  1. Have been wondering about this - completely understood how stressy McNerve-Wracking it has to be, but I bet it will be a really successful procedure, and it'll be a case where we end up being really thankful for modern surgical advances. Still expecting to see springtime 2023 photos here of your pup bounding around pain free and carefree. Our Cluster Bunny is like some kind of sociopath in that way. Without reservation I'm sure I can speak for a whole gnarly load of clusterheads here when I say the same back atcha, double!

  2. Well I have to say that all of you lift my spirts! I love the light hearted banter and mild jabs at one another. You all make my day each and every time I'm on here. I was speaking to my husband the other night and said to him that if all of social media worked like this site we would be golden. My pup goes in tomorrow morning for surgery and I am sick with worry. It's so nice to know that I have all of you! Of course my shadows chose to kick in big time today when I had to play hostess but .God willing I made it through. You all are the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. I appreciate you all very very much!

  4. Jackie, the primary thing you want from a doctor, if you have CH, is a prescription for oxygen. This post will give you a lot of info about CH treatments: https://clusterbusters.org/forums/forum/6-clusterbuster-files/ It's not clear to me that you have CH, which doesn't really cause severe pain 24/7. If you are having severe 24/7 pain with periods during the day when the pain is worse, and if you have tried standard CH medications without relief (particularly if you have tried oxygen and also tried injectable sumatriptan, or Imitrex), it seems more likely to me that you might have a condition that is very similar to CH but treated differently, called hemicrania continua (https://www.ninds.nih.gov/health-information/disorders/hemicrania-continua#:~:text=about related topics-,What is hemicrania continua%3F,both sides of the head.)

  5. Regarding the buggy behavior with mobile posts, here's our IT response so far: can't find any official bugs about this. I'm wondering if it could be a cache issue. There's a couple ways to test this on mobile, but none easy. * If on Android, (temporarily) try posting from a different browser. * If on iOS or Android, try posting from an incognito browser. If the problem goes away, they'll need to clear the internet browser cache on their phone. This link goes over how to do it for various platforms. https://harvard.service-now.com/ithelp?id=kb_article&sys_id=e934a5cf6fc9a204a3a79b9eae3ee4bf Warning: Some of those instructions include clearing cookies, which will log you out of all sites on your phone. However, it may be a necessary evil to resolve the issue.

  8. I had the same thought as @CHfather regarding the cluster-like HC (hemicrania continua) when you described your 24/7 symptoms @Jackie mielniczek. Even HC is unilateral though - are your headaches on one side at a time (which is a hallmark of both CH and HC)? The thing about topamax is it is a near universally reviled POS for being both ineffective and having the worst debilitating side effects (just as @kat_92 has described her experience), so since it is not helping you at all, well if it were me, I'd get off of it. Hate to say it, but if your neurologist isn't a headache specialist, you should seriously consider scooting on over to a specialist instead. Regular old non-specialist neurologists all too often don't know what to do with us.

  9. hi Jackie. I’m sorry you have to be here. Have you seen a neurologist and been appropriately diagnosed? In my experience with topamax, it did nothing to help my headaches. It made me feel like I belonged in a nursing home. I was 22 years old and could barely eat or take a shower. It’s truly horrible medication and I don’t know why a doc would prescribe it for this? Have you or your doctor thought about verapamil?

  10. @ Dallas Denny. Yes I did that’s why I visited this very site. Very informative documentary found it very interesting. I’ve battled cluster migraines ever since the accident caused me to become disabled. Before that I could count on one hand the headaches I had. I was informed by my disability lawyer that I could have gotten disability just on the migraines and frequency that they occur. At this point I do believe the neurologist are just grabbing at straws it feels like. If it’s a migraine med I’ve been prescribed it with lil to mild results. I’m outta options I feel like. So like I say I did see the NAT GEO special about this group seems promising to me. Thanks y’all.. jusnobody

Leave age out of it and get new glasses. LOL.
