  1. I would say yes Fabac. It is much easier and more satisfying to face multiple issues, pick the one to fix and fix it first. Then, continue down the list. However, I often have the most difficulty with the last issue. Not because it is the most important per se (sp?), but because it is the only thing to focus on. I tend to over research or over think that item and take forever to resolve it!! But, that could be because I save the hardest or most ambivalent for last! I can spend three days deciding what quilt to buy when it would be much easier to order two and send one back!!! I just get stuck. :-/ I always blame the perfectionist part! It drives my family nuts. Just can't seem to jump into what might be a wrong decision, even if it is easily fixed. Not actually sure that answers your question, but it describes my reaction to that situation. That was one nice thing about working. You never got to where there was just one thing left on the plate!!! ;D
  2. Yup, it certainly is my first! Thank you kind sir! [move] [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif][/move]
  3. That branch of the trigeminal nerve is in yellow - by the upper teeth. So does the mandibular branch. They lead back to the main part - up and behind the tongue. Bingo! Wow Jeebs!! Now I have to save your directions somehow!! 8-)
  4. Alex, That sucks about your stomach. The only input here is that I also have chronic inflammation of stomach and esophagus along with Gerds. I have had ulcers twice now too. > I take Prilosec twice a day and have for years. I don't think that this treatment would negatively affect except I don't know about the biopsy issues! Hopefully someone else can chime in with more info. Do you have Gaviscon over there? It really helps with acid reflux pain. all the Best!
  5. Phil: We all love success stories like yours! Many use the D3 regimen year round and some still need to bust. It is a bit of a hassle to tote whole bottles around, but you can just pack enough for the trip in one bottle. didgens: Solstice and Equinox are common start times for episodics. No matter if you are south of the equator or north, the same thing happens. Just that south the fall Equinox signals longer days coming, not shorter and the Solstice is reversed too. Maybe the Equator would be a good place to go!!! ;D
  6. I am sure that you will stay on top of that issue!!!!! Knowledge is power, right? Glad to hear that you have been doing so well. 8-)
  7. Pressure drops are worse than beer!!!!! > Even OOC, I can tell when the baro is dropping because I will get strong shadows or rogue hits. Fabac: Born and raised in Louisiana and married a Marine. Is that it?????
  8. Fabac, Hahaha!!! Yesssss, I used to do that cleaning thing too. But, now that I am officially retired, not so much. 8-) Since none of my kids keep as neat a house as I still do, I no longer worry about such! Also with THMH on the engineering, designing, creative stuff. But, like I said, retired now. No longer spend time working on how to make something run smoother, longer, better, or produce more product! But, I really did enjoy it. Every personality test given by prospective employers came out analytical, controller or controller, controller! ;D I still do not accept things beyond my control willingly.
  9. Perfectionist traits abound here!!! ;D They certainly do slow down what I do, but without trying for perfect, I am not going to like the outcome. Confession: I keep pen and paper by the bed for midnight thoughts about what I need to do the next day and so forth. : I can't claim obsessive because once I 'finish' something, it is totally let go. I do not have to check the door 10 times to make sure it is, in fact, locked! When I sit, I read. A lot.
  10. Fabac, I can't think of anything BETTER than getting your life back. Look out family, Mom is on a roll!!!!! [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]
  11. You are most welcome didgens. Someday I hope we have an answer as to why they change. Perhaps it is a case of 'that which does not change, dies'!!!!!!!
  12. didgens, I have no change at all with sinus issues. I went the path of 'You need sinus surgery to cure this headache; many years ago. CH side sinuses were reamed out and septum was straightened. No relief at all Also went the route of 'Remove this tooth with the root canal and your head will be fixed. Not true either. Oh, the latest is I got a concussion last week, hit on the CH side. That did not help either. But, the dog is fine! ;D Keep looking though. I enjoy your posts!
  13. Agree with diamondmaker. I save the beer test for after I have been PF for about 2 weeks. Just because I have teased the beast before by hitting the suds too soon. It bit back. >
  14. Smoke, black top, paint, perfume, gas are triggers for some, as is alcohol. Didgens, can you get him to lay off the beer? It seems to play into the picture. PF for 2-4 weeks before drinking is a nice conservative approach. Then again, a hit with the first few sips of beer can be a signal that a cycle is starting. >
  15. Wait, you supposed to peel them??????? ;D Oops.
  16. Well, I am a bit out of your parameters via age, but I have had these since I was about 22. So, questions? What do you mean by 'my body changes in each cluster'? I will gladly try to help if I can. spiny
  17. Timothy, Do you have Clusters? This is a very old thread to be resurrected for your comments. We are here to help, but you have given us no info to help with. spiny
  18.  Truth!!! 8-) Please add your endorsement if you feel the same!
  19. Fabac, Yes, check it out. You need all three hormones in balance. I notice a definite difference in how I feel. I still take a monthly shot and if I run over a week late, look out!! ;D
  20. I have been told that an attack can be triggered with Nitroglycerin when in cycle or anytime for those who are chronic. But, having an attack during an MRI would be awful!!! But, having a MRI is important to rule out other issues.Â
  21. Hi TedM! My addition here is to add an energy drink - caffeine + taurine. Energy shots can be downed in one or two swallows. Many keep one or two with them all the time for hits like you experienced at the game. You can also get a small O2 tank for keeping in your car. Chug the energy shot and hit the O2. Personally, I keep coffee with me, since I can't down the energy drinks. With the nocturnal hits, I hit the caffeine on my way to the O2 at home. Also, avoiding lying down is a big one for many. In cycle, I use a recliner to get some zzz's. I found this one out by accident and when I mentioned it, several members chimed in that they do the same. As for the post hit headache, I try aspirin. And I do not bend over for any reason!!! Pick something up off the floor and feel the pain ratchet up. That is my reaction. Hope this helps a bit while you sort out the rest. All the best, spiny
  22. birdman, Several members sleep in a recliner in cycle or all the time if required. One piles pillows on her desk and puts her head on the pile to sleep!! I discovered it by accident about two years ago. Once mentioned on the board, several folks piped up that they did the same. It helps a lot when the hit is a 6 when you wake, not an 8!!! For whatever reason, propping up your head can help with those night time bruisers. Most of mine come from 8pm to 6am - four per night running just over two hours each. koctail: Short acting is supposed to be better than the extended relief Verap. When I was on it, I would take one at bedtime and another after the first hit. I would add the energy drink or coffee to the O2 routine!! ASAP. It does make a difference.
  23. Melatonin helps some of us with nocturnal hits. Some go up to 20mg, others 30mg. I have taken 30mg spaced over the night with success. The biggest help for those nighttime hits for me is to NOT lie down. I partially recline in the recliner. That helps a lot. Prone, I get my first hit in less than 30 minutes. Usually about 15. In the recliner that does not happen. Do I sleep as well as normal? No. But I don't hurt all night either! And I do get to sleep from 6 to 8am and that helps. Also, I use caffeine before and with my O2. That helps a lot! Coffee, energy drink, or V8 Fusion Energy. Since I can't drink the energy drinks, I rely on coffee and now the V8. All the best, spiny
  24. Yeah Jeebs, coming up the mountain is the problem. No place to pull off unless you wish to hit the mountain or fly down to the valley! 30 plus miles of two lane. But, life is still good, right? Yes.
  25. Life goes on, right? Yes it does. This early bird will not win and get the worm as they say!!!! Not to worry. 8-) The V8 is great too!Â
