  1. I am a migraine sufferer which I treat the same way the folks here do their clusters (except for oxygen and imitrex injections, don't use those). For what it's worth, they always strike on the left side, focused mainly behind my eye.
  2. Fabac - Thanks for the entertaining and pertinent post. I was touched that your neighbor, block head that she can be, came around and gave you flowers! I have a lump in my throat...
  3. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing this CHfather. Good news on the reduction in number of migraines, Moxygirl!!
  4. Saw this and found it interesting. I am seeing more and more of this type of research with positive results when used in patients with mental illness: http://www.alternet.org/drugs/further-proof-psychedelic-mushrooms-could-help-keep-you-sane
  5. I think you would have had more than a few people doing whatever we could to help you out.
  6. Wow B.G. Thank you for your profoundly moving post and the incredible pictures. Now I know I HAVE to go to the next one. Dan - Glad to see you here!!
  7. Hi Libertas, You may be aware of this, but psilocybin is also effective in the treatment of migraines. Research is finding it could help with PTSD and I have heard it might also help with depression.Â
  8. Wow. That brought more than a few tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Thanks for posting this link. I've read the first few paragraphs and am finding it very interesting. It would be great for people who are hesitant to use the busting method of treatment due to fear of a mental break down of sorts as a result of using psychedelics. Or... a family member who may be reluctant to support this.
  10. This painting is frightening and hauntingly beautiful all at the same time.Â
  11. MG, You are one strong woman!
  12. Moxiegirl, What a vivid description, amazing. Thank you! I have migraines so have not experienced what you describe but my heart aches for everyone with CH, especially those without the help offered here. I am bookmarking this page so I can share your description with any of my friends or acquaintances who do not know the hell of CH.
  13. Purple, You are right. It looks like Ricardo posted a video on the same study. Somehow I missed that video. But, it's kinda nice to have it in writing, too, all nice and concise.
  14. I realize this is not directly related to CH but thought it might be of interest to those of us intrigued by "natural medicine." http://www.naturalnews.com/041393_psilocybin_psychological_disorders_magic_mushrooms.html Thanks!
  15. Wow, who knew. Thanks for the heads up. I had heard that these were stronger but never heard about paralysis.
  16. I get migraine headaches which is why I am here. I knew next to nothing about CH until I discovered this discussion forum. In fact, I questioned if I might have CH when my migraines were coming daily. Ha!! I know better now. While I have never had a cluster headache (or whatever the proper term is) to compare to my migraines, from the accounts I have read here and in doing a little research, I now realize that yours is the worst, most intense pain ever. I feel for you all and wish the public were more aware and sensitive to what you must suffer. Migraines - a ripple on a pond. CH - a tsunami.
  17. B.g. Like what? Can you explain please? Maybe someone, or several someones, have had similar experiences and can relate their experiences and help put any concerns you have to rest. I hope so...
  18. Do you think Dr. Robbins discuss or be open about busting the way many of us on this forum do? As an aside, in Morton Grove, IL, it is illegal NOT to own a gun, at least that is what my brother tells me. Yikes!
  19. Off to order that song on ITunes.
  20. Moxiegirl, Yes, that helps a lot, thank you. I may attempt a little higher dose next time and perhaps it will keep the HA at bay a little longer. Sorry, Clankfu, for hijacking your thread.
  21. Hi Moxiegirl, Can you tell me what dose you use? I am struggling with this as I need to dose practically every single week which is getting pretty old but much better than the alternative, migraines several times a week. I have tried everything from 1.2 or 1.3 all the way down to 0.5 g in an attempt to use the lowest amount possible to relieve my HAs. I really don't enjoy "tripping," especially every single week and want to achieve good pain relief without having to do that. I find when I take enough to feel the effects, it's pretty much a 5-6 hour event and I cannot do much else productive. Thanks,
