Hey Doc Larry, I've been episodic for 27 years as well with cycles every 18 to 24 months. Last cycle was from Aug 15th thru Nov 26th of 2009. I've never experienced shadows......ususally when a cycle begins, I get a rogue hit followed by 2 or 3 PF days and it ramps up from there.......however, I have been experiencing episodes for the past 2 or 3 weeks of very minor pain along the same lines and points as is the past, watery eye and runny nose, buildup of pressure in my head......just like a full blown hit except for the fact that the pain level doesn't even approach the lower end of the Kip scale!!! I had one just a couple hours ago that was the strongest yet, but I still couldn't class it above a Kip 1. Another interesting point is that they've all occured during the daytime while I'm awake, while the majority of my hits in the past have been nocturnal. There's another thread on the board regarding the occurence of vivid dreams by another sufferer as a precurser to an approaching cycle.......I've never been aware of it before, but I have been having quite a few dreams the past few weeks and some of em were real vivid (jumped clean out of the bed last week gettin away from a BIG assed snake and landed knees first on hardwood.....woke my wife up and she was afraid I wasn't gonna be able to get up..lol) Along with you, I sense that I am in fact at the beginning of a cycle and the beast has just morphed one more time. Jennifer Yes, fresh picked specimens will work!! However, unless you have previous "pickin" experience, please don't let your desparation lead you to bad judgement!!!! Hi Clusterfields, No experience with Tricare, but I do know getting O2 prescribed thru the VA at a high flow rate was not possible for me here in Dallas. My suggestion would be to look into welding oxygen......order the optimask from the CH.com website and a 25 lpm regulator from ebay......around $100 for both.......go to your local welding supply and lease a tank of welding O2 and you're set.....here in the Dallas area, deposit on a M sized tank is $150, refills are $17, and rental fees on the tank is $8 a month. I agree Jerry!! I think the absolute best that we can hope for is a "Psilocybin Clinic"......operated in the same manner as Methadone Clinics......you go to the clinic with a Doctors order, the medication is dispensed and ingested in the presence of a Nurse in a treatment room, and when the meds wear off they discharge you. And that, in a nutshell, is all that we need!!!!! DD

Hi Narelle, First, I want to let you know that you're not alone.....we have several parents of sufferers here in the community!!! Secondly, initial dose size recommendation could vary in your daughters case based on several different factors....... .....does she have any prior recreational experience with indole ring substances ....does she have O2 therapy in place to combat the post dose hits ....is she taking any other prescription drugs other than the one mentioned Finally, I've sent you a PM with my phone number....please feel free to call anytime and I will do my best to answer any questions you might have.
