  1. I also noticed either that day or the day before the city gardeners were trimming all the public area hedges.. I believe CHF posted a link here about a man that would get CH's when exposed to a certain flowering tree ? or bush ? if im not mistaken. I don't know if the pungent smell might have been given off from the chain sawed hedges ? or some fertilizer they put on the grass..
  2. found his O's tank in his bedroom sunday morning. Here's an interesting thing about it. The night before I smelled something VERY strong in his room ,, it was nauseating ,, I realized it wasn't emanating from his room .. but actually was something Outside ??!! in the neighborhood,, I told my son and he said to shut his windows.. In the morning ( the morning of his headache) I could still smell it, some friends came over to go for a hike with me and one mentioned that it smelled like Bark ??!! I don't know what it was ,, I walked around a few neighbors homes but I couldn't find what it was ,, I know they were trimming hedges around the corner ?? maybe a pesticide ? im definitely going to pay attention to this in the future
  3. I would be very interested to see your spreadsheet itself ,, it might be very informative to see others data charted including where the individuals live ie. state/area.
  4. or had he had them for an entire month ? maybe that's what theyre saying here I must have mis-read
  5. I wonder why if his pituitary was clinically non-functioning he only had headaches once a month ? or did I read that wrong ? sounds like a female cycle ,, not male ?
  6. it does seem odd that CO2 would abort CH ,, that kinda the opposite of standard O2 treatment huh ?? bizarre .. as for rapid maybe migraine suffers who have their headaches for days at a time feel 2 hours is rapid oh well ,, it was kind of encouraging to see a company trying to "Bring Light" to the CH problem ,,, maybe just not the right companies !?
  7. Hi CHf ,, thanks .. no I was on vacation (happy explanation) for a couple weeks. we actually are getting continued good news on the hubby front,, chemo continues to shrink his tumors so we do as Dori says ,, " Just keep swimming. " My sons CH's have been quiet. We are getting more rain here in So Cal then I have seen in a few years. Am wondering how the spring (with increased pollen rates ?) may or may not affect his cycle. I hope all is well (as can be) with you and yours !?
  8. Sorry I Havn't been around for a bit .. this may have been posted already. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/capnia-and-clinvest-partner-to-develop-cluster-headache-therapeutic-2015-01-06

is it possible an automated "fishing" virus or scanning programs are hitting this site to invade and kicking up the counter ? (I am in IT). its hard to know what that count really means.

  13. passed out almost killed me back in the 70's don't is all I have to say
  14. if it makes me feel that good about myself in the bath tub I think I will start growing some for myself ,,
  15. its old article posting day http://neurosciencenews.com/magic-muchroom-effects-brain-imaging-scans-psilocybin/ The function of these areas, the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and the posterior cingulate cortex (PCC), is the subject of debate among neuroscientists, but the PCC is proposed to have a role in consciousness and self-identity. The mPFC is known to be hyperactive in depression, so psilocybinÂ’s action on this area could be responsible for some antidepressant effects that have been reported. Similarly, psilocybin reduced blood flow in the hypothalamus, where blood flow is increased during cluster headaches, perhaps explaining why some sufferers have said symptoms improved under psilocybin.
  16. just found this old article http://newsciencejournalism.com/01/2013/suicide-headaches-how-the-failed-war-on-drugs-is-perpetuating-the-worst-pain-that-humans-experience/ "The running hypothesis is that ergotamines contained in magic mushrooms cause a vasoconstriction or shrinking of the blood vessels in the brain, counteracting the nerve pinching effect of cluster headache. Ergotamines were originally found in fungus in the 16th century and are a precursor to LSD. However, little is known about why the ingestion of these drugs may stop a cluster period long term"
  17. I was told at my last optometrist visit that I had a bit of high blood pressure by the doctor. I asked him if that could affect my vision .. he replied .. that yes it could ,, but he added "you have very large optic nerves,, so it wonÂ’t be a problem for you", Anyone here have any comments from optometrists about optic nerve size ?
  18. a further thought to go along with this. If the hypothalamus is not involved with the eventual cessation of the CH then the CH would continue on for an indefinite time. But you all know a CH has a finite time span.
