ok, so let me start with the fact that I'm a bit of a research aficionado at times.... It seems there is a single user on wikipedia that's the source of 100% of the removal of and editing out of anything related to LSD, LSA and Psilocybin... 51505150VH is this persons id on wikipedia. I also found there is a VERY handy "undo" button for any and all to use.. I read one of his/her justifications that any reference to illegal substances shouldn't be included in medical information. Interesting.... I guess this person should rewrite history that cocaine was never used as a numbing agent, nor mushrooms used for... ummm alleviating headache in past times either.... The information this person removed from the CH wikipedia borders on the edge of seriously disgusting. He/She single handedly removed "Suicide Headache" from the article when that's one of the most common references to CH, and has been since (most likely) that person was even born... He/She seems very knowledgeable, but also on a clear agenda to smite anything related to actually providing PUBLIC information on the subject of CH through Wikipedia. I propose that anything this person adds/removes "WE" as a community subsequently use the "UNDO" button until he/she realizes they are outnumbered... I am in the process of using the UNDO on several of his/her edits now.... J

Never done that before!!! I sense I might do it again someday. Studies performed by dr's R. Andrew Sewell, John H. Halpern and Harrison G. Pope, Jr, have concluded that Psilocybin, LSD and LSA have a significantly higher efficacy rate than any other prescription medicine available. Their study published in Neurology 2006;66, showed that LSD had an 88% and Psilocybin a 52% effectiveness at stopping an active Cluster Headache cycle as opposed to the generally accepted mainstream treatment of Verapamil was only 5% [100] I added the 53 person CH study as reference (#100) at the bottom of the article, from Dr's Sewell, Halpern and Pope... VERY odd that their article either hasn't been referenced before or has been removed (as I'm pretty sure I saw it in the reference some years ago... oh, and it looks like my changes showed up right away... That's sorta scarry that anyone can make changes to those docs on wikipedia.

Never done this before, but I'm editing the wikipedia article now. Making reference to Dr Sewell's etc. studdies. Dunno if the "save" button will actually work.... We'll see.

VERY sad that the best treatment I've ever had for my CH is relegated to this one tiny sentence at the bottom of this otherwise thourough article: "Some isolated case reports have also suggested that ingesting LSD, psilocybin or cannabis can reduce cluster headache pain and interrupt cluster headache cycles" Very sad the missuse and restrictive control of information by small minded people.... I do recall a few years ago the information in wikipedia was much better covered regarding LSD, psilocybin, and LSA...

iPain, From what I gather in your post, I suspect your dose is 'on the fence' of tripping. Jeebs mentioned above that many here have discussed the same issue, if the dose is just over the tripping threshold, many have increased anxiety (myself included). If I take 2g it's a completely different experience than when I've taken 1.2g. 1.2 and my thoughts are very distracted and regularly just "want it out of me". 2g and I might have 5 minutes of anxiety then i'm offffffff to wonderland... Bubblesup, Sad that possibly the best path to solve something is to lie. A direct result of the gov banning substances that definitely have positive help for many of us. I'd have to agree with Ricardo. First and foremost is taking care of yourself and your family. The most direct route for that is likely back peddeling, and trying to prove you're not a drug user. A friend of a friend --- Had to think long and hard about being honest with his doctor \ neurologist. In the end he decided being dishonest is the best policy... He gets his medical through the VA and there's a catch 22 with medical treatment at the VA. If you're an illegal drug user they will revoke your medical treatment. It's a catch 22... Be honest and have your medical taken away. Be dishonest and continue to receive medical benefits... Best of wishes for you and please keep us posted on your situation. :'(

Betty, Just because I prefer to err on the side of caution I mention the following Jeebs definitely knows his stuff, but be cautious when redosing. If you make sure your set and setting are 110% ok, then redosing is ok. In the event it's just taking longer than the average person for the first dose to kick in. The second dose could put you to the stars, in a bit of an unexpected manner. Happened to me once. I thought the seeds (HBWR) was weak, so I took about 50% more about 3 hours after the first dose. Not more than 5 minutes after redosing the first dose kicked in. The seeds were actually the strongest I'd ever had and I had some pretty strong anxiety when I realized that second dose was going to take me even further in... Again, it's perfectly safe as long as your set and setting are good (sitter etc) and you understand and accept the possiblity your dose could take off a little more than expected. Best wishes!

Sergical81, I've found preventative dosing is the best thing I've ever done for my CH. I started out dosing every 90 days with LSA. after a year it quit working. Been dosing every 60 days (almost) ever since. I've tried extending the time twice and twice had a NASTY cycle start almost exactly at the 90 day mark. So far as I can walk and talk, I'll dose every 60 days for the rest of my life. Never again will I go more than 75 days.

I also preventative dose every 2 months. If you just dosed and are already getting shadows, you might want to change the substance you're using. Try LSA or LSD... (I wouldn't change to the roulete wheel of RC, instead go for the HBWR. Just be clear, the side effects can be pretty nasty with HBWR. Read, read, read and be prepared for a good hurl....) While the body discomfort is a LOT more with HBWR, the mind effects are a drop in the bucket compared to fungus. For that reason alone I prefer HBWR and maintenance dosed with it till 2 years ago, when it quit working out of the blue. At that point I changed to fungus, but plan on going back to HBWR at the point I can get a reliable supply of potent seeds.

Alcohol = bad ju ju.... I'd recommend changing his birthday. (ok, maybe just the celebration It wouldn't make for a very good birthday to get a K10. Roughly one swallow of alcohol puts me within 20 minutes an easy K8 to 10.

Austin, I think many can provide concurrance that over the years of having CH it often gets worse. Mine as an example got worse almost incimentally each year (have had CH for 26 years). Before I started the halucinogen treatments, I had flipped from being in cycle more time each year than being out of cycle. As I recall I had about 2 months PF time between the end of one cycle and the start of the next. I now only preventative dose and I've been pain free for the vast majority of the last 3 years. Good luck on your busting. I'm confident it will help you significantly!!

I'd have to agree with Marc. ER is the last place I'd be going. Personally never had a good experience at the ER. Either my attack is over by the time they call me back. (ER's are good at ignoring someone writhing in pain in the waiting room)... Or, they refuse to do anything of actual benefit to the CH attack. Instead they want you to wait an hour for a useless MRI.... Once an urgent care center did help, before I got a script for O2. The nurses quickly called my neurologist that confirmed what I told them that I needed 100% O2. Within 5 minutes of getting there, they had me a tank and non-rebreather mask. NEVER got that from an emergency room. They're more focused on proper procedure and policy....

So this thread struck my curiosity and I searched for the cluster headache group that's run by a Chris, but am unable to find it. What facebook page are we talking about? (PM it to me please What I did find was over a dozen Cluster Headache support facebook pages, that appear to have CB people all over them.. ha ha... I might have missed the memo changing our facebook pictures to include the cute CB picture frame. How's that get created? It does look pretty awesome to open a page and see all these "CB" pictures all over them.

Spot on DM! That first one in your post looks like a really good deal. Paired with the demand regulator it could make O2 go a little further.

Good find! Looks like a high pressure flare fitting on the hose. It takes a special 1st stage regulator that mounts on the tank to fit it. Just want to make sure anyone buying one knows it won't fit a regular O2 Medical tank (without the additional regulator).
