I just read this trial report. My takeaway is this: Comparative Effects of LSD and Psilocybin: The perceptual effects of a dose of 100 mcg LSD were found to be equivalent to a dose of 20 mg psilocybin in healthy volunteers. This is the first direct clinical evidence demonstrating the equivalence of psilocybin and LSD on acute psychedelic effects. Psychedelics & SSRIs: Psilocybin was found to be safe to administer together with an antidepressant. Daily pretreatment with escitalopram for two weeks prior to psilocybin administration, reduced anxiety and blood pressure increases associated with psilocybin but did not reduce the acute psychedelic experience in healthy volunteers. That is some important info that we need to think about and integrate here!!!

I can see why you would!!

Morning guys. I have removed the offensive content and the replies to the content so that the thread still held together. To those who tried to calm things down and stop the tirade that was posted, I thank you. The offender should understand this site and its' reason for existence. If they disagree with the founders work and reason for creating this site, then there are other sites to join and become involved in. Places that have the same world view that they hold and where they can find the support they want and need. Staying here to criticize is not appropriate. Period.

Welcome to the board Anthobob. Sorry you need to be here, but glad that you found us. Yes. DMT has been used by some with good success. Not sure how you are using the word 'microdose', but we consider that a very low dose of 0.3gm's or so. The standard is sort of a level one dose of about 1.2gm's. Enough to know that you took some. Please poke around and read a bit. There is a protocol and method that is used. Normally three busts all five days apart. You will find a lot of info in the Clusterbuster Files section of the board. You could start your own thread too, just to introduce yourself to the community. -
Bosco, I live on a mountain. From late September to the end of March was my cycle time every year. I quickly learned that going down the mountain - rising barometric pressure - was good. Going up the mountain was hell - falling barometric got me every single time. So, with this knowledge, I avoided flying for over a decade. I also avoided going down the mountain for about 6 months of the year too if at all possible. Then, I was invited to the Clusterbuster Conference by Bob, our founder. I had never been to one and I was determined to get on the plane and go. It was scary as hell too. But, with some caffeine caps in my pocket it went just fine! I did get hit when I was in Dallas, but only one thankfully and had lots of O2. The conference is always in late September, so it was a treacherous time for me to try it. My cycle is Equinox to Equinox and I was traveling on yes, the Equinox! I opened a caffeine cap and tossed it down with some coke when I got to the waiting area for the flight. I had upped my D for a few days prior to traveling. I can't take the energy shots and such, so I stuck with just plain old caffeine powder. It went just fine. I had checked on O2, but it would be at the conference, so I left that alone. I still am cautious going down the mountain in winter and carry caffeine. I also take a pain pill for the bad shadow I am prone to getting when driving back up. It is two lane up into the Great Smokey's and twisting all the way. No place to pull off and fight. So, the prevent comes into play big time for me. Hopefully you too can devise a method to get you around to both of your homes with less disruption. At least that is why I am putting this in here! I think that soon you will feel comfy trying RC Seeds for your CH. Easy to try and little to no trip. Really easy medicine to take. Hopefully you will feel confident enough to cross that bridge soon. I don't think that you have tried them yet!! If so, I missed it! "Fate whispers to the Warrior 'You cannot withstand the storm.' The Warrior whispers back 'I am the Storm.' Be the storm. You are becoming the Warrior, learn to be the storm too. Survive and Thrive.

So, I am wondering how you get Ketamine if the doc won't Rx it? 'Here's a matchbox of crystals. Take two at first. If no relief, take one more.' ???? I suspect that I am in the poultry family!!!! Run like mad if I don't understand it!

The appearance of the vein on your forehead is likely due to muscle tension. It will push a vein closer to the surface. Like working out and growing muscle causes veins to 'pop' as they say. As your muscles get stronger and stay 'hard' even when you are relaxed, the veins stay closer to the surface. I have none of that, but I do have deep forehead wrinkles on my CH side due to working the muscles to pull up the eyelid that was drooping severely. I succeeded in getting the lid up, but at the cost of wrinkles I don't like!! Ah, the give and take of CH. It doth suck. Welcome to the board BTW!! Glad that you found us! Sorry that you suffer this lousy condition, but hopefully the board can provide some help and support for you.

Devon, I almost put up Hurt last night!!! Loved the interview that I saw Johnny did about it after it was made. Great cover!!! So emotional.

Advil pm has benadryl in it most likely! Most 'pm' meds do. Cheap to add and it works!

This was the song sung to my son as a baby and toddler. In the key of me! Very easy to sing, even when you are tone deaf. Give me two buckets and I might be able to carry a tune. Jr did a much more 'stylish version later on. But this one has meaning for me.

Juss, I see an FNP. More respect, more interest, and more time. She has recently been moved into her own office by the hospital she works for! This is the third office that I have followed her to and the first one that is hers alone. I find that the interest is there and she thinks about her patients. Actually had a medicine prescribed by her two weeks ago that is allowing me to eat protein again. The gastro tried to take credit for the script when I told her that my PCP had given me samples and it was working very well. 'Nope, I will not let you call in the script!! That is the job of the one who gave the medication to me to me in the first place.' Gastro left me hanging for three years now and my FNP figured it out within two weeks of seeing her. Medicine is crazy. The study on frankincense is interesting. I wonder why it had no follow up? Have you read the Licorice Root Protocol? It is in the files thread.

For the past many years, one cup of coffee for me in the morning. Any other caffeine I drink is for my head. During bumpy weather times, I make cold brewed coffee and keep it in the fridge. Other times, I am all over the V-8 Energy!!! There is always some of that in the fridge too. When traveling, I keep caffeine pills in my car. Those are 200mg of caffeine. It's all about what works for you!!!

Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful Bosco!!!

Love you too Tony!! Yes, I am doing well this fall. I think that the lack of discussion regarding ADHD meds might be due to the fact that so many adults don't have them and never got them, even if they needed them! But, those days are changing. They are definitely in the mix for some. I suspect they will not block. I was concerned regarding serotonin, but that is put to rest now. I would definitely get her on the D3 Regimen. Now! Nothing but good for almost all humans. Perhaps the system there will require time to get the blood work, but she can start the regimen before the blood work. She might want to start with seeds to test the waters with no trip involved. Sort of ease into the busting part. Not sure if Valium or other such for anxiety is easily available, but it can be a comfort to have one on hand. It will not adversely affect her bust either. Hugs!!

In the USA it is called Ritilin and used for ADD and ADHD. The following is what I found regarding it: https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2013/021284s020lbl.pdf The sytem will not allow me to post a section of this article for you, but on page one, it states that it affects Dopamine and Norephinephrine. As you know Tony, we are not doctors! But it does not seem to be a concern for Serotonin Syndrome. As to whether it will still work? I would think so, but again, not a doctor or chemist. Nor can I say whether it will react in another way with busting materials. Can they get seeds? How old is the daughter?

If I ever figure out what two keys get tapped on occasion and wipe out my writing, I am going to rip out that one key!!! I want to hear of you going out and doing all of those things Bosko!! You will post about that again too, right? You have come a long way since you first arrived here. Kick the twitch, don't sweat it, and go play!!! Hugs!!!

Everyone has covered it pretty darn well Shaun. I find utter delight in helping one person become pain free. Each of them are special. And I consider them all friends. Stay safe, happy, and loving. Life will be great!

Here is the initial treatment referred to as the D3 Regimen. https://vitamindwiki.com/tiki-download_wiki_attachment.php?attId=7708 This is will show you what you need to take daily for CH reduction or prevention. Many add Benadryl at night - either one or two at bedtime. It helps get rid of histamine and that helps a good bit. You can take the benadryl during the day as well if it does not make you too sleepy.

I understand the Hemicrania suggestion. Jeebs is correct, it is most definitely something to consider. And the question of 'is this it?' can be answered quickly with a trial of Indomethacin, but not by a doctor that treats their CH patients like you have been treated. Again, ask your PCP for help!! She seems a lot more caring than this headache specialist neuro jerk. On the other hand, the spikes you describe are not migraine like and that is how they are most often described for H.C. Please try some of the easy pieces suggested above and let us know how it goes? Your description reminds me so much of how I feel about my hits. The pressure behind your eye, I too get, along with my eyelid feeling swollen before I get a hit. It can be hours before too. It is not incapacitating, but dang annoying and predictive. The major pain is gone, but the raw etched out feeling remains.

It sounds, to me, like you have bad heavy shadows lasting 2-3 days with your clusters in between. As in you get a shadow and tells you an ice pick is coming. Then you get the cluster and it resolves, but not completely and you still have a heavy shadow. Caffeine and ginger (tea, pill, candy) are very good for shadows. O2 will also help. The 'ice pick' part you describe is the Cluster and fits the time frame. The pains in between are shadows and other nasty shite from CH. Like getting a Cluster knot on the back of your head or neck that hurts like the devil and puts you on notice that a hit is coming. I am shocked regarding the 'medical' treatment that you have received! Have you ever had an MRI? Anytime in the last 5 years have you had one? You need one! It rules out 'other' stuff and helps clarify your CH situation. CH will not show on an MRI. In my opinion and we all have one, your treatment is barbaric. 'We can get O2, but it will take a while. How about some shots in the mean time? And I will see you back in three months. I hope that you have a PCP that you trust and who will work with you. He/she can get you a MRI and give you a Pred taper for a week. Just to see if it kills the hits for a few days! They can also start you on Verapamil, but will most likely go with a low dose. You want short acting, not ER when you do get the Verap!! I'm going to skip down and read Jeebs post and go from there Cursed. You have truly been put through a ringer and not offered a stinking thing. Your rant is fine and don't apologize for expressing your pain or frustration. We do know it!!

In through nose and out through mouth is because you have a cannula. Many, myself included, use the breathing tube. It is just a tube that you suck the O2 through and no mask sits on your face. I can't handle the pressure of the mask. When not inhaling, a valve closes off the opening in the tube and directs the O2 to fill the bag hanging from it and you exhale out the tube. That gives you ready O2 for the next breath. I like to run mine a little high as the force of the O2 pushing when I inhale, seems to help with my aborts. With the Redneck bag, you inhale through your mouth and out anyway you want to exhale. It will give you more O2 than that tubing will too. As you are holding your breath for a few, it is still filling the bag. So, you have more to pull from and are not limited by the 3lpm delivered by the regulator. Accurate!!! Works best for me. For nocturnal hits, you can try sleeping in a recliner with your head above your heart. This enables you to wake earlier in a hit and get on the O2 sooner. And not going 'prone' just plain seems to help many of us. I have spent whole 6 month cycles in the recliner that I hate!!! It is old and ugly, but serves a great purpose. Others sleep on pillows on a table in front of them. I can sleep a bit if I do not lie down to do so. Cold air inhale also jives with ice cube in roof of mouth. Both are hitting the soft palate with cold, blood vessel shrinking temps. So stuck inside? Grab an ice cube and hold it up there with your tongue. Weird things can and do help.

Thanks for posting that link CHF! Yes AC, your inquiries and willingness to move forward on your own, sans medicos, will speed the process up by a lot. Knowledge is power and you are acquiring knowledge, ergo power over your CH!! Jon needs to post a Superman Gif about now!!!

Yes, it is very important for the community for those who have taken Emgality to post their results. I too thank you Icantdance!!
