I don't know much about the memory loss.... my memory has never been the best. but I can attest to blacking out. Plenty of times I've woken up on the floor w/ no recollection how i got there just remember I had a really bad one.

since the head pains began for me i have been unable to step out in the sun w/o sunglasses on. my eyes are so sensitive to light nowadays that even bright lights inside buildings can set my head off. and if i don't eat for a few hours i will start to get a cluster hit. sounds about right to me.

i have also had the radio frequency ablation but with no luck. seemed like for 1 or 2 days it did help but then things seemed to get worse for a few months all the more power if it helps you. have you ever considered any of the ablations w the spheno ganglion (spelling??) somewhat like this post over on clusterattack.com http://www.clusterattack.com/blog/microvascular-decompression-of-the-pterygopalatine-ganglion/ i have had drs try and push me towards them but im quite gun shy after the ablation that and i have no insurance... best of luck steve

june gloom is alway a very bad time for me. always know we are starting summer here in so cal. when the pain and frequency kicks up this last odd pattern we had had me jumpin to my O2 every two hours day before it started and day after it ended.

my headache dr always told me to call her after hours line and she would then call ahead to the ER to inform them i was coming and what my condition was. thankfully i have never needed to do as such. mostly because im pigheaded about going to an ER. much to the bain of my wife who used to try and get me to go when i was slamming my head into things. thank God for busting. have not been there in quite awhile.

how have i not heard of vivid dreams starting ahead of clusters?? anyone know of other info on the dreams coming just ahead of the pain!?

i have never had tsa take my shots. whenever i travel i always bring them in carry on went to hawaii once with like 16 shots in my bag the screeners did not even mention them.

i second the it works well but the side effects are hell.. i have tried it twice - once on a similar taper to what your on and it stopped the worst of the pain but made me angry as all good hell.. the second time i was on it for much longer and at higher doses. it stopped the pain almost completely but i gained almost 40 pounds and the min i got off of it the pain came right back.. i would say tuff out the dose and see where you are at the end of it.. if you are not busting then i think the trial is worth it.

i can just say from my own exp. that i have had times where i woke up and felt it was gone. and other times it was a lomg drawn out proccess. but im chronic so things may very. even with busting my pain is never fully gone. if i hit one of my triggers ill get an attack. i would try busting again then wait 5-7 days and if ur not getting hit then push out the busting further. until u feel its quiet always best to listen to ur body.

i was on cymbalta for a long time before i found busting. stopped all meds before taking mushrooms but i can say that it helped me deal with the pain a lot better than i was before starting the cymbalta. just not sure if its ok to take with busting. im usually a little over cautious when it comes to mixing any medication.

i use small o2 tanks at 25 lpm and with practice can get through 10+ hits with one tank. i just breathe in fully then cut the supply for exhale i know u have read it all but i really suggest tanks of o2 and practice getting the air supply to cut inbetween lpm mine goes 20 - 25 amd there is a spot between them that cuts the flow off also when my cycle is its worst i bust every three days then cut back to every 5 after i can make it throufh 1 night with no hits. the slap back effect is common -
i would just make sure to ask that he not put anything down on paper or in ur file. i just asked to have a conversation with my dr and she was very good about understanding. esp if u have a long term relationship w/ the dr. they will just be pleased you have found relief.

get them all the time in low cycle the first cluster specialist i saw told me i did not have cluster headaches because i mentioned those pains in our interview. i just assumed they were common in chronic but not in episodic. maybe im wrong

right about the age of 27 (begining of the year- march i think) i started getting daily migraines. for about 6 months that was all then one night in around august i got my first cluster hit. lasted almost 3 hours and was one of the worst ones i have ever had. Luckily the Dr was very quick to point to clusters and after almost 4yrs chronic i found this site.

i was on cymbalta (another snri) before i started busting and found that it was helping in dealing with the pain. if you are not planning on using psychedelics for busting i would give the new med a go. esp if you end up with a diagnosis of hemecrania continum (spelling?). as the snri's show good promose in helping with that type of head pain.
