, verapamil for a while, zomig nasal spray as abort of last resort....maybe even age and chemo got me through. Busting remains in the tool belt if need be... ...find the right tools (we'll help) and note that they may change, make a plan (scripts, meds, providers), and keep a good attitude (i always thought, screw it, aint gonna kill me, aint gonna quit).............. best jonsthan

  8. Brad....not sure your experience with OXYGEN...changed my life...do your best to get and use appropriately: min 15-25 lpm, non- rebreather mask/direct/demand valve, proper technique (hyperventilation most popular, also breath and hold, slow breath, combo)...

  9. @Cast Iron, you could read this book about the Coimbra protocol to get an idea of side effects of really high-dose Vitamin D. I'm finding it helpful and informative: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/1983353248

  11. This is a wonderful story! I am so, so happy for Tom and grateful to him for sharing his story. If it worked for him, it could work for someone else. Not everyone, maybe, but this could save at least some lives. Thank you for posting it, @Tony Only!

  13. @Tony Only Is https://www.lifeextension.com/lab-testing/itemlc081950/vitamin-d-25-hydroxy-blood-test (though that's only Vit D) an option for your country? If not, I can help you pay for a test in Finland if you need it. I'm not wealthy but I want to help!

  14. Hey Amardeep, This may be a long shot, but here you go anyway. The following doctor may be the one you are looking for in India who treats CHers and headache patients. Dr Renu Mahtani MD 407, Millennium Star, Dhole Patil Road, Pune - 411001 Maharashtra, India Contact : +91-7887887665 (WhatsApp then call ) Email : mahtani.renu@gmail.com Website: www.renumahtani.com Dr. Mahtani is a neurologist trained in the use of the Coimbra Protocol. https://www.coimbraprotocol.com/the-protocol-1 This is a treatment protocol for remitting recurring multiple sclerosis developed by Dr. Cicero Coimbra, MD, PhD, a neurologist in São Paulo, Brazil. His protocol is similar to the anti-inflammatory regimen I developed in 2010, with the exception, it calls for significantly higher vitamin D3 maintenance doses and there's a prohibition on calcium intake. His protocol is exceptionally effective and has a 95% complete remission rate among his patients suffering from recurring multiple sclerosis. Dr. Coimbra has had a few more years experience treating his MS patients with this protocol than I have with the anti-inflammatory regimen preventing CH. You can download the posted version of the anti-inflammatory regimen migraine headache (MH) and cluster headache (CH) preventative treatment protocol at the following vitamindwiki.com link. http://www.vitamindwiki.com/tiki-download_wiki_attachment.php?attId=7708 Dr. Coimbra has since expanded the use of his protocol to treating patients with autoimmune disorders. I've exchanged study results with him on the use of vitamin D3 and cofactors in preventing CH and MH. I've also spoken with a Coimbra trained physician here in the US who has had success in treating chronic headache patients with the Coimbra protocol. So there you have it. A long shot, but one with little down-side should you decide to give Dr. Mahtani a call or email. Take care and please keep us posted. V/R, Batch .

  15. @amardeep, We had a young man from India who attended the clusterbusters conference in Austin, Texas a few years back....although he's a member here, he's not very active. I know I've seen your name in the Facebook group and he is a member there as well. I'll send him a message and ask him to either check in here or reach out to you on Facebook if he can help guide you.. Dallas Denny

  17. if you dig deep enough, you will find that the recommended dose of 400UI/day should be 4,000UI/day. They messed up and moved a decimal point in the way back and have yet to correct it. Say they are fixing it, but no change so far. That is rather crazy that they toss the doctors who are right!!! Have they factored in the use of sunscreen that blocks what light you do get? Australia did not and they have many young women who suffer from Osteoporosis now. That really sucks!!!
