  1. After twenty cluster-free years, at the age of 66, I just started a new cluster cycle. I jumped back into the current research to see what was new. Not much! Progress is slow it seems with our mostly useless lawmakers. I had ended my last 2 cycles with HBWR seeds which after a mild "trip" (nothing like the good ol' days of LSD, peyote and mescaline LOL) and as I mentioned they had not had them come back until now. One of the few new things I noticed was a research paper on Fluticasone (OTC Flonase) done in the Navy. So twice now I have averted headaches by dosing myself in both nostrils and completely stopped the pain and was left without the lingering but tolerable pain that cluster sufferers will know. Obviously it may or may not continue to work and it may not work for you, but Amazon has it for $15 and I aways think anecdotal treatments that cheap should be tried! Hopefully, it will carry me over until my HBWR seeds arrive!

  2. Follow up. I have been on Nurtec going on 6 months 1 every other day as a preventative. Migraines are about 1/2 as before the Nurtec and only had 1 bout with Clusters. So far I am happy with the results.

  3. Wow Allison, so sorry to hear you're being slammed like that! Will be eager to learn of your results with nurtec. Fingers crossed big time here too for it to do the trick for you. Hit us up for discussion of additional (often very effective) non pharmaceutical options to complement your nicely non pharmaceutical O2 if needed, and please continue to stay safe - avoiding prolonged prednisone use.

  5. That poor sweetheart - I love the older doggies with the graying muzzles. She's super lucky to have the two of you taking care of her, but sorry to hear things have gone all Murphy's Law on steroids around there right now! Come springtime I bet this will all be forgotten ancient history and she'll be frolicking pain free in the fields again. She does look sexy with that shaved leg and stocking lol.

  7. If the D regimen prevents cutting the cheese there could be a real mass market for it!

  8. LOL I have to admit that this bit made me laugh. I am a lover of all things cheese as well. I think the nixing of dairy is legit to a degree, but I have been on the D reg for quite some time with wonderful results and I have not cut the cheese (pun intended)

  9. @CHB it sounds like this was a visit with a not-an-actual-headache specialist type neurologist? Those are typically not as up to date on developments regarding CH treatments.
