  1. Hi Chris, Each of us is his own experiment and each responds a little differently to the "alts" discussed here. Not to dissuade you from detoxing and following to the letter - as well as you can - the recommended protocols, but the important thing is to actually try these things and to try them under a variety of circumstances and dosages till you're sure one way or another if they're effective. Like you, my son took increasingly larger doses of seeds (up to about 125, I think), never completely detoxing and had no response to them. Maybe they would have worked if he had spent the time and suffering to completely withdraw from Methadone, but he didn't and they didn't. We knew the psychedelics worked however, because a few months earlier a 1/2 dose of LSD knocked his CH out completely for 5 days; the first break he'd had from being a serious chronic in several years. He found the shrooms to be equally effective and at this point is having to take a large weekly dose (4.25g) to remain pretty much PF. He's still addicted to Methadone but he's gradually weaning himself from the narcotic. I think what I'm trying to say here is that you may not have to completely detox for the shrooms to be effective, that you may not find the seeds useful at all and that you may have to experiment with shroom dosages - even taking perhaps more than you're comfortable with - to find a dose that's effective for you. Don't allow the inability to completely purge your system of all other drugs to prevent you from experimenting with these incredibly effective substances. Good luck, Ron
  2. Hi Chris, I am so relieved to hear that you'll be postponing the permanent implant at least until you've given the shrooms a chance. Nothing works for everyone and the shrooms may not work for you. But for about 80% of the Clusterheads who do try them - and please get some personal advise from one of the experts here before you do - they do work and they work amazingly well! Good luck, Ron
  3. Hi Chris, My son Michael is (or was) a serious chronic and until we found psychedelics, we would have taken - and I believe took - any route that promised even minor relief. After exhausting the usefulness of the typically prescribed medications, he has ended up with an addiction to Methadone that we will probably be dealing with for the next several months. That's okay. For him, the narcotics were a Godsend. He still lay in bed all day, curled up in a ball, obviously suffering too much to do anything but - but he was no longer in constant, excruciating agony. He had no life; but it beat having no life with the pain. Then we heard about psychedelics and after searching for several months, found a single dose of LSD. He took half of it and several hours later found himself completely headache-free! And it lasted for 5 full days! We subsequently found that mushrooms did the same thing. A sub-hallucinogenic dose gives him at least 5 full days of COMPLETE relief. We haven't as yet been able to extend his pain-free time - but, still.... What I'm trying to say Chris, is that I think I understand your reasoning in opting for the surgery. It at least "seems" to work where nothing else has, or at least nothing to this extent. Even partial relief, when you're chronic, is a blessing. This though, seems to be a partial, permanent solution to what could be a temporary problem. Operations suck! I know. I've had 2 operations on my cervical spine that fused 5 vertebrae. The discs were scraped out, cadaver bone plugs inserted between the vertebrae and plates spanning the effected vertebrae screwed into the bones. They'll always be there. And I can feel them. And I'll always need daily narcotics to mask the almost complete stiffness in my neck. There are ALWAYS side-effects and complications. They're permanent, unnatural alterationS to our bodies. A trade-off. In this instance, a lessening of your pain in exchange for the permanent embedding of electrodes and other foreign bodies in YOUR body. I know you're anxious for the permanent implant. Who wouldn't be? But now you've found that there's another option that could work as well or better and it could save you a trip to the operating table. If it doesn't work, nothing's preventing you from having the implant afterwards. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you good luck and God speed. Ron
  4. Any reason you can't keep the "temporary" a little longer - just to be sure?
  5. Be sure they're "cracker" dry b4 freezing. Maybe air-dry for a couple of days, then dry on screen over desiccant (DampRid, calcium chloride) in closed container. Read detox info. in the ClusterBuster forum "Files."
  6. That's "brown rice flour." Lots of good growing info. here and on http://www.shroomery.org/4/Grow-Mushrooms and http://forums.mycotopia.net/fungi-growing-edible-medicinal-magic-mushrooms/. Good luck.

    Hi

    Well-said, Carl.
  9. Wow!, really? I always thought that I was the only one who knew that. Damn! I am shocked!
  10. Welcome Skull buster, Glad to have you here. Unless I'm mistaken (which I usually am), you're one of the very few CH'ers on board who gathers rather than grows. Not that it isn't fun to be a propagator, it just seems so much more... uh... natural to tiptoe through the tulips in search of your treasure. Sort of like hunting for Easter eggs. Anyway, glad to have you on board. Ron
  11. I want to take this time to thank everyone who has contributed to this very special day. All you heads of state, sports, TV and movie stars, notables in Science, Medicine and the Arts, all of you well-wishers from all over the world who have sent cards, gifts and emails. Thank you. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Jus' playin.' Thanks guys.
  12. Don't take more than you're comfortable with. Take 1g as long as YOU feel it's working. As long as you have ready access to shrooms, you're the only judge that matters as to their effectiveness. For a lot of us, they're pretty dear and we find it necessary to get the most use out of what we have. Just my thoughts as of this moment. Others with more experience and other ideas will see things differently.
  13. An MVA took my then 20-year-old son from being an episodic clusterer to a serious chronic. Interesting.
  14. Hope you had a happy birthday! You didn't open a PM I sent you saying that my spectacularly beautiful and wonderful daughter shares your birthday - AND AGE! Far out, huh?
  15. There is much to learn. Stick around. Most of us aren't up this late. Read as much as you can and ask questions tomorrow. Welcome.
  16. Of course it's better to be drug-free when busting. If access to shrooms isn't a problem, give them a try for a couple of weeks at 1.5g minimum and increase by .25g until they work. My son didn't get much relief till about 3.0g. Others are fine with and never take more than 2.0g. Many variables. Seems these little shrooms effect every clusterhead a little differently. Good luck.
  17. What mikey-de said. Right on! Odd feeling rage and sorrow together.

    New here

Clustermom13, Hi Christy. I can't reply to your last PM. I'm on your "ignore list." Ron btw, good post.
  19. I cried too, Christy. I'm sure we're not the only ones. We've GOT to at least try to do something to assure that that doesn't happen again. Damn! Btw, Christy: I'm on your "ignore list." I can't reply to your last PM.
  20. Hi yourself, Can't help with this one. Just wanted to let you know that I'm a fan and read all your posts. Tha's all. Ron
  21. Hi Darrin, I'm far from being an expert on oxygen use, but I know that there's a LOT of information both on this site and the ClusterHeadache site (http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard2/index.html) where you can learn the proper use of oxygen to treat CH. I strongly encourage you to thoroughly read that information and ask questions about things that you don't understand before abandoning your oxygen tank. Good luck, Ron
  22. Koolkarnt, Yes, of course. Only the brightest of the brightest can ever hope to get CH. There, feel better? Ron
  23. Wow! I wish I'd have thought of that. What a bitchin idea!
  24. Lyrica is NOT without side effects! I'm not trying to dissuade you from trying it; just be careful. When I first started taking it, I took too much and went crazy - really crazy - until the effects wore off. Please, be careful.
